Before the knockout you see Jake wanted to throw the right hand but wanted to see how Woodley would respond. Woodley brought his guard down to defend the body punch and Jake stored that info, then sold to Woodley that he was going hard to the body. You can see the level change and the eyes, then bam lights out. Thats not luck that takes drills and repetition he's legit in my eyes for sure now

You also have to keep in mind that it's quite impressive that Tyron managed to survive to the sixth round considering he was only informed he was going to fight a few weeks ago, so he only had a few weeks to prepare. Huge respect to Tyron for accepting the fight and doing so well at such short notice.
Leading up to him taking the fight he literally said he’s been training.
@@ferretboul You do realize that Tyron was preparing to fight someone else, he wasn't prepared to fight Jake. He did specific training to fight against the techniques of another opponent. He's also much older than Jake so he isn't as fit. His training would've been different if he had known he was fighting Jake months before.
@@descendingforth He was training to fight former UFC contender Dan Hardy & had already fought Paul recently so he was in fighting shape. There was no adjustments to make specifically for Hardy because Hardy hasn't boxed professionally so Tyron was just trying to get better overall.
He was training for Jake longer than Jake trained for Tyron, you should respect Jake aswell

That is why boxing skills are so important! Two humans fighting is all about blocking ( protecting yourself ) and striking ( inflicting damage on other opponent ) and sometimes if your clever enough you can get that right split second in time when your opponent has accidently let his guard down and in the split second you are able to connect a powerful enough punch you might be able to take then down and end the fight because a humans ability to also be able to take a punch is extremely important so those three things make the difference between a great fighter and one that does not have the ability to put those two skills into motion both offense and defense at the same time while enduring pain and fighting off fatigue so to be a champion a fighter must have ( offense, defense, stamina AND be able to take a punch! )

I've always wondered why people overlooked the differences in physique between the two. Not just differences in age or experience. While many say rigged, staged, I've always thought it was actually unfair but granted the opportunity to unravel couldn't be ignored.
Yes it is unfair and yes it is a spectacle. That's why people shouldn't come away from this with any real analytical assessments of Jake as a boxer.
Plus Jake refuses drug tests. Look at his chin. Hes 100% on PEDS.

I think a lot of Tommy Fury fans can be motivated based on this fight. Paul was breathing real heavy by the 5th round, was throwing wild (thankfully for him one finally landed clean) and many times was wide open to be hit and Tyron never took advantage. A younger and faster opponent with a longer reach like Fury should really demolish Jake convincingly.
