On the 15th of July 2024, my family suffered a heartbreaking loss when we lost my niece to Post Partum Hemorrhage (PPH). The devastation we felt was overwhelming, but in the midst of our grief, Me and my other niece came together to create a song of hope in memory of her. This song also aims to raise awareness in our community about the dangers of PPH (Ministry of Health Campaign). The lyrics of the song were inspired by the information on the PPH flyer.

No mother should die while giving life. Save a mother. Every drop of blood, every minute counts. This is a very powerful message. In Uganda, 1 in 3 mothers die from excessive bleeding during childbirth. This message is dedicated to all who have lost loved ones to postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) and to all the maternal health champions working tirelessly to ensure that no mother dies while bringing forth life.
