I never knew this!! 😱
@@hugohenderson what!? When he's imitated I feel people always say "what it do nephew" 🤣🤷♀️ and of course then it's " fo shizzle bizzle ..." Maybe I'm just old AF
17:41 17:41 😅"nefew" is an urban term for "person, dude, you over there"
It always makes me happy to watch these videos and be reminded of all the love and recognition that Chester Bennington and Linkin Park received. RIP to a legend.
Thanks for the Playlists. I was so young for most of these so it’s nice to refresh my memory
I'm pretty sure that this award show is how I ended up being queer. Seriously, Madonna kissing Britney Spears made me queer.
Just came across your channel today. This video had my laughing hysterically. Thanks for that.
The MTV2 award was only for all the artists that were played onthe MTV2 channel. It was basically the rock/alternative channel & they had MTV Base for all the RnB & HipHop Acts... My parents payed for cable. The evolution & downfall of MTV is legendary.
I just found your channel a couple days ago and living for these videos!!! Please keep them coming
god the freaking puppets. the height of 2003 humor was a show where those puppets made prank phone calls.
MTV2 award was for like alternative/indie music
also hip hop
I love this series and I’m so glad to be watching these as they are released. Also- MTV2 what a time! Truly it was the only place you could listen to music- but I could have sworn mtv2 was just ~about the music~ and the award was a reflection of the stuff that was Music for Music People. Like sucker free Sunday was blowing up new rap artists on MTV 2 and it was all trying to recapture the magic of original “underground and edgy” mtv
That shot of AFI at 4:08 takes me back! As someone who loved them since the 90s it was crazy seeing them on MTV
I went to this show (can't believe it has been 20 years!). Not only was the show lit, but the after parties were epic!
PLEASE KEEP GOING!! We LOVE your content!! (if youre happy to!)
The LeBron & Ashanti part was soo cringy & pushy
Yess 2003 ❤❤Iconic vma moments
I love these retrospectives. Takes me back to me looking up wishing I could be on that stage one day and now it’s lookign like it’s gonna happen soon. 🤗
The year I graduated high school. I would go back to ‘03 in a heartbeat. 😢❤️
Xtina did two iconic performances and live!!! She was really on top of her artistry ❤
This is the video i asked for THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Pretty sure Snoop Dogg uses nephew the way people use bro😂😂
Exactly 😂
absolutely begging you to do 2013 VMA’s. never ever left my brain. affected me more than any other award show also the 2013 teen choice LOL!!!
Ugh! Me and my friends really brought into the “Justin was wronged by Britney” narrative back in the day and I truly hate that for us. Combine that with his “I love black people” campaign and we were down so bad. I’m glad we’re looking back and pointing out how problematic he was.
I mean no one knows the actual truth of what happened. he could’ve very well been wronged by her. and vice versa. it’s not a crime to be upset over something. you talking about him being problematic like you know him personally lol relax
@@ajaiy You can sit there and be team Timberlake, that's fine. But again, between his slut shaming of Britney, his cultural appropriation but never opening his mouth to speak on actual things that affect black people, the Janet of it all, and other smaller situations, most of us who liked him are going back and going "oh, he was actually not a good person"
@@ajaiy he was problematic period. Dragging a woman through the mud all those years so his career could benefit from all the attention. You dont have to know what really happened between them. You can just judge him for his actions. Trashy man.
@@ifreakinlovepop he didn’t ‘ drag’ anyone through the mud. y’all love trying to make up and exaggerate things to make him seem like such a horrible person when everyone in his life who actually know him say otherwise. including Britney. they’ve moved on and so should you. ‘we don’t have to know what happened between them’ the dumbest shit ever. you wanna talk on something you know nothing about. makes sense. I’m positive he doesn’t care though.
@@ajaiy hah! Didn’t drag anyone through the mud? Were you asleep during the 2000s? He constantly maligned Britney & other people in the media. You’re just another Justin apologist. 🤡
Less-than-consensual kisses and jokes about child predation (perpetrated by a nominee and attendee), to general cheers/applause and overall acceptance...2003 really was a different time damn
Why y'all always apply today's standards to back then? Geez
@@domotemujin7780because it wasn’t okay back then and wasn’t now !! if you’re okay with jokes like this than stay the hell away from children bro..
You should do more kca videos. I love the random moments in all of them.
I mean, the latest one has sneak peeks of new DaD, transformers and TMNT movies.🤨
I would love to see your breakdown of "Fromage" if any of that footage is still out there 😅 I can't imagine it ages well at all 😂 great job on these videos! What an awesome blast from the past
You are the best reviewer ever, I didn’t even know that was a talent 😅
2003 VMAs = The Kiss
We love these, keep em coming!!!!!
😂 i was like 8 or 9 when me and my mom watched this, im a huge fan of Britney and it was my first time seeing 2 girls kiss. Confused asking my mom "UHH WTF" and she explained gay rights to me! 😅 so shout out to this award show for teaching me about gay rights 👍🏽😅💁🏽♀️
ACTUALLY , shout out to Britney 😂
man, we need more vma vids.
Dirrty/Fighter is one of my favorite Xtina's performances of all time, she was on fire that night. Her botton "I f*cked Britney Spears" at the after party was iconic!
Not you blessing us with so much quality content right after I subscribed. Your mind.
Please please please talk about the 2005 vmas 🙏🙏🙏 personally I like it because it was one of the first time that reggaeton and other Latin music was really put in the spotlight and all the music featured also slaps. But the transitions that they have are LITERALLY INSANE.
You better do the 2009 vmas 😭😭
PLEASE do the vma's from 1992! Nirvana babyyyy (i mean i wouldnt really know i wasnt born yet but i heard through the grapevine that it was CHA-O-TIC
That one was probably the absolute BEST!!! The nominees, performances, presenters, ect. Dana Carvey's the host, ALL perfection!!
15:58 is a song called Never Leave You by Lumidee, Nicki borrowed the beat. This Og used to go off in clubs in 2003 👍❤
No shit Sherlock
U just remind me of how great award shows USE to be and nostalgic on my childhood
Wow what a great year for music, it was really hit after hit this year! Was definitely a fun time to be a 6th grader 😅
This was a good video. Would love to see one on 1999 vma
Chris Rock calling Randy Jackson Al Roker just might be the funniest thing I’ve ever heard
Chris Rock: making not-so-funny jokes at award shows since 2003
7:53 I think those puppets are from the Comedy Central show Crank Yankers.
he's funny
In the African American community usually the older men call the younger men nephew.
Lovvvvveee your Channel!! I’m looking for 2001 I thought I saw a new announcement new one was coming 💯💯💯💯💯
MTV2 was about less mainstream music, there was more rock, punk, soul and basically music that was not top50.
Snoop call everybody Nephew lol
These award show videos are what’s getting me thru life rn lmaoooo
Eminem and christina still make me laugh. In another world they would've made the IT couple of the 2000s but no. At first they complimented eachother and were very openly about finding eachother attractive and then shit hit the fan 😂
It wouldn’ve happened had he not freaked out on her over an interview, which triggered her abusivo trauma.
Also do the MTV awards held in Miami I think, where everyone were arriving in their yatchs or something. I think it was 2004 edition, where paris goes big hair platinum blod. what a moment
I remember that one. Wasn’t that the year Usher opened?
@@Ladysweetz2010 I think so!
2009 VMAs of course
