Good job man! Hey no pressure but it would be sick if you did Minutes to Midnight, that’s my favorite album. Only if you want to and feel like it though
Kevin Christian Branco das Neves sorry I accidentally hit the thump down button. I really like your comment, that’s the best comment and idea for his next video. Again I’m sorry, my phone kinda screw me up
How is he proud though? Do you think if an afterlife exists he is sitting watching youtube videos and thinking how proud he is of him, that phrase makes no sense.
V W You don't have to come and ruin it. I do believe in afterlife. The fact he knows it doesn't mean he's watching RUclips videos. Many of his fans believe he is watching over them. We don't know if afterlife exists, but we can believe it does. At the same time, if it does, we don't know how things work there. Maybe in afterlife you can watch over everyone you love all the time, maybe there's no time in there. Maybe you can do many different things at the same time while focusing fully on each one of them. That actually sounds like heaven to me. Maybe Chester watched him come up with all those ukulele arrangements and that made him proud. The phrase make Chester proud isn't just an empty phrase. We say it because we believe that by all our actions we can make him proud, we say it because we believe in afterlife. When my friend's dad passed away, I was also telling her that he loves her and will love her forever, that he wants her to be happy, that he wants her to be strong, that he will always be with her and watch over her. And I wasn't making that up, I actually believe it. For you, it might make no sense, maybe you don't believe or maybe you think afterlife is almost the same as a normal life. Try to look beyond and imagine. As long as you don't know something for sure, you can imagine whatever you want
I'm just being realistic, I am raised Catholic so I was raised to believe in an after life, my belief is that even if there is an after life I don't think there is a close connection to this world, he wouldn't even know what his fans are doing. I also believe that people place too much emphasis on celebrities, noone should go out of their way to make a man they never knew proud.
V W Well, I'm was raised Catholic too, but my believes are a bit different. I believe in afterlife that is closely connected with us, I even believe in ghosts and all that stuff. I believe there is something bigger above us and I call it the God. But well, we don't know. Anyways, this isn't really putting too much emphasis on a random celebrity. Die hard Linkin Park fans were shocked and broken after he passed away, because he always loved his fans and connected with them like no one else ever would. Chester was all about giving love, smiles, laughs, happiness and music. If you talked to him personally, you would become a center of a universe for him for few minutes. He would listen to you, share things with you, give advice and words of support and love, he would hug you. Very few celebrities would do that. If he could, he took a minute or two to talk personally to every fan that came to a meet and greet. The lyrics that he wrote and then sang with pain and incredible passion in his beautiful voice made his fans feel loved, understood and apreciated. He saved many hopeless people, he taught us to love music, he helped. He shared his pain to make sure no one has to experience it themselves. And in that way, we have known him, and he has known us, because every song left us wondering how does he know we experienced what he's singing about. There was something very special about him. We weren't just fans to him. We were his friends, no matter if we ever met him personally or talked to him directly, and he was our friend too. I personally never talked to him directly, and except for seeing him once on stage about 20 meters away from me, I never really met him. But when he passed away, it felt like losing a close friend, close friend that would always understand me and help me no matter what. I never felt even remotely close to that bad when different celebrity passed away. He made me love music, inspired me to dream of becoming a singer, he helped me to grow and experience completely new emotions, he made me become a better person, he helped me when no one else did. And there are many fans that feel the same about him
That’s really crazy you say that as I was just learning to play the beast and ye harlot about an hour ago haha. Yeah I would like to do the City Of Evil album but I don’t know if my hands can move fast enough lol
This album was one of about 5 that defined my high school years. I kinda lost interest in the band after Meteora, but Linkin Park will always hold a special spot in my heart for those great early years. Great job on the medley!
