What is SVI (sludge volume index)?
sludge volume index is described as the volume occupied by 1 G of activated sludge during the settlometre test of 30 minutes.
The best range of sludge volume index is 80 ml/g to 250 ml/g.
The best range of sludge volume index is 100 ml/g to 200 ml/g.
sludge volume index is also related with settling of sludge in secondary clarifier and the turbid effluent comes out of secondary clarifier.

Hello dost jaise ki tumne bataya ki Tumhara sludge volume 900 bacteria raha hai, yani ki jo Tumhari settling hai half an hour ki vah 900 aa rahi hai. Settling Jyada hone ki vajah Se Tumhara SVI (sludge volume index) Bhi Jyada aaega, sledge volume index Jyada aaega to sludge compact Nahin Hoga, sludge compact Nahi hoga to Sludge aeration tank Mein Upar uthega. Iska matlab yah hai ki SVI Jyada hone ka ek hi Karan hai ki aapka aeration tank Mein bacteria ki Matra bahut Adhik ho chuki hai yani ki jo old bacteria ki Matra Adhik ho chuki hai jo ki sludge compact na hone ka ek bahut bada Karan hai. agar aap apne tank mein se old bacteria ko drain kar denge to aapki samasya ka Samadhan ho jaega. isliye aap nirantar Waste activated sludge ko drain Karte Rahen.
