you should have used pillars on the bottom floor to shoot through, and you could have dug deeper so you would have your real base underneath, and also you could have dug under the spikes and put half blocks so you could repair from underneath
Nice design. One improvement would be to dig out the area under the spikes and have them sitting on 1/4 blocks. then you could easily go underneath them and repair the spikes as needed without leaving yourself exposed. Might even be able to loot some of the zombies from down there too.
This is as far as the consoles ever got, so i like seeing what pc players and other console players come up with to survive. I love the videos btw xxx❤
could expand the cubicle base by at least one row all around so that the middle pillar becomes a mining shaft with a wall around. put a ladder on that wall, climb all the way up then into the mining shaft go underground and now you've got your tiny all in one base :)
Yeah, I had thought about that too, sadly it was after I had already laid all those steel blocks and did all that digging, so moving the layout was nigh impossible. lol. :)
this is exactly a design I use in dwarf fortress minus the roof, in DF the raised draw bridges form wall that you can walk along being the only difference. Nice design :)
Would be ineffective. By the time you could build it, your horde will be half cops and ferals. The cops will stand off and spit it to pieces, and the ferals will punch steel down in a couple hits. Another "Creative Mode Special" that would take too long to get to, leave you undefended while you're getting there, and then not deliver the goods.
I Disagree. Each steel block has a durability of 10k. They only spit at you when they see you, not at random walls, and the horde would have to get through all the spikes & log spikes to even start hitting the walls.
This is an older video now, but still relevant for console versions so that's good. As I watched this, I kept thinking it's a very secure design but how do you intended to loot the corpses? It doesn't look like you left any safe way to get down there to clean it out. (Unless I just missed it, which is possible).
Hey there! Awesome videos; could you make a video about the alpha 15 renewable plants? Couldn't find any useful info on mushrooms. I'm mainly interested in underground farming, mushrooms seem to have that potential. Thanks!
Hey there, Thank You! I hope it holds up rather well but I will have to test it. I don't know if the bees can get in or not. There is only a 1 block opening, so I guess it depends on how they are programmed, whether they can descend through a hole or not.
The blocks have a durability of 19,000.. Why didn't you put Iron Bars around the top to stand on to properly see in the pit? :f Also sideways spikes do not work. :f
Hello there. I don't understand or speak Russian, but I can use an online translator to help me out. Thank you very much :) (Я не понимаю или говорите по-русски, но я не могу использовать онлайн переводчик, чтобы помочь мне. Благодарим вас очень) Maybe that is correct.
Well zombies don't swim, but they don't drown either, so they would walk along the bottom and slowly beat the crap out of my base, making it very hard to kill them and then do repairs. So I technically do have a moat, it's just full of sharp instruments instead of water :)
Hope you are doing Fantastic!
Got another #7daystodie video for you today, showing off a Fortress Zombie Grinder I came up with. Hope you Like :)

This is a FANTASTIC design.
Ultra panic room
Thanks!!
Really like to see this in action.
Can do :)
Thank you.

That would be helpful for sure :)
Great build!
Thank You!
Awesome simple build for an insane outcome. Love it man! Liked and subbed
Thanks and welcome
that's my style right there !!!!! Capp00 we think the same way on that matter !!!!
This fortress is really cool. I've been playing 7DTD for a while on the ps4 and I never knew you could make drawbridges
Thanks!! They arent available on console yet, only experimental on pc as is :)
If you/he made some iron railings on the side and some way of repairing the spikes from under them, this base would be really good
That's amazing! You're a pro, Capp!! :O
=D Thanks Wendy!

If you extend the truss blocks two rows to the outside you can walk nicely on them an shoot zombies down below. Add rails and you cant fall down
In the follow-up video, where I test it, I did extend a walkway around it for ease of maintenance and stuff.

yvw, thx for the gr8 content.

gonna use some elemets of this on a Fortress im working on thats based of Dwarven Forts

Hello! Thank you and I appreciate the suggestion. I will put it on the list :)
Hey Capp, great build, looking forward to day seven. See how it holds up. Wondering about the bees, can they get in through the top? Great job.

lets hope they aren't the skinny type with big stingers . : ]
lol no kidding. Guess you could put a hatch on the top opening, keep them out that way.
are wood log spikes on walls really useful? i tried to put them on, but zombies just jumped on them
Definitely. Put more than 1 row and 1 block off the ground and they cant climb them as easily.
The blocks have a durability of 19,000.. Why didn't you put Iron Bars around the top to stand on to properly see in the pit? :f

The sideways spikes to work, I use them often. Also, watch the follow-up video, I did put iron bars around the top :)
Test sideways spikes yourself. Only the tips do damage, you can stand between them.
Привет. я русский , но мне нравятся твои видео несмотря на то , что плохо понимаю тебя =)

can you pls tell where is the exact location of that place in your video! thanks
hey would u play online. I play on grandma's secrets. it's a modded server but u still have to get resources for things
how big is it and how wide
how'd u do the hydrolic drawbridges
I did a full tutorial video on them :)
wow
can we use these doors on Xbox/PS4
i dont think they are available yet
man that sucks thanks for answering
Are does doors are available for ps4
No not yet
Capp00 when do you think they are coming for ps4
I have no idea. The development for console is way different than for PC. A lot of it is out of control of the fun pimps.
You need a moat
Well zombies don't swim, but they don't drown either, so they would walk along the bottom and slowly beat the crap out of my base, making it very hard to kill them and then do repairs. So I technically do have a moat, it's just full of sharp instruments instead of water :)
