For others reading comments for info, I picked up a brand new return. Never ran. gas leaked right out when filled. Pulled the tank and they not only didn’t connect the fuel line between tank and fuel valve which I read in other instances, but there wasn’t even one installed. Got fittings from hardware store. Pull started and ran but then no electric start. Took front panel off and power wire to main battery switch was not connected dangling there. Everything works now. Also read reports of harnesses not connected so also check those. If you can find a deal on these not running, good chance it’s something simple after reading many bad reviews on them. Seems like a good machine just horrible assembly. Thanks again for great video and guidance.
It was just wayyy overfilled with oil. so much so that it couldnt even rotate well. I did find a few other things after filming this video, there was a wire in the main harness that had started rubbing through the insulation so i put some liquid tape on there and zip tied it away from the part where it was rubbing. The oil changes on these are such a mess though
Appreciate the reply. I’m about to pick a new one up with a fuel leak for a good deal, not as good as yours, but read that floats hanging and overflowing carb and fuel lines broke not connected from factory are not uncommon. Just trying to get any information on these that I can. Heard a lot of horrible reviews! Most a seem to be minor fixable things from horrible assembly and QC. We’ll see. Thanks again.
@@joshsteele4931 Sorry, sold the generator. Basically you take off the right side grey cover, may or may not have to take the black plastic cover off under that, and in the opening down and to the left of the battery compartment you should see it, its got the battery tender connector on it with the rubber cap. The other option is to plug in a < 1a adapter plug into the battery charger port on the front of the generator.
Last question, if I use the charging port on the front of the generator, does the battery need to be turned on or off or does it matter. Hoping you know before I sit on hold for an hour with the company.
@@joshsteele4931 Oof yikes i heard their customer service isnt great. That part I think it doesnt matter, the trickle charger shouldnt be going through the switch on the front just straight to the battery, the switch is delivering power to the starter motor (I think). Try it both ways, start with it off first for about 5-10 mins on the charger. If you have the battery compartment open, you can actually pull/slide the battery out like a cheapo drill battery and press the button and see how many lights light up on it. Also check the fuse in the front panel, it is not a high powered fuse, so if you put too powerful of a plug into that barrel connector on the front it might pop that fuse preventing charging. The battery should also just charge up while its running... you could just do the pull cord to get it running and let it run for like 10-15 mins and that should have it charged up enough to restart. If not your battery may be dead dead.

Where on the pulsar generator do you find the low oil sensor
So we live off grid
I was wondering how far the remote reaches
I don’t have the unit anymore but i think it said it would do up to 100feet or so
I must have of missed it, but what fixed it? Thanks

How did you hook up the charger to charge the battery?
This generator has a battery tender plug that I hooked some alligator clips to
@@DenalisGarage any way you could hook it up and post a picture?
