better than my mom's bedtime stories, especially with the "eye contact" with the lens. Been reading these tales for years, but they're becoming real, and history. Thsnks
really enjoying these, just moved west to westmeath and it is really difficult to get some decent info on all of the ancient history that seems to be all around the landscape, the fields and the forest walks. I agree Loughcrew is amazing, and so far i have gleaned that the ancients like building on top of hills, and they always seem to be grouped. I was wondering about Fore Abbey, behind it, it looks like some sort of hill fort and along a woodland path leading away at the back of the monestary there seems to be i don't know would they be cairns or passage tombs. but they are covered in grass. So thank you for all of these wonderful videos.
I am so thrilled that I've found these videos of yours. Myself being of Irish decent, am very interested in everything I can find on Ireland. I have never had the fortune to visit there, but pray that sometime I can. What a beautiful, magical place it must be and you are so blessed to be there. I will watch for more of your postings ...you make things more clear for me to understand than what I have read in some of the books I have..which is a huge plus for me. God bless.
Here because of Michael Moorcock's Corum books. Looks like I need to read the Irish lore. Moorcock seems to have just paraphrased the stories. For example, Fomorians are Fhoi Myore in the novels.
+Iain Drennan Thomas Rolleston's Celtic Myths and Legends. Charles Squire's Mythology of the Celtic People. Cross and Slover's Ancient Irish Tales. The Oxford Encyclopedia of Celtic Mythology (James MacKillop). The Lore of Ireland by Daithi Ó hÓgáin.
Balor was possibly an early form of Titan Orpheus as an oracle head, was not his severed head placed in the fork of a hazel tree. Names such a Balintree etc, there are many Balintree's and variations of that name that are hazel groves.
There is also a story about King Bran's head.. He was killed in Ireland.. Since he was too big to carry across the Irish sea his head was cut off and carried back to Wales.. It lived on and conversed with his followers..
Balor was a god without question. For the ancient irish, the Fomhóraigh were literally gods of chaos. So Balor was most likely a God related to Pestilence, blight or the scorching heat of the sun.
One thing I can think of when you say a weapon made out of the brain's of the enemy; is that it could be a play on that they killed them with their own weapon, or a weapon that the enemy originally designed but, they copied, made their own version & used against them. Essentially the weapon was made from the brains of the enemy (designed). Not necessarily made from their actual brains. In antiquity they have strange ways to describe something simple. Essentially reverse engineering or appropriation.
+whats real No. Our passage-tombs are the equivalent of the pyramids. Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth are massive earthen and stone mounds which could be described as Ireland's pyramids.
...YES,,, there are pyramids everywhere in Ireland,,, especially in Kerry!!!! BUT,, not hidden,, just not seen!!!! There is also a Spinx 10 time bigger (probably 10 times older) than th Egyptian one!!! Remember,,, th egyptians came here,,, Scota etc., and they brought our knowledge back to Egypt with them.
Has he not listened or read Michael Tsarion's work? Listen to him on youtube. He should. He has the same interests about ancient Ireland, as this guy and above and beyond, too. He has a book and an hours long video documentary about " Irish origins of civilization."Sometimes, people can bejealous of Tsarion's obvious perceptual ability and his very well articulated explanations. He should have come across Tsrion's stuff, if he's interested in this. Its a bit suspicious that he never found Michael's stuff and never commented on it. If he has looked into these subjects, its likely he would have come across his work.
....Tsarion doesn't really mix well with others. So,,, his mind is very fixed on what he "knows" is right,,, although he is misinformed/wrong about a lot of things!!! Yes,,, some of th time he is right,,, but his thinking is far too rigid and so he is missing so much of th bigger picture!!!! And if i may,,, using words like "jealous" is counterproductive to debate!!! Personally I haven't met Michael yet,, although i tried to contact him,,, but he does come across as a bit of an asshole!!!
The fomorians The people of kesair The children of nemed The iberians The tuatha de danann The children of mil It is important for us to analyze this order and fathom what the monks who archived irelands myths were attempting to obscure. For let us not doubt there has been considerable obscuration from christian sources when it comes to Ireland's prehistory. What has written and codified is not as important as what HAS not been written and admitted. And the omissions, once rediscovered and understood, change everything we know about the history of ireland and the world. The monks busy editing irelands history were not interested in having their readers find out about the advanced prediluvian civilizations that existed long before the time posited for the creation as described in the old Testament, they were bound to present ireland as an unpopulated country frequented by demonic titans who preferred to live on remote islands and high seas Pick up a book on michael tsarion and the irish origins of civilization
Superb series of videos. Great to hear the stories and see the sights. I always believed that Ireland had a mysterious history and just as ancient as other nations and just as rich. Could we be the descendants of Atlantis?
@ Alessandro Torres - tuatha de dannan literally means Tribe of Danu .....If you say that these were literal historical events than that means that this could be another example of a Ancient Aliens theory and story. there are many gaps in the story though in 467 BC the Lir group of Danu spend the next 900 years waiting for Saint Patrick to break the curse of Lirs second wife in 433 AD. the Tribe of Danu first get mentioned about 1477 BC though. i think that the Tribe of the Danu were the Titans of of the god Saturn that fled Greece and went to Ireland to become the Tribe of Danu. i also think that the Tribe of Danu could have been the Annunaki of Sumeria or even the Nephilim of Israel. the thing is the Tribe of Danu fought the Nephilim, in the bible in genesis it says "there were giants in those day" and it says this before it even gets to story's about Adam or Eve.... i think that The Formosan that were fought off were the Igigi of sumerian legen which came before the Anunaki. they were the Neanderthal and other kinds of giants that were around before the Adam and eve days. Necropolis. i think that Ireland could have just as well been another place that the Fallen angels of Satin were cast out too. as well as Nibiru and elsewhere in the heavens such as the Pleiades. Around 1477 BC was when the People of Isreal and Phoenicia were exploring collectively they were called the sea peoples . Acording to tablets found here in mounds in Ohio the language used on the tablets was identical with both Isreal and Phoenicia ... If the fallen angels Nephilim leaving Isreal made it as far as Ohio then eventually once they were in America they blended in and left no trace of themselves except written on the mound tablets. I think that the Nephilim once they reached america was killed off by one of the Igigi known as the Big Foot and it destroyed them. but for whatever reason the Tribe of the Danu did the opposite in Ireland instead of being destroyed by the Igigi they crushed them and civilization thrived but in America the Danu just got Owned by the Fomorians here in America. Necropolis the stock market Oracle of Ohio.
Short but very good information. Brain ball! Yuck! I’ve missed many episodes but of those I’ve heard this is the first time I remember hearing about this ball. Lou of the long throw seems an accurate name considering his weapon of choice. 🤑🤮
I would read these stories with more trust, just like our newspaper, Tantlum could have been a bomb, the recipe is too detailed for it to be a moon or smth: if to read The Anarchist Cookbook you will see how much explosives you can make from simple daily ingredients, then there's this coke/mentos bomb etc
Uhm, I am a descendent of the Fomorians, we are not all evil. Also we are not a myth we are legendary though. Ha, few people remember it was the Irish which formed the English language as they were translating it from Fomorian Latin aka Moorish Latin.
...man,,, Balor (dance of gold) is one of th names of Newgrange,,, and th stone u talk about is Kerbstone 52!!! Lugh is a comet,,, formorians is,, th majority.
How could this already have a dislike?? How rude. I appreciate these stories so much! They are so important!
+At Ikiro I'm thinking someone clicked it accidentally? Either that or I have a troll ! ;)
+At Ikiro I love these stories too! What a neat guy .... I'd love to hear you tell full Irish tales, or read them .... You have a wonderful voice.
A Formorian troll prehaps ;-)
Talons of the Raven haha, well played
A very thought provoking interpretation indeed, thank you, I will muse on it muchly.

