Engelbert is magical ! This is so beautiful and the best version I have ever heard ! He is so stunning with an unbelievable voice ! So rare to see a singer with a divine voice and good looks to make it so magnificent ! He is the "King of Romance." I love him so still at the young age of 84 ! He is wonderful !
Just watched and listened to this again. Bebu Silvetti, of note, says and I concur that Enge has a range that no other singer has. Beautiful voice,one take singer, superb live and what an arranger Bebu Silvetti was. Music, made by two of the absolute best, and as if made in Heaven.

This was from my favourite Enge dvd which reminded me to play it again today. In my opinion this was the very peak of the wonderful voice and range, late 50's early 60's. the fantastic orchestra was also better than the noisy bands of today. What do you think?

I do not know why there is a high turnover in the bands that accompany him. In 2011 he had a wonderful band with top notch musicians, but suddenly everything changed, I do not understand the reasons for this .... you know Franci i got something to share with you when i went to a small town west of fort worth texas called mineral wells tx one girl at a restaurant called taco casa i stopped to eat one time and i was playing englebert and bebu's music and this girl asked me if benus music was new and i tole her yes it was new when i was about 7 to 8 years old ,i asked her you dont go hardly nowhere and she told me she doesnt only local towns and cities and told her i have been alot of places in the world, spain ,england, japan, mexico, canada, hawaii, peru and other countries and there music is well heard where ever i go
