I've recently bought both and drank each one to compare them multiple times and I've come to the decision that pepsi is better. At least in my country. Idk if they make it different in the US. Pepsi just tastes better overall. Coke feels kinda weak and too sweet in comparison.
I prefer Pepsi, also . . . but I think it's just a matter of taste. It's kind of like Mustang vs Camaro. You prefer one to the other. You just do. Personally, I have owned three Mustangs . . . I always have a Mustang of one stripe or another (currently, a Gen 5 Shelby GT500). I love it, but I have to admit that Chevy has done a pretty damned good job competing with the latest generation of Camaro. I don't like their styling much, but . . . there again . . . it's a matter of personal taste. Plus, I think, at some point we attach mystical things to each brand. It may be that the Coke can looks nicer, or your older brother always liked Pepsi (or MAYBE he liked Coke, and so you're a Pepsi fan, who knows?) I think most of our preferences are hidden even from ourselves.

Alfred, you'd love my "old" 2012 GT500. I bought it new in 2011, so it's now 10 years old! I treat it with TLC. It's Kona Blue, with the fat white racing stripes. I've added louvres over the rear window, and the rear quarter windows. That's it. There have been more powerful Shelby GTs since, but I've decided my 550 hp Stang has the right stuff, so I've not added performance stuff, except replacement drilled rotor discs all around. The only thing I wish it had is IRS, like my 2003 supercharged cobra did, and like the newer (2015 and on) Mustangs do. When the weather cools off in late October/early November, I roll the windows down and listen to the music of the 5.4 litre V8. It's SO sweet. When I park it, half the time I have young guys drooling over it, and old guys dreaming about Mustang nostalgia. In my mind, my 2012 Shelby GT500 is the essence of Mustang, one of the best ever. Better, really, than the new GT500, in that, if I'm careful, I can achieve 28 mpg on the highway. OK, I normally don't get near that number, but it's possible. Plus, the damn thing is SO good-looking!

Same. Coke is good out of a fountain. Pepsi is way better out of a sealed container than Coke is.
Round 1 is a tie, cokes glass bottles has had all those flavors for a while now
I'm Team Coke, but I have to give Round 1 to Pepsi. Coke does have all those flavors, but they usually make them regular Coke or Diet Coke exclusive never really both at the same time. Also, they make a lot of flavors country exclusive. Raspberry Coke has been around for years to decades in other countries. U.S. finally got it in like 2017. As for Pepsi though, they usually (not always/all the time) have a regular and Diet version of it Day 1. But I have to give Round 1 to Pepsi for just Mountain Dew alone. There is TONS of Dew flavors to choose from. Some better than others (in my opinion), but there is a ton of them. So they got Round 1 correct by giving it to Pepsi. And as I said, I'm Team Coke.

@@projectpat8807 Issue with this is dew is a separate drink. If we want to talk about variety from the entire company, coke would win from sheer volume of product alone. Pepsi can not compete on that level.

Guys I come from a strict coca cola family and recently I started drinking pepsi, my goodness it is refreshing and deliciously paired better with pizza! I am addicted to the wild cherry 🍒 flavor! Wow! I need to try pepsi in a glass bottle, I know coke tastes better imo with a glass bottle that uses cane sugar instead but it's been a while. Anyone else been through this phase? 😯🤨

Weird phenomenon! I almost always hate Pepsi compared to Coca Cola but when I have a good slice of greasy pizza it’s always paired better with Pepsi for whatever reason! lol
couldnt make it past 2 minutes, You say pepsi has more variety, but you forgot Coke Orange Vanilla, the 4 or 5 different flavores of diet coke, Coke Black, Coke Plus, and many more. Not saying pepsi did or didnt win, its just not accurate enough to be worth watching.

Coke goes better with burgers, but Pepsi is perfect for pizza.
Dr. Pepper and pizza goes beautifully too, and burgers actually. I think it's that sweet middle if we're talking about those specific foods imo.
I just go with whatever is on sale. I am a Coke person but if Pepsi is on sale I'll buy it. Also, I'll just drink whatever the restaurant I'm at has. I'm not picky. I think Coke goes good with Mexican food. Coke goes good with pizza too. But Pepsi is pretty good with pizza. Actually, Coke and Pepsi go good with pretty much everything. That's why I consider Coke and Pepsi my default flavors. I haven't really found something they don't go with. Well, except candy and cake and anything else that is sweet. I think Mello Yello goes good with sandwiches though. Sprite is also good with burgers. I even find that Root Beer and pretzels are a good combo. But overall Coke and Pepsi go good with pretty much anything and everything that isn't sweet. I do know that Mountain Dew and Mello Yello do not go good with peanut butter. I get this saw dust taste and texture in my mouth when I mix Dew and/or Mello Yello with anything that has peanut butter. Mainly any sandwiches with peanut butter.
Pizza & Orange Crush for me (Pepsi Product)... but between Pepsi & CocaCola, I prefer a good old ice-cold Coke.

No, not really. I get the opposite. I went through a Pepsi phase when I was a kid (I'm Team Coke now), but if I asked for Pepsi, the waiter/waitress would be like "is Coke okay?" or "oh, we only have Coke products, so you want Coke then?" That's how I saw that "is Pepsi ok?" thing. Plus some restaurants don't do a good job at advertising which products they have, so the customers have a 50/50 guess and just say what their preference is and then go from there. And even though I'm a Coke person, I won't flip out if all the restaurant has is Pepsi. I'll drink it and accept it. Plus my movie theater only has Pepsi products, so that helps me accept Pepsi at restaurants if they don't have Coke. It's not a big deal and I won't flip out about it. It's just a flavor of pop/soda. And I don't have that many food allergies either, so it's not like I'm allergic to Pepsi products.

Their marketing here is kinda ridiculous: Something like 1 in 9 ads I've seen was people dancing to coke.
But nowadays, I have the opinion that people are starting and trying to be more health-conscious by drinking flavoured ice tea or the boba milk pearl tea thing.

The reason Pepsi is so popular in Quebec is because they were one of the first multi-national companies to cater their advertising to the Quebec market by hiring local celebrities, making jokes about local culture, etc. rather than just translating their Canadian ads, which didn't connect very well with the population in Quebec. Treating Quebec as a separate market than the rest of Canada has worked extremely well for Pepsi, and it's led to a lot of companies adopting the same model.

@@Nexus2126 high fructose corn syrup its very bad for you worse than sugar they both contain high amount of sugar which damages your teeth and body. While one every once in a while isn't too bad most people on average drink more than they should.

The idea that Pepsi and Coca Cola taste the same is BS.
Coke has a much more intense flavor and has a slight burn going down, while Pepsi is smoother, but has a less intense flavor.
(Bias is at work here possibly seeing as I prefer Coke over Pepsi any day of the week)