+Margaret Raymond Ah that's wonderful Margaret. I must keep making these videos!
I agree, great story telling skills, you must do more of these Anthony as they are extremely captivating!
You know that's very encouraging. Thank you. I must make more!

Anthony, thanks for all your hard work and really, your passion for prehistoric Ireland. I love it and wish to pilgrimage there someday.
You are the king of Irish history.
Here because of Michael Moorcock's Corum books.

great video😀,would you recommend any books for learning more about the tuatha dé danann?

What about the Fir Bolg who were enslaved in ancient Greece?
They're are the Fomhóraigh combined with Gods. One of their kings is Eochaid Mac Eirc which is another name for the god Dagda.
Balor was possibly an early form of Titan Orpheus as an oracle head, was not his severed head placed in the fork of a hazel tree. Names such a Balintree etc, there are many Balintree's and variations of that name that are hazel groves.

Essentially reverse engineering or appropriation.
...also The Tathlum; a stoney / limey ish looking ball sounds a lot like the main component of a certain weapon.
Yet again, another strange Fomorian-Avenger synchronicity in Thanos throwing Titan's moon at Tony Stark.
The original poem is describing something like alchemy.
Do u think they are pyramids hidden here in Ireland buried out of sight ?

Why so man wars in a country that has such beautiful lore?
Superb series of videos. Great to hear the stories and see the sights. I always believed that Ireland had a mysterious history and just as ancient as other nations and just as rich.

The myths of tuatha de dannan are literal, historical events. Not allegory.

Does Balor's eye I wonder have any equivalence with the Third Eye, still much maligned and misunderstood by Western consciousness?

The Fomhóraigh obviously are not evil. That's something we know.
Is it a coincidence that the Balearic Islands use slings to this day? How about the Tuirean sea in Italy and the tragedy of the sons of Tuirean?
