I made my block off plate from a piece of aluminum flat bar I picked up from Lowes. Yu can get the stock exhaust system from Venom Motorsports. It's possible the valve seals leaked some oil in the intake or exhaust. It don't take much oil on the exhaust side to make a lot of smoke. I never had any issues on my ghost or V22R but had an old Honda 200x that would do the same thing if it sat up for a while. I wouldn't be too concern unless it does it every time you cranked it up.

Just make sure whatever oil you use is rated for wet clutch. Don't use regular automotive oil.
Hi Jerry I finally got my ghost last year I'm changing the sprocket and putting the oil cooler on it I'm having trouble finding a block off plate for the secondary air unit and I'm also having trouble finding a new muffler and pipe would you know where I could get those and what is compatible with the bike like seats foot pegs ECT? I'm sorry for the huge question its just I trust you're judgment when it comes to this bike
I made my block off plate from a piece of aluminum flat bar I picked up from Lowes. Yu can get the stock exhaust system from Venom Motorsports. As far as after market exhaust I never bothered looking as the stock exhaust is a good free flowing system once I removed the cat. I don't know about any other seats that will fit and more than likely you can find universal foot pegs that will work on Amazon or Ebay.
Can you recommend a good after market carburator?
@@ChristopherCarroll-zw4hp yes, the Nibbi PE28fl amzn.to/4dCurW3
@@ChristopherCarroll-zw4hp The carburetor that comes with the bike is good. All you need to do is put a 105 main jet.
How far apart are the bolts on the back fender? Think it'll hold a sissy bar?

Hey Jerry, I saw your post on the forum about taking the Hawk flywheel off. Do you happen to have the link to where you got the puller that'll fit the Hawk? I got the 4* key and just need to know what the proper tool is required for the job to pop that sucker off.
I haven't installed the 4* key on my Hawk yet. Megadan posted a link to it somewhere. I'm heading out of town for the weekend and will have limited internet until Tuesday of next week. I know I have the puller but will be till next week before I'll be able to look at what I have.

Acceleration is pretty good for 223cc engine. It takes the twisties good as well but prefer the X22R 250 for the twisties.

Got a question so my bike is smoking on start up and it smells like burning oil after I left it sitting for a month and before it sat it wasn’t smoking.I thought it was my rings but I did a compression test and it’s at 160 psi so I think it could be my valve seals what do you think it could be?
It's possible the valve seals leaked some oil in the intake or exhaust. It don't take much oil on the exhaust side to make a lot of smoke. I never had any issues on my ghost or V22R but had an old Honda 200x that would do the same thing if it sat up for a while. I wouldn't be too concern unless it does it every time you cranked it up.

Is this a good bike? Would you recommend it? And 3rd, is this highway legal?
Yes,yes and yes.
How does this bike compare to the lifan lycan?
I never owned or driven The Lycan. However I have owned a Yamaha Route 66 to which the Lycan engine is an exact copy of. The V twin Lycan will probably be a much better setup for highway use. For back road cruising the Ghost is a great bike. I've taken the Ghost on the highway. It does handle it well but I wouldn't want to take it on a long trip. What parts fit the motorcycle in case something breaks or I want to upgrade any of them? I just bought mine and I'm waiting for it to come in but I'm worried the parts are hard to come by.
On my X22R, parts from the Honda CRF230F engine fit. Although the engine on the Ghost is supposed to be the same, I've heard the newer engine on the X22R has larger 69mm piston. I'm sure the Ghost is the same but haven't had a chance to pull the head to check.

I haven't done anything with it except change the oil regularly..
What's the top speed of your bike after these mods?
At 5000 miles you probably need to do a valve adjustment.

@johnhammel6277 at 6'5", you might be cramped up on the ghost. The KPX 250 would be a better match for you size and weight. The KPX is a true 250cc bike that has 20hp and 6 speed transmission. It will run 75+ as is without having to do anything to it. You will need to swap sprockets to gear it higher to get any kind of speed out of it. The KPX is also fuel injected so you won't have to worry about tuning. It's well worth the extra money.
