  • Using the Autel TS508K I will show you how to do the relearn process on this Ford truck. Also using the Autel MX sensor I will perform a sensor Auto Create and a Batch create of multiple sensor. With the TS508 you can also relearn Placard pressure. I will reset the tire PSI settings to the customers desired setting.

    Great video👍I just purchased the 906TS and 4 dual band sensors. I'm going to try this myself. Is the process the same as this video? Autel doesn't make it easy to understand things in there manuals. Thanks

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks SKO, the process with the MS906 TS is going to have the same feel it will just be easier to navigate. The manuals are always going to be veg because the software has been enhanced so much since the release of the tool that the manuals can't keep up. On the MS906TS after you scan all of the sensors you can select program on the top tap. At the bottom of the screen you will have multiple options for programming sensors. "Auto Create 1-16 would be the same function I used in this video.

    I have the ts508wf and don't see the tire type pressure selection or read tire pressure on placard or write tire pressure on placard, how can I make this selection to show on my autel ts508wf? Also program all tpms and show on tools all is okay, but on my car dashboard tpms saying unavailable tpms why?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  Год назад

      Not all vehicles offer the ability to change the Tire pressure, this could be the case on yours. As far as the TPMS light still being on, check the drivers door jam for what the TPMS pressure is supposed to be, The pressure in the tires should be 5% of what is on the door. If the door pressure and the tire pressure don't match it will error and turn the light on. Some vehicles have different pressure in the rear vs front. Last option would be to contact Autel support. They have a TPMS team to answer these questions.

    • @FlashPerformance

      Some of the process can be done by putting it into programming mode and deflating as you mentioned. Not only does having the tool make the process much faster, but it also gives me the ability to modify the tire pressure Placard spec for the vehicle. Also I can see battery life as well. There are many vehicles that you can not do the deflation process to program.

    • @FlashPerformance

    I have a 2016 Kia Optima. One of the TPMS sensors went bad but I decided to just go ahead and replace all 4 sensors. Before I replaced the sensors there were DTCs in the TPMS module saying all 4 were incorrect frequency. I have came to the conclusion that the previous owner put hybrid wheels on the car and the car is not hybrid. I have this machine. How do I program the new sensors but make sure they get the non-hybrid frequency?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  2 года назад

      On the Kia Optima, they only use one frequency sensor, 433. This means it doesn't matter if they are hybrid wheels or hybrid sensors. As long as the sensors are transmitting in 433 you should be able to program them to your vehicle. You would need a tool like the TS508 or better on this Kia, you will scan all the sensors and write the sensor IDs to the vehicle just like I did in this video. Over all you should not need to change out the sensors, just relearn them to the vehicle.

    • @cameronjacobs9697
      @cameronjacobs9697 2 года назад

      @@FlashPerformance the TS508 showed that they have different frequencies. My sensors were reading 315 and my car needed 433. I replaced them and it’s fixed now. Lol, so glad to have figured out that heifer.

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  Год назад +1

      Duplicate ID means 2 of the sensors have the same ID number, you will need to figure out which ones and why. Most of the time this is user error, but sometimes it is because a sensor was cloned twice and the sensor match. If the sensor ID matches, the vehicle can not tell which sensor is where.

    Thank you for extensive answer. Greatly appreciated. I'm looking for Autel scanner to purchase based on reviews and things it can do. I'm looking at Autel MaxiCOM MK808 which is priced at $420 on Amazon. My question is: can that scanner get tpms numbers from ECU and program new Autel sensors? I see it has some key programming mode. Can it program new key fob for 2003 bmw 325i? I'm sure that scanner can do a lot more, like read fault codes, clear them, etc. Please let me know if that scanner will be good choice for a guy with some mechanical skills working on his own cars? Thank you.

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  6 лет назад

      The MK808 can read the TPM Sensor IDs from the PCM it can also wright the sensor IDs to the PCM However you will still have to have a separate tool to scan the sensors to get that ID. If you are looking to also do TPMS I would recommend the MK808TS that has all the same functions as the MK808 plus tire service. Not exactly, the S500 has an Auto relearn function and will not accept the same process. Here is how to relearn your s500: (from www.maxitpms.com)
      Relearn New Sensor IDs.
      Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on the tire placard. Vehicle must be driven for at least 10 minutes, while maintaining speed above 15 mph in order for system to learn new sensor Ids. If spare tire sensor Id is being programmed, a properly formatted TPMS tool is necessary.
      NOTE: The drive speed should be controlled between 16 mph (25km/h) and 64mph (100km/h) .
      RESET Tire Pressure:
      1. Inflate all tires to the pressure indicated on tire placard.
      2. Turn ignition to ON position (engine off) .
      3. Press 'forward/back' button on steering wheel until trip and odometer are displayed.
      4. Press 'UP/DOWN' button until tire inflation pressure monitor is displayed.
      5. Hold down reset button (located on instrument cluster) until 'MONITOR CURRENT TIRE PRESSURE?' Is displayed.
      6. Press '+' button 'TIRE PRESS, MONITOR ACTIVATED-PRESS. DISPLAY AFTER DRIVING A FEW MINS. ' Is displayed.
      7. If 'REATIVE-TIRE PRESS. MONITOR!' Appears, repeat relearn procedure.
      8. If 'TIRE PRESSURE-CHECK TIRES!' Appears, indicates tire pressure too low, adjust pressures accordingly

