Chihuahuas are extremely protective of their "person" (that would either be you Nicolette, or both you AND Brian!) - so she'll likely give anyone who comes close to you the business, just to make sure she's keeping you safe! It's fun seeing Opal without her harness on - she looks "naked" - Chancie usually had a jacket on so when we'd walk outside on a hot day, people would exclaim "oh, you're "naked" today! :) Don''t worry about posting too many videos of Opal - she's part of the family and sharing in her growing up is awesome! So, THANKS!

What you say at the end about longevity being a blessing in itself - that really struck me! I'm an old man who's let life turn him into a grouch. But you're right that I should be happy instead - just because I've lived a long time! I'm going to put that wisdom into practice. Thank you! Suddenly ... I can't justify my grouchiness anymore. 😄
Hi Nicollet, Brian, and Opal, I think the two of you are amazing fur baby parents. Your doing great at training her, and I think I would struggle with discipline as well, because she is so darn cute. I had a tea cup chihuahua. She was black, and her big ears stood straight up. She looked like a bat, lol. I love the places that you take us to. Todays walk was just beautiful ❤ I have watched since before you got Opal, she is just a bonus. Keep being who you are. Sending you all Hugs 🤗😋🤗

My husband and I travel a bit (and our kids when they were younger), and we've often heard people say, "Oh there's nothing to see there" or "That place is boring", but 99.9% of the time we find something beautiful or interesting. Great video guys-i have been to Meramac Springs many times when I lived in MO. As for Opie’s play-biting, nice trick is to offer her a chewy bone or squeaky toy to distract her. She is very young and just behaving with you as she would in playtime if she was with her brothers and sisters. She is not being aggressive. Difference is there is no Mama dog to teach her doggie manners so you are her substitutes. She is so lovely and spirited and puppy-happy. Enjoy every moment with her.

Hi from South Wales in the UK I love your videos and Opal is really cute she reminds me of a dog I had she was Chihuahua and Jack Russel Terrier mixed and she was snappy just like opal but very intelligent, quick to learn and very protective.

I’m watching from the uk. Love your channel which I came across by chance. Opal was the interest for me as a real dog lover. Our dog is enormous in comparison being a St. Bernard/ poodle. Nicolette, if it’s possible please could you do a demo of your all terrain wheelchair. It’s particularly interesting as I worked with chair users for many years before retirement. We were always hoping to find a chair that is as adapted for off road use. Happy exploring.

Oh my gosh I went there as a kid with my family! We're in PA now but everyone else is there still. It was probably about 14 or so years ago. Before you said where you were, I was thinking of how much it reminded me of Maramec springs although I couldn't remember the name of it since it was a blurb of a memory! Its such a beautiful park! Missouri has some amazing sights.
My mom's name was opal she lived to be 102 and your puppy is so precious ❤

I recommend not using your hands for rough play. Only use the toys with rough play. Shell quit biting you. Offer an alternative to your had consistently. It’s fun to watch you three together!! ❤❤❤❤

Cute she is but what a dog does as a puppy it will do the same as an adult dog..Dogs needs to learn the word no for their safety. The earlier they learn to learn anything, the easier it is to train. IMO

Have enjoyed your past videos. Watching you guys with Opal have been so good. Know this may not mean a lot but using the F word takes away from your messages. Having kids watching you raise Opal and using certain words is really not family friendly. I pray the best for both of you in the future days.
Sorry about that we do want to be family friendly so we will consider that in the future. We try to remain real and authentic but we appreciate the feedback and would like anyone to be able to watch us so we will cut it out and won’t curse in any future videos from this point forward 🫶🏼
