100% get your steering wheel customised somewhere (retrimmed, flat bottom etc) will make your cabin feel 10x newer

I’m going with 17inch rims so it’s still got nice sized wheels but can also be a bit low
How’s yours handle in the rain? Mine hates the rain but it’s fun sometime just loves to let the back end slide but I think it’s because the tyres on it? I’ve never drove one before this so don’t know if it’s like that but I’m sure it’s not it’s somewhat dangerous,

I bought a standard 1.8t few months back, glad I got rid. Was averaging 28mpg and it wasnt even fast.
I went back to a MK4 from an Audi A4 Avant and it feels light and speedy ... God I missed the MK4 GTi .....alot

I had my mk4 on 60mm spring and the right side always rubbed on bumps something to do with fuel tank I dunno
Watch the oil sump on humps and pot holes I hit a pot hole in hayling island and put a hole in my sump, I’ve not long had my gti but it’s cost me enough already,
96 Spencer Upgraded sumps are every common in Ireland for mk4 golfs/boras etc

The back is to low raise it a bit because your tire is hitting your chassi i know the sound😅

You should get a steering wheel for the whip? That OEM one is bulky I think 💭🤔
You need 215 40 18 that will give you more clearance also you will need tt front sway bar and then you should be ok

Your axles are probably going to rub against the Front Sway Bar. Also the oil pan may rub on the ground so watch that.
I bet if you had got the coupe over the roadster you would have like to drive the tt more.
Yeah possibly, it just felt like a proper heavy car
@@BWTV I think the roadster is about 90kg heavier than the coupe and the coupe is alot more rigid. So its like driving around with an extra person in the car at all times. I would love the vr6 coupe 😍🎶🎶

Honest no idea, just stuck with the R32 wheels as they look good and at a decent price
It sounds like the wheels are scraping on the arch liner
Tyre scraping the arch bud but as u already no the arb will clang off of the drive shaft on the drivers side every now and then lol
Now, since u drive on bumpy roads you should watch out your oil pan(sump).. unfortunately it sits low... I cracked 2 of them..
Get motor mount spacers 2cm more clearane👍👍
Get some engine raisers from creation motorsport mate or you will loose your sump really quickly go for the 20mm thick ones

@@BWTV definitely worth doing mate it raises the sump above the subframe and it also straightens up the angle of the drive shaft best mod I did to my golf after going through 2 sumps in the space of a week 😂😂
