If you are trying to get 4000 hours of watch time in 2025 then stop watching these videos and get to posting that content! This is my second channel I am near monetization on (First one is my main source of income) and I will admit, I watched a lot of Roberto Blake when I started out but the biggest mistake I made was spent TOO much time watching RUclips and not putting in the work otherwise I would have had results sooner. Thank you for all the work you do Roberto, now for everyone...Get to work and best of luck this year!
I agree with getting to work. People DO spend too much time watching this sort of content or content in general and not executing.
But also I think too much time over thinking and over editing.
And not the right amount of time on packaging titles and thumbnails, or quaking their topics for the audience they want to attract.
These videos can help, but they aren’t a substitute for the work.
But they definitely are for the people who also have been doing the work on the wrong things and not getting anywhere too. 🙏🏾

Searched everywhere on RUclips but it's hard to find info on anything other than content focused on the "0 to 1000 subscribers" strategy. If you have one can you point me in the right direction? Consider how you might improve. Focus much more on packaging and if the old inventory is still getting views… improve on its thumbnails.

Brother, I’m not here to step on your toes, but I’ve been on RUclips for many years, and while what you’re saying sounds great in theory, it doesn’t work like that in practice. To get monetized on RUclips and hit the 4,000 watch hours, you need to go live consistently for 30 to 45 days. How do I know? Because I’ve done it, and it worked.
Simply dropping videos won’t be enough, especially if you’re just starting out or don’t already have a strong audience base. And respectfully, not everyone will watch your videos, especially longer ones. For example, I’m a chef, and I know people won’t sit through a 30-minute video-most will drop off before it ends.
The most effective way to build those watch hours is by going live. Live streams keep people engaged for longer periods and boost your watch time significantly. Everything else you’re saying might sound nice, but it’s not the reality for most creators. I’m not trying to be rude, just honest, because I’ve been on RUclips for seven years. Once I committed to going live for 40 days straight, I finally got monetized.

That's crazy, I have 20 vids and nowhere near that.

@@RobertoBlake I appreciated the estimation about how long to aim for in terms of video length to keep a balanced average view duration to gain the hours over time. Also, the point you made about not exerting way too much effort until monetization (because I wouldn't get paid) gave me a new perspective, not to be too hard on myself in terms of perfectionism, but rather do my best to produce more videos (of good quality but they don't have to be over-the-top, at the moment).

We started doing daily vertical livestreams at the same time every day, every morning, whether we felt like it or not. We are getting an average of 35 hours of watch time per day and will reach that goal of 4,000 in less than a month. It was a slog to begin with but we made the Livestream a habit and it would feel weird not to do it.

In my own journey with my main channel, it was easier to get the watch hours than the subscribers. There is a lot of great advice and suggestions given the fact that I have a second super-niche channel that needs all the help it can to get the 4,000 hours. I like that you are going against the grain. I've noticed a group-think pattern among some folks but you are definitely carving a niche of your own which I appreciate.

Best advice for me is the vertical lives. The watch time hours are racking up.

@ I started doing it in October. Met a lot of new viewers and subscribers to the channel and now I have a few regular viewers that come for every live stream. If several people watching and you’re there for two hours those watch time hours add up. Give it a shot it may work for you.
