iLok ???!!! I had to go to this video to find out how to access the "included" sound library ... seems there is yet another level of complication to do that! Not sure why it needs to be this convoluted!

iLok is a complete PITA when you have a computer breakdown and you have to reinstall all your plugins. on another machine. It's taking me days to get new activations/authorizations from the different software companies that use iLok. Really frustrating!!!#%& There has to be a better way..... :(

Is the Moto instruments a free product? Do I have to purchase a paid product at moto in order to get this?So far I haven't been able to get a license for iLok.
Hey folk over at Motu! Your products are incredible! Your audio interfaces are great and hold amazing value! I do have to ask though, why not release an interface with an XLR input separate from a line level input? Maybe even one single combo jack like the folks over at Rode do it! Focusrite does great marketing showing off their Scarlett Solo as "the best budget interface" for people voice actors (as a budding voice actor I would buy it, and use it for such) and sing-song writers who only truly need the one mic pre and one line level input that're separate. Also, I have noticed with your products that the combo jack connectors on both the Motu M2 and Motu M4 are a bit too wobbly for my taste. Maybe improve on this issue with the "Motu M1." Essentially keep your amazing headphone pre and craft a device with one input for a mic and another (if you're going to put one XLR input and one line level input and not a combo jack) for an instrument like the guitar. I don't know, but it's just a suggestion and it could really boost your sales. Much love. Keep up the good work Motu.

There are some steps and explanations which would be helpful to add, such as using the name of the sound file, "MOTU instruments," when instructing to "move the file" to the UVI location. Someone might thing you mean to move the zip file to that location if they are literal thinkers. Things like that. Also, I read the UVI manual last night and it is awful. Poorly written, likely by a non-English speaking technician whose explanations presume the user has previous knowledge of some technical issues. I think this manual reflects poorly on MOTU. You should have them revise it ASAP. AlI that said, I am excited to use DP10 as soon as all the installations are done. Thanks.

Can these be installed/used in other DAWs? I don't use the two DAWs mentioned.
At the moment, it's only available with the DP10 purchase, although it can operate outside of DP.
Any news if the Mach5 or other Motu virtual instruments would be updated? Had been many years. Regards.
