    Krona is such a chill boating cat! He really steals the show - I find myself looking forward to seeing him in your videos. We're trying to get our female cat Dandelion used to a harness so she can safely go boating with us. She's already an adventure cat that loves going on road trips with us. She loves looking out the car windows while we're driving.

      He's my boating Buddy and we love his company on the boat! I keep telling him that we'll be back there soon, and he can watch the Giant Ducks and chase bugs again ;-)

    I have to say, that's about the shortest cruise on one day I've ever seen you two do! Only shorter one would be for a pump out at home base! Fabulous trip you two were on. I'm enjoying following along!

      Yes, that was two days in a row that we traveled only short distances, but glad we did it that way. Apart from one jerk at this lock, it was a good stop for the day.
      Tomorrow's video finally takes up to Lock 8, Percey Reach. Spoiler alert; that one is comprised mostly of still photos, so I hope you'll like it that's gonna be the norm for a few upcoming videos, as I just wasn't in the mood to capture video at this point...

      Good. We're getting close to wrapping up the series and I'm looking forward to getting back to the boat to begin Spring launch prep. Hopefully our weather starts warming up in the coming weeks...

      @@BoatingWithBoogaboo ya the marina I used to be in is busy pulling shrink wrap and doing hulls right now. They will probably be launching 1st week of April which is good for power boats. Sail will have to wait a couple for the lake to come up a bit.

    An idea for a future video. You should have a video of all the boats that you've. The makes, models, and years. How long you owned the boats for? Were your parents boaters?

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  Год назад +1

      That's easy! Six Sea Rays in a row 🤣
      Yes, I've been meaning to do a video like that for the past couple of years, but always end up getting too busy with my regular vids. Hopefully I can get to that this season.
      And yes, I grew up boating with my parents. 52 years and counting!!

      That's really cool that you've had six Sea Rays. Wonderful to hear that your parents got you into boating. My parents got me into boating. Grew up boating. I miss having a boat. The boats that I had were a 1976 14' Lund. Then a 2001 25' Baja outlaw Now currently boatless. Wanting to get a early 2000s and older 23-25' Sea Ray cabin cruiser.

    interesting comment on the looper traffic. It makes sense as we see the majority of them in the north channel in August. Will keep that in mind when we eventually head down that way.

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo

      Yes, this was filmed on the last day of July and the majority of Loopers have already passed through here. We got to see them all on our way down, a few weeks earlier 😀
      I believe I mentioned the app called Nebo which is popular with that crowd. Within the app, one can publicly share their position (if not too cheap to pay for data) and many follow each other to stay in touch during their journey. It can also be used by others who just want to track their friends' boat(s), or determine how many Loopers are on the TSW or The Bay 😉

      He's just interested in watching them, not so much for capturing. Our home port marina is inundated with those feathered creatures and he has learned that mere observation is preferable to jumping off the boat 😉

    Hey Paul, trying to plan our summer cruising. On average, how long would you say it takes to get from Campbellford wall to Hastings? Thx

      We were five hours to make that run on our last two trips that way (2022 + 2019).

    You mentioned NEBO. Do you use the NEBO features to track your trips? I downloaded the app and hope to use it for our voyage this summer.

      I've never personally used the app, but Anchor Girl did last summer to track the Loopers. Helped with determining where available spots might be on our cruise, as many of them tend to travel in packs ;-)

    Question you mention purchasing lock pass before the end of march My question when I state my length do I place the stated length or the real length which is about 4 ft longer with swim platform and bow.

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  Год назад

      As a wise lockmaster told me a few years back, your boat has two lengths; one for when you're talking to your buddies, and another for when you're buying lock passes, dockage or having work done on it 🤣
      Our boat is a '370' model, so it's a 37' 😉
      Don't sweat it, nobody looks, measures or frankly cares. So long as Parks Canada gets some money, everyone's happy 👍
