Wouldn’t just using two bicycle wheel hubs have been more efficient?

I sat through this torture imagining that he is going to make something interesting. Heck, he does a sander. Why would someone need an armature for that?

While I admire your industrial arts skills, I can't believe you threw away most of a working motor to make a pulley bracket out of it. It reminds me of nuclear energy - the most expensive way imaginable to boil water. Of course, you could have figured a way to do it with Legos and an old tin can. That would have been more economical.

Can you make a High Speed Hand dryer using a Vacuum cleaner motor, Metal cover, Heating element, and a Sensor? that would be loud and cool

😏😏... judging from that giant ass industrial metal lathe you have... something tells me you didn't NEED to build a belt sander....can anyone say..."look at me, I have a shit load of tools and time on my hands and I'm bored outta my mind"..😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

These can be found pretty fuckin cheap my man, that "industrial metal lathe" is a pretty antiquated piece of hardware that's probably been given a hot dinner for years and years. These things are built to last for general use but in industrial settings they are stuck abiding by tolerances a home-shop probably wouldn't even notice. Once they reach that point business tend to sell em off, you can get them at hardware auctions for dirt money.
Used engine lathes like the one he's got with a small bed can be bought generally under 2k, if you even mildly make cash on the side for a hobby being able to turn metal will pay for it in no time.

Wonder if a vacuum motor is strong enough to put on a bike to make your regular bike into a E-bike

I’m wondering the same thing, I pulled a 1900w motor out of an old vacuum cleaner and my plan is to use it on a go kart, my only concern is torque, since I’m sure it spins fast enough, but I might be able to use a gearbox to make up for the lack of torque, if any.

I brought a new vacuum cleaner but I found it’s too loud. It is 850W. My old one is 400W but it’s adequate for me. Is that possible to change to a less powerful engine or anything to reduce the noise?

  • @marvinhanson6942

Why not just use another bike sprocket with the axle still on it instead of the vacuum motor? It would be a lot easier to make l would think.

Hi, thanks for your excellent video!
I want to ask one problem I am facing with my vacuum cleaner (model: Eureka Forbes Trendy Steel Vacuum Cleaner). One day the zip of the dust bag was open and I used the vacuum cleaner in a dusty area and I immediately smelled something wrong. So, I switched off the machine immediately. Then after some days in opened and cleaned the motor of the vacuum cleaner and cleaned all dust and debris. There was no smell of coil getting burnt. I dropped few drops of machine oil on both the bearings. After starting, I could see lots of sparks near the bushes and different smell coming from the machine.
Kindly, suggest the probable problem and its solution.

Crazy, the guy must have had a belt sander already coz he had the belt. What? He went out and bought it? A grinding wheel might have been better, longer lasting & easier to build (sanding attachment for drill available in shops.)

Just buy a belt sander....what is wrong with you! Or better yet...use 10'000 rom vacuum cleaner motor...mount a 10 inch circular saw blade. And handle to it and have a hedge trimmer...
About 20 yrs ago in the town just 4 miles from me did it...worked great...till it snapped blade in 2
    And disembowel him.....that sucked
