Imagine working here, seeing 2 people rent out the place for an hour, and then not end up touching the actual karts themselves to play with toy cars instead.
It’s a shame this is limited to 4 players. Imagine if at Nintendo world they have a newer version of this with several different tracks and like 16 players. Definitely super cool.
Probably testing the waters to see if this gets some degree of popularity. If it does we may see a new console down the road capable of supporting a stronger signal across more players, with more features and such. Such tech could also be utilized for other AR games on said system.
People are seriously missing the part where I said at Nintendo World. Ylnow, as part of the theme park. Like actual race tracks and they provide the 16 racers.
@@Uglynerd Maybe not as expensive as a full size car, but for the cost of one of these things you can actually get an entry-level hobby grade RC model.
"Mario Kart Live Home Circuit has really given us the power to take Mario Kart wherever we want" Mario Kart 7, DS, and Super Circuit: Are we a joke to you?
Nintendo really should release some type of signal booster (aka a WiFi adapter with external antennas). It could just plug into the USB port or have a USB C with a USB A adapter so you can use it in docked and handheld. They could just call it the switch enhanced WiFi adapter, and you could also use it for gaming online with a better connection, so it wouldn't just be made for this
That was EPIC! Would love to see a bigger track done at some point with the Switch being in the middle and/or maybe have a signal booster for a great non-glitch race🙂
I remember playing with RC cars and imagining race tracks and if I really liked it I would draw out a race track map. And you and Nintendo made my dream come true.
It looks like that in Mario Kart Live, Mario gets banished straight into the Shadow Realm for half the course, and Luigi gets to win for free and celebrate like it's the Year of Luigi
From what I understand from VR portion, it used those "cards" to trigger the video effect/VR/AR. Therefore, the actual mario cart can be mounted on an actual larger RC vehicle....Don't know until you try it...
So people get a Mario kart game where they can create brand new tracks in real life and they recreate classic tracks. This makes you think, what's de point of this?
I feel like this could've been sorted pretty easily just by connecting a long HDMI cable to the switch. Let the karts connect from as close as possible, the pro controller should be fine at that distance. That way you wouldn't have to wedge your whole setup into the middle of the track, which would've been too awkward.
I didn’t think Nintendo expected a RUclipsr like you to make a Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit track out of an actual racetrack. Yet again, like you said, not everyone has a house built for miniature kart racing. I’m sure you can do something similar with a local fitness center.
Him: unless you have a banger of a house you’re probably not going to have the force base to even set up one of these things. My grandma house: is that a challenge?
As a former employee of a big chain of karting places(not k1) I have many thoughts about this. 1. This was a cool idea and some way to boost the wifi connection would really help. 2. That place has sodi electric karts! At least I think they are because of the steering wheel. Always wanted to try those. 3. Fuck those barriers lol. Ask your boy and he might explain why. And 4. This was for sure after hours. How many times did yall run the actual karts and with how many of the employees working that night?
I believe the best solution is to suspend the switches from the ceiling. That track is probably still WAY too large to actually utilize well though. I’m really hoping I can try something similar in a gym hall some day ^^

The fact that they let Swanky to do it is amazing to me
