SkyTower at SeaWorld San Diego in San Diego, CA.
Opening for the 1969 season, SkyTower is a 320-foot tall gyro observation tower with a double-decker cabin. Passengers get a panoramic view of the park, Mission Bay, and the Pacific Ocean. This attraction was built by Japanese company Sansei Yusoki, now known as Sansei Technologies. NAPHA recognizes SeaWorld San Diego for continuing to operate SkyTower, an increasingly rare observation ride type and for what has become an icon for the park and surrounding area.
