I bought one of these and it is amazing. Now just a warning if you put something heavy on top of it the sides widen which lets the trays slip so dont put anything heavy on top of it.
Anecdotal.... I have a few Battle Foam cases, Maga Rack cases, a GW case, and a number of DIY magnetic transports built from stackable storage bins. Saw a few guys at my LGS using Jucoci cases and thought I would try it because of the price. Bought one six months ago and have used it regularly since through the summer temperatures. No issues. No broken models. No structural problems with the case. The hard plastic sides provide plenty of impact protection from any angle. By far the best 'bang for the buck' mini transport case I've seen. I probably will retire all of my 'foam' cases exclusively to long term storage or for my Warhound Titan and buy more Jucoci cases in the future. My only complaint is that the method of securing the door closed is flimsy, but can be easily remedied with either a simple DIY catch or one of the Jucoci canvas covers. Note, when I purchased mine, it was the 2024 version. My understanding is that the model sold a year ago had some structural problems that were corrected in the current design.
Got one, best case I ever had... My Tiranids live in there... Been wargaming since 1990, board games since 1985. Tons of foam cases, they are good, for small armies, this is way more profesional than what I had before, easy 9/10. -1 because they are still not cheap, but then again, neither is my warhammer inside. Edit: I bought mine with 6 spare trays + the backpack to put it in.
@@MiniatureRealms TY Also, as far as the looks of the box go, lets compair apples with apples. It is a storage/carry box. Not a museum level display stand. It serves it's purpose like Death Corps of Krieg, it ain't there to win a contest. That being said, most other carry-casess suffer from 'the looks' way more. I have tons of GW boxes and other brands as well as some tuperware boxes filled with foam/mini's. For me, Jucoci case is by far, the best for the price. And yes, with backpack, delivery and 6 extra tray's, it is somewhat costly... My army in there is way more so... Bad news ... I'll e needing a second one...
I love mine. Slide the trays in and out and start gaming. No more time consuming pulling minis out of a foam case. All my armies are on trays on shelves for display even. If I want to show off the army, I just hand the person the whole tray. Easy peasy...
Have one as do travel. I have my Orc and Gobbo army in there. The metal maurauder giant and shaman on war wyvern are really secure. They dont move and there's a lot of potholes, speed bump laden streets and creative geography here.
Looks like a sturdy case but I definitely see your comparison to baking trays 😂 Will be a lot of fun to try your case going to Warhammer World with your son. You will have to let us know about your thoughts on 40k
I have multiple of the other Jucoci version (no light). The other version has metal screws instead of the plastic ones, most of the doors I have are a bit flimsy feeling but haven't flown open when I have seatbelted them into the back of my car. Overall I like them but have moved onto Greenstuff Rubber Steel and clear plastic stacker boxes.
I have a similar one but without lights. Unfortunately the trays fall out of the frames and down. I had to replace the original trays with better sized mdf platforms.
Thanks for the review! Over the years, my gaming OCD has kept me pretty scared and untrusting of any case where you carrying it like a suitcase with the minis. suspended inside. I still use the old style classic GW army carrying cases from the 2000s. However whenever I go to a store or club for a game, I carry them horizontally in a stack in my arms so that the minis. themselves are laying horizontal during carrying. I never carry the cases by the handle. GW's foam inserts are waaaay too loose and minis. can fall out of their slots. This product looks promising, but I would have to get over my fear of the minis. being vertical, lol.
Yeah I’m totally with you there. Magnets are trays are great with plastic models, much better than foam, it’s the metal mini as I’m more concerned with.
@@MiniatureRealms Exactly, plastic is no problem. It's the metal stuff which I've got a fair amount of, specifically Perry historicals which I'm terrified of dumping all over the pavement!
I’m not so sure, seems too big of a think. I also wouldn’t want to lay it down for long periods, which would be needed for overhead storage. That along with turbulence might be an issue.
So you can either buy another seat for your carry case. Or you can wrap the minis and ship them ahead of you to a post office store. (the UPS store) Most of them accept packages with a simple payment of $10 american dollars
@jacawandersmok9043 Ah yes, well you’d probably need a different storage solution for that. I use large Really Useful Boxes to store more of my terrain.
How weird, this popped up on a Amazon feed that faceache keeps doing now, then your channel and the very same bit of equipment being reviewed. Well it looks like it maybe worth a punt
I got one, its fine for the price if you don't want a total piece of crap. Don't whip it around, I'm assuming the first thing that would fail would be the inserts for the bolts getting dislodged from the plastic.
I have one I bought from the official retailer on Amazon. Honestly, it’s not worth the asking $100+ for this sort of storage system and material. It’s injection molded plastic with zero support inside the panels. It warps incredibly easily (no I didn’t leave it in the extreme cold or heat). Due to the warping, when I transport my models the trays become dislodged and fall on each other and it has broken at least $300 worth of my models. Models I’ve spend dozens of hours assembling and painting. This Jucoci case is not worth the asking price. Luckily I got my refund via Amazon. I will never consider this company again until they change their materials or at least add supports inside the panels.
These are some of the best storage cases I’ve ever used. And they are quite resistant.
Thanks for sharing!
I’m glad to hear you like yours, the more I think about mine, the more I think it will end up being perfect.
Thanks for the review

Good advice, thank you.
@@MiniatureRealms I did fix it laying on the side with weight on it with trays in now its fine.

Cheers for this review mate its brilliant!
Thank you 🙂
Interesting but need to get some more painting done before i might need one of these! Looking forward to the next terrain vid.
One on the way very soon 🙂
All my baking trays at home with miniatures on them now need a cave ... 😄😀
😂
I’ve got the case myself been using it for a while now no issues in car even going over bumps and can fit my 2000 point tyranid army in it
That’s excellent news. I’m pretty confident when it comes to plastics, it’s the metal ones that worry me more.

I’m really looking forward to it, we got his stuff all painted at the weekend, I’ve got a couple of weeks to do mine now 😅

I did have a brief look at those

I’ve heard they’ve redesigned that version because of that, Will cautiously see how mine goes.

@miketike3246 😬
Currently using really useful boxes and bubble wrap for my Chaos Knights. Not suggested for spiky Dark Eldar though!
Yup spikes and bubble wrap/foam is a pain.
I plan to travel by plane. Will this be a good hand carry option?

I think i will stick to organasers and random plastick boxes with a lot of peiper.
That absolutely works as well
👍❤️🤘🔥👌

Great that your son wants to play with you.
It’s great fun, both boys showing an interest.
Might have to check it our. Might have to aget 4 of them. Space/dist savers. 😅😅😅
I was definitely pleasantly surprised by it.

How to muve imperial maner...
Imperial?
@@MiniatureRealms yes the big terin box from old wolrd that got out of stock.

I have 12 of these none came with those plastic screws.
I think from what I’ve heard this is a newer design, but could be wrong.

Yeah that’s pretty much my thoughts on it, and with how little I’ll probably use it, I think it might be a sound investment.
Cheap 😂
😂 Yeah I feel the same, that’s why I added the “*” to the thumbnail. But in relation to the other major brands version it’s half the price.

That’s fair enough, sorry you have had a bad experience. Mine will likely only be used a handful of times a year, hopefully it will survive.