    Great video and explanations / how-to's! I just picked up a TS508 yesterday and have a 2005 Cadillac Escalade ESV that has a couple of newly installed VDO SE10003A Redi-Sensors that this tool won't read and the vehicle isn't recognizing when also trying the e-brake / key-cycle position relearn procedure. I picked the VDO Redi-Sensors and the TS508 from all of the good reviews I'd read, but wonder if I'm doing something wrong? VDO tech support says that the SE10003A 'sometimes' need to be unlocked before they can be recognized by a vehicle which is opposite of what I'd read from VDO official and others online. Especially if they were installed and ran down the road first, before being coded into the vehicle... Any input would be much appreciated! *Extra question: On your video you programmed the extra (uninstalled) MX sensors on the ground. Can you go back and 're-cycle' these for another application at a later date, or are they burned in to that vehicle setting for good? Thanks in advance!!

I'd be curious to know if they'd work if I activated them prior to installing them into the wheels, but didn't feel like spending the $$ to satisfy my curiosity. *But it seems like the TS508 should've seen them regardless of what mode they locked into... but who really knows for sure? Ended up just installing the Autel MX sensors after programming and they've worked great since. Sent the VDOs back to Amazon.

    Awesome video. Straight to the point. I also had a question maybe you could answer. Does the mk808 or mk808ts do all the same things as the ts508 as far as tpms goes? Also is there a cheaper autel than the mk808 that can do all the same things this ts508 can? Thanks!

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  5 лет назад

      The TS608, MK808TS, and Ms906TS all have the same TPMS functions as the TS508. The MK808 and MX808 can not read TPMS sensors.

    Great video. Were you able to program the MX sensor while installed or does the tire need to be deflated, etc?

      It can be programmed installed in the tire, but it does need to be aired down to program. I have forgotten to program them before. Just remove the valve stem, air down the tire, and program.

    Does the Autel maxisys 906 tsx have the same ability as this maxitpms ts608?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  7 лет назад

      When it comes to TPMS yes, Both tools have the same software for TPMS. The diagnostics is different on the tools. The TS608 has limited diagnostics (read and clear codes in all modules, live data, and graphing) where the MS906TS has full diagnostics with bi-directional controls and coding.

      No, All of the Autel tools can do relearns on any information ready sensor, like: VDO, John Dow, Ori-TEc, Dorman, and OE. They can also do cloning and programming for Autel MX-Sensors. Here is a video I did on sensor relearns and programming with an Autel tool. ruclips.net/video/vwMxHx8WoYw/видео.html

    Hey what's up brother. This video helped me out alot. We have this same tool at the shop. I never had issues programming the sensors with no comebacks because I always did copy by activation and customers were happy but everybody else in the shop always has problems and the light is flashing or stays on especially on nissan and a Honda element. The Honda element has a code for sensor 2 loss of signal. Which is the sensor 2 but more likely it's the same sensor these guys tried to program but wrong. What can I do with that? I guess do toms diagnose and see what it says right? Question though. If i do copy by obd 2 can I do it with the sensor already Installed on the tire or do I have to take it off and have it by the tool and off the wheel. And is there like a chart u guys have of different issues I may see that these guys fail to do right the first time and it getting dumped on me. Thank u my friend God bless

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  6 лет назад

      Doing Copy by OBD, In my opinion, is always going to get you the best results. Since you are taking the IDs the vehicle is already looking for and creating the MX-sensor to produce that same ID it solves a lot of issues. You can program the MS sensors in the tire but you have to have them totally deflated. If they have pressure in them they will not take.

    Awesome info. I downloaded the manual, but there is nothing like a live demo. Answered all my questions. After reviewing the 401, 501 and 601, the 501 seems right, but the extra $100.00 for the 601 gives me the extra ability of having a general purpose OBD2 code scan reader. Do you think the 601 is worth $300.00 or should I get the $200.00 501 and spend the extra $$$ on a separate OBD2 code scanner. Thanks for the help and great video.
