If Tyron doesn't understand after re-watching the knockout, he doesn't understand boxing well enough to continue a career in it.

Tyron’s boxing skills were extremely linitied he literally can only fight from one side. I mean he is a wrestler not a standup fighter, and 40 years old is too old to develop boxing skills at this level

Jake had a hyper-extended elbow during his first fight and almost pulled out of the match. According to his coach, Jakes mobility was severely limited. If you go back and watch that fight you can tell something is off about Jake. Even after he wins, he had a blank stare and didn’t look present.
Which makes sense when you are in that much pain. With fight #2 he was in the best shape of his life and had also gotten substantially better after a year of training with some of the best coaches in boxing.
People can hate Jake all they want. But fact is, he has an incredible team of coaches and he has been dedicating his entire life to being in training camps. He is actually putting in the work and its paying off.
Also btw in fight 2 Paul was prepared to show off more range and skill. But Woodley used a strategy to rush Jake and tie him up in the clinch every few seconds. He was constantly grabbing Jake to wear down his cardio and energy.
So to those that found the fight boring, it was because Jake wasn’t being allowed to box. Tyron wanted to prevent Jake from outboxing him number wise and purposely kept him tied up.
Despite this, Jake still waited patiently and threw the perfect feint and over hand combo to knock him out in the sixth round.

In that time Rory and Lawler literally changed each other as humans, tyron picked up the loose change and played keep away against strikers in the most boring title run in history.
Ended out with floggings by the new era, quitting with a ‘rib’ injury, then getting slept by a RUclipsr in a fight he begged for. Tyron was never a champion.
I like how Woodley focuses on talking about the sport of combat and what actually happened. He has really good "fighting" talk about the nuances of what he did and didn't do. What worked and what didn't work. Very honest about what happens in combat.

Hearing Tyron assure his kids that he’s okay makes me feel really bad. I wasn’t happy to see Tyron flattened like that. I wanted a more exciting fight than what we got. It was a boring fight except for the lucky punch jake kept throwing over and over. Jake has power but his boxing skill is terrible…but let’s see how he does with some more experience with fighting an actual skilled opponent.

I'm not gonna lie. When most boxers get knocked out they lay on their backs. Tyron seem to, kind of, cuddle up to the mat. Real cozy like. Like truly asleep kind of. Like he was dreaming sweet dreams of better days. I found it quite endearing.
