- You know we love a good built versus bought matchup and this one does NOT disappoint! Daryl and his buddies built his Nissan Hardbody pickup on a slim budget using whatever they had laying around, and the result is a serious party machine. In the other corner is Jason's badass Cadillac CTS-V sporting an enormous supercharger and some meat out back.

Mad respect to the Nissan driver. Knew he jumped, so he stopped. Then on the redo, he gave the Caddy the hit (who still had like a 2second reaction time). Solid man!

@@basedemt6608 He was upset that his car wasn't working like he thought it should. He was also super pissed that I jumped on him. Which is why I gave him the go on the last pass. There is so much that happens off camera and I cant really go into detail as I see him regularly at events now weirdly enough.

The hardbody was very polite on the redo of the 2nd run.
That Nissan builder/owner/driver definitely showed his experience. I loved the ingenuity that went into making that beast hook up. Great episode! I always love seeing a budget build whoop a much more expensive vehicle.
Love how the Nissan jumped, so the second time he waited for the CTS to go to prove he could smack him down lol
Too bad the Cadillac grenaded his stock transmission. Those transmissions are only rated for 750hp, yet he was over 400whp higher

what nobody is talking about is how the cts tecnically jumped in the first race. he broke rear tires and started spinning and move forward a bit.

I binged all the Lia Block's Hoonicorn episodes, and I hope she really follows in her dad's Footsteps. Ken did a fantastic job giving her a chance most us girls never got, so it's exciting to see the career she's gonna have for all of us ladies to watch.

I took 2 weeks off of life when my little brother passed away in 2021. When I can back to work I had a drive that I never did before. My brothers life was cut short, so I was going to make sure to live everyday for him. I think about him everyday and his memories keep me going, even on the worst days. You guys will only continue to make Ken proud. I’m really glad you are all back.
Would be cool to have a little competion. Drag race with a specific budget. I would love to see how fast you can go for 10K.

Like probably everyone else here, Kens videos/Hoonigan really inspired me to get into drifting. I bought a hardbody to convert it to a drift truck, so seeing yalls first video back featuring a hardbody kind of brings it full circle for me.
Since the ending seemed very cut. Im guessing the caddy guy had an attitude, guy seemed kinda off for the episode. Cant imagine if the reaction was positive yall wouldnt have chopped it

I'm guessing the CTSV guy was a bad sport or had a little tantrum since he didn't make the end of the video... oh well.
Writing that reminded me of seeing Ken at his "worst" and he was still a good sport always. I saw him shortly after his DNF at NEFR in '21 and he just gave a shrug and a "That's rally" and even right after losing 1st place at NEFR in '22 due to dust... he was mad, he expressed his anger and frustration in a calm manner, then made sure to give props to Brandon for driving a hell of a rally. Always a professional even when down. RIP #43

I hope all you guys are ok (Hoonigan team, Ken's family and all the fans) this has been a super tough time for us all and I don't think anyone will get over it for a while. This is one of the biggest (if not the biggest for me personally) losses in the motorsport world (and the world in general) in many, many years.
RIP Ken, you have inspired me and hundreds of millions of others - and will continue to inspire for as long as the internet is around. One day I hope to get a wrx and start autocrossing/rallying it in your honour.
Rest easy brother, you will be missed.
