Mining has always been huge part of the game and now its changed for the better.
No more mining for 1 hour and gathering so much ores that you are set for late game.

I have only just started the game and I'm finding all your guides usefull even if I'm on console and some of this stuff does not apply to me
+Michael Santangelo Some of the mechanics don't change all that much with updates and could still be used. Glad you found them usefull
This is where the PS4 version gets very confusing when you compare it to PC versions... See PS4 has the surface ore.. but no football field... It is like they mashed up stuff. Considering the game is still an "Alpha" yet it has physical copies sold... and that version was not even on par with the version released on PC at the same time... kinda seems odd..

Other then coal, just go to the desert and go Oil hunting. You will find everything else along the way 😂
Or do like the dwarfs 😉😎 and dig to bedrock in the desert and find ore pockets and dig up, you risk cave ins but if your smart its all good

The part where you say that iron is under the gray spots, but I have dug down to the bedrock twice now on gray spots and have not hit iron once
+Dale Hawley Dont dig straight down. Sometimes its randomly placed but still somewhere under the spot
+Dale Hawley Not sure if you noticed that there are alot of spotsclose to each other. Somewhere underneath that area is the iron, not necessarily under 1 spot.
I just know I dug straight down like your video said and didn't hit iron. Would it be near the bedrock like stated in your video earlier?
+Dale Hawley You were just unlucky, try again and this time go wider. It should be around 10 blocks deep and not rear bedrock even though you can randomly find some near bedrock.

I dont subscribe to this method. It's a little different in 7 as your extremely unlikely to miss by a single block. Just dig until you hit sand and hollow it out. This area will be far wider the 3 squares unlike Minecraft diamond. No need to do every 3rd row. Spead the shafts out a whole lot more then 3.
