Surf Happens Surf Camp Experience

Join Surf Happens for the ultimate surf camp experience. Day camps at Santa Claus Lane are designed for beginner to intermediate surfers interested in learning the fundamentals of the sport, making new friends, learning the rewards of hard work, and having fun.
Our camp coaching system resembles a martial art where all students are categorized into groups based upon their age, skill and experience levels, and what they are learning with coaches assigned to each group.
Students learn ocean safety, the four primary kinds of surf spots, a step by step way to check the ocean conditions for hazards on any beach, reading the wind, waves, tides, and currents, gauging animal life as well as beginning to intermediate surfing practices.
In addition to surfing we paint pen hats, play beach games from dodge ball to beach slip n slide, obstacle courses, capture the flag and beach flags, teach warm ups and surfing specific training. Family fun Fridays feature pizza, a talent show, and commentated surf competition with trophies for every competitor followed by the grand finale graduation.
