    The problem with people who associate themselves with these kind of melancholic characters, they somehow don't associate themselves with the willpower, drive, and motivation these kind of characters have. Even Patrick Bateman is a highly successful person in the eye of society, and the protagonist in Fight Club is successful in making his own cult.
    Billions of people have melancholia, its a specifically popular trait in literature if you read all these classic lit the protagonist always have that trait. Only a smidgen will ever be a 'success'.

    CPTSD folks self-isolate, we struggle with the idea someone might actually want to spend time with us, even when there are people in our lives beating at our doors. They will just disappoint/abuse/abandon like that key person/people did. Isolation keeps us safe, but it does not make us happy.

    I don't mean to laugh at people going through some sort of mental pain or issues, but the whole "literally me" thing just makes me laugh because the irony and social commentary is lost sometimes. If a character has an overall and general lack of empathy and/or is deeply misanthropic and troubled, these kids go "OMG LIKE LITERALLY ME", it just makes me laugh.

      @@LeiramYT it's a weird thing, I can be doing well in most parts of life yet something is missing. Might have been my humanity, I want to feel human again. Haven't felt that way in years, just an endless grind

      @@jamesdeek7039 I‘m feeling you. But trust me, suicide isn’t the right way.
      Have you considered seeking help? Like a therapist? I go to therapy as well and it helps. At least for me.
      Stay here, okay? For all of us.

    • @rogueroman8913
      @rogueroman8913 Год назад

      @@jamesdeek7039yeah no don't go to therapy. Paying someone to listen to you is the lowest you can be, especially since their goal is to diagnose you with anything and everything they can, so you can get your prescription joy pills. If you're mentally unwell in another regard (resorting to violence etc, which you did not state but I'm mentioning just in case) you can't even mention these things to your therapist, because they can and will report it to the authorities, which can lead to you losing your right to own weapons, and will be rejected from many jobs due to being DEEMED "mentally unstable".
      Most people I've seen that go to therapy are women. And they claim this is because men simply "don't want to share their feelings". While that may be partially true, it isn't the only reason; women are more emotional and rely on people more than men do; this is a fact, not sexism. There are even women who will refuse to date men who don't go to therapy, regardless of how healthy they may be. A lot of women need to talk to others to stay sane, men do not; so they talk to "professionals". They feel better because they either just vent in therapy or get prescription drugs to alter their mind. Neither method is a way to live.
      All humans, male or female and regardless of race, suffer. We all suffer, sometimes from the same things, but always in different ways. If you feel better simply by venting, vent to anyone, whether it be a friend or some random person online. DO NOT PAY to vent to someone. If you can only feel better by taking joy pills, a harsh truth is better than a happy lie; I would rather suffer than drug myself to happiness, and you should feel the same.

    Me personally I relate to these types of character because i also do not feel like i cant show my emotions to the peoe around me and so im called weird for not having "fun" but i realized that although im not considered normal i have found happines in solitude i consider my own company the best company and considering the types of things people at my age normally do im glad im not normal . So what i might be called weird now but in a couple of years ill se success for learning and staying on my path of good and theyre gonna make me a sandwich at subway or sum shit IDK XD.
    What im trying to get at is you might feel alone but just know that if you never give up you can make it far might it be in love or in buisiness or in any other things that you feel pasionate about.
    Oh and btw ignore the spelling mistakes just know that my heart was in the right place while writing this❤.😅

      Then you have given up. The society is broken, it doesn't care about men, in fact it villifies them openly, but that doesn't mean the right call is to step away and trap yourself in your own company. The bonds we build with people are what keeps us afloat in the end. Delving into ressentiment and fooling yourself you don't need others is going to blow up in your face. Yes it's hard, yes it's terrible, yes it might take a ton of time, you should do it anyway.