I'm the same, i fell in love with Hybrid and also love Meteora but they kinda lost me after that. Interested to know what other albums you were into at that time? :)
My high school "anthem" albums besides Hybrid Theory and Meteora were: Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler & Does This Look Infected? Rancid - ...And out Come the Wolves & Indestructible Nofx - Wolves in Wolves Clothing & The War on Errorism Eiffel 65 - Europop Eminem - The Eminem Show AFI - The Art of Drowning & Sing The Sorrow Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning Less Than Jake - Hello Rockview & Borders and Boundaries The Aquabats - The Aquabats vs the Floating Eye of Death Weird Al - Running with Scissors & Poodle Hat Those were the physical CDs in my discman most often (so much for "about 5"). Looking back on this list, I guess I couldn't decide if I was a fun loving punk/ska kid or an emotionally detached goth kid or just a dork, haha.
Linkin Park is my most important band too, they’re the reason Im a metalhead and I also really like old school rap and it all falls on Linkin Park and that’s a very special thing that a band can do that to a person.
i still haven’t stopped watching this since it was released, i love it so much. linkin park mean the absolute world to me and i’m sure they would love this.
I happened to stumble across this vid and God, I'm glad I did. Linkin Park was the soundtrack to my middle school years, and they definitely shaped me as a person. To this day they remain my favorite band. I was devastated when Chester died, and I know if he were still here today he'd go crazy over this vid. You know a cover is good when it goes just as hard as the original song, great job man :)
awww mate, thanks so much for taking the time to write that. He and Linkin Park had such a profound effect on so many people and its great to hear people having similar experiences to mine. Appreciate the positivity 😬
What you said at the end really struck a chord. Linkin Park provided the soundtrack to my adolescence as well. I usually never care when a celebrity passes away, but Chester's death truly affected me. It symbollically marked the end of my youth.
This is brilliant! The idea is so funny, but the execution is fantastic. I have the biggest smile on my face. Linkin Park is my whole life too, and I still hurt thinking about Chester. He deserved better. But you definitely do #MakeChesterProud.
I think alot of ppl can relate to a bunch of things you said. I was 14-18 during the Hybrid Theory / Meteora era. The first time I really felt that music "got to me". Was also devastated for months after chesters death. Felt like a loss of a close family member and it still moves me back to that time in life every time I listen to them. Following Mikes journey and hope they will get back some day. Great job here sir!
Just for your words towords Chester il give u a sub dude. Cause I feel the same way. We've missed more than a voice, more than a person. Rest in Piece, old friend, u'l be missed forever.

I definitely agree with the fact that it was different when Chester passed; First and only time I've really actually been bummed out about a famous person passing. Not to say I don't think it sucks when anyone passes away, just was different with Chester.
Loved this. Just subscribed. Your homage is superb, and I really liked the chat at the end. And what you say about Chester's passing - I was exactly the same. And I'm almost 50 ffs! It's weird, whether it came so soon after Chris Cornell, I don't know. But I've never been affected like that before over the death of someone I haven't known personally or met. I just can't put my finger on why. Anyway, yeah, great stuff - glad I happened upon it. I look forward to hearing more 👍
Thanks for the sub buddy! Its kinda odd how it affected so many people in the same way ain't it? I was with a group of musician friends who all grew up listening to Chester screaming his heart out. All of us were gutted. Thanks for the support mate :) Any albums you think would work well on the uke?
Сука,до слез просто!!Ну нет лучше группы,нет и не будет!!!!Настолько мелодичный песни....до мурашек...голос Честера был вообще кажется не земной.а божественный!!

A Place For My Head works so well on uke.
such a awesome riff :)
I moshed on that A Place For My Head HAHAHHA
The best one
Yep it works for the it well
it seems that the faster it is, the greater it is on uke (one step closer is awful in this version for example).
I want a full version of A Place For My Head. So good!!!
i might just do that 😬
That's it!!
Clearly the best riff of all linkin park's songs to me and amazing with the ukulele
Points of authority, too?
Linkin Park is one of the most important bands for me as well and i never clicked a notification so fast haha you're awesome!!
Its seems to be the case for an entire generation 💙
I couldn't agree more, first band to ever have an emotional impact on me, my 8 yr old self back in 2003 lol
