What a great find!! That is soooo pretty!! I can picture a dozen different places where it would look perfect! I live in a cabin with knotty pine walls in every room…ceilings too, and they are low. As pretty as that can be it’s just so darn dark 😣 So you are giving me the ideas that I need to break it up and also lighten the rooms!
The piece turned out very well. I like your delivery, it is calming. In another video I watched the woman had this nervous laugh and laughed at everything she said (none of it funny).
Definitely thoroughly inspect anything you find or get second hand before bringing it into your home. Check use a light to check for bedbugs in everything. I suggest to clean furniture outside with a degreaser and if you have a steam cleaner use it. Heat kills the critters on contact. Keep clothes and pillows in a bag separate from everything until you have washed/dried them in hot water/high heat. I soak mine in white vinegar and lavender oil with the detergent/fabric softener. You might think it’s overkill but these things are hard to get rid of but you can do it.
Thank you! I installed this floor myself for my work room. I usually use a drop cloth but sometimes I fly by the seat of pants and just go for it. Water based products are pretty easy to clean with some soap and water.
You should try a Black & Decker cordless hand sander. The batteries are cheaper and last longer. I've had one for a couple of years and love it. I was not happy with the Ryobi and the batteries are to expensive.
Great question. I think that waiting the two hours ensures for enough curing time between coats which helps with leveling. Don’t quote me on that but that is my understanding of how it works. I’ve applied the second coat a half an hour after the first and there is a big difference. I always get a smoother finish when I wait.
The roller would work much better for you if you really load it…LOTS of paint on the roller…then you probably won’t need to add any more for this piece. You need to really push the paint onto the roller first.
Not liking all the knots showing through - an unnecessary distraction. Love the Tide Pool color! Nice redo, but the new drawer pulls look so much like the old ones you might have saved money and reused them.
When someone says "let me know in the comments below what you think" it really means just that. It does not mean to comment only if one likes the transformation. If a content creator did not want comments from people who do not like a transformation, they should not invite people to comment. Also, to only invite comment from people who agree with the transformation would be an ego trip. I, for one, do not like the colour choice, but that is because I do not like green. I like the white wash and the knobs.
Lovely transformation Amy, love the whitewash stain with the tide pool colour - very calming 😍😍
Thank you for this nice sharing. I wish you continued success. Best regards

Beautiful color! Thanks so much for sharing
It looks great!
So soft looking. 👍
Thank you 😊
I have that same Ryobi sander. But I have three batteries and I keep them rotated with a charger. So I always have a charged battery.
Really nice treatment for this “trash” (what a great find for free)
Right! I was so happy to find it 😊
Really came out great
Thank you!
NICE!😊

So satisfying to salvage a perfectly good piece and not have it end up in the landfill. Nice Job!!
I agree 😊
Thank you!
Gorgeous

I love it!!
Very nice work but why don’t people use drop cloths anymore??

too expensive
👏👏👏
Quick question. How can a paint self level if it’s already dry? Or does the paint stay wet for two hours?

❤
Both of my sanders are corded. 2:22
I hear ya about the batteries but once you have a couple 4 hrs, ryobi makes a great tool platform
Yes! I totally agree 👍
U forgot to list where u got the hardware
Thanks for the heads up! I just updated the product list.
👏👍😃
Globby : verb
Used in a sentence: "If you don't want it globby, then don't glob it on.". ❤ It!!!
(You should trademark that word)
I must need that $200 battery for my Ryobi glue gun 😂
Great job ! 💓😊👍🏼 just one thing… the nobs don’t fit the style in my opinion
I would just return the sander. It’s not worth spending $200 additional on a better battery.
Love all your hard work. Not liking the color. It must be hard coming up with new ideas for each project.

You don’t like the top or the pulls. Why did you feel you needed to comment? Beautiful piece by the way. You are a great teacher.

good job.
