I left playing my 12 string, banjo and recorder during Covid to write a children's fantasy (fantasy stories can tell reality better than some non-fiction--you can say the truth so easily.) I love this song. I just sang it at my brother's funeral. Just changed up some of the words a little. I barely made it through the 1st verse before all the tears started. I practiced without crying, but when I saw him in the casket it was completely different.....there's a better home awaiting for my brother in the sky.

Too brilliant for any words. This is the best. I modeled my rendition on old-time banjo after the Staple Singers. So haunting and wonderful. I left playing my 12 string, banjo and recorder during Covid to write a children's fantasy (fantasy stories can tell reality better than some non-fiction--you can say the truth so easily.) I am no one you've ever heard. So what. I love you all so well--your music, your truth and goodness in song.

I love this song. I just sang it at my brother's funeral. Just changed up some of the words a little. I barely made it through the 1st verse before all the tears started. I practiced without crying, but when I saw him in the casket it was completely different.....there's a better home awaiting for my brother in the sky.
