Wider mining was dictated by prestige variant mechanic: - Iron is even more important than other variants, since it is, as usually, needed for upgrades but also base is rising by 10 and only iron raises it - I need cobalt only for repair, so missing some does not matter much - Water is needed for upgrades only early on, and to rise multi, but there is plenty more water that you really need (this is why I was converting it to iron), so missing some is also fine Therefor you can strip mine wider and allowed some water and cobalt to be missed.
There is something called Pro Settings in loadout menu for prestige (not sure if it still the case, but in version 3 of the game it was available once you got at least 1000 points in any mode). It allows you to set order of caves/gadgets/supplements. It was implemented to easy out gameplay for pro players, since we were just restarting for hours to get the setup we wanted (and that was before new caves and gadgets were added, now it would took days to find good setup). But it is useful for any player, I would say :)
The timer starts after either: - you mined out 8 blocks - or after you delivered iron to the dome. So you can safely mine 7 blocks and deliver water/cobalt. In this case I wanted drone to end delivering water, so once I go to dome control panel, I have iron (for drill) and water (for +1 drone) and the drone already delivered this 1 iron left, so it is ready to go for next resources I mined immediately. A little optimization trick ;)
you obviously don't need any advice from me, my best is 14880. but the balloon guy at @35:57 and at @49:29, you can leave him alone and it will just deflate over time, especially since you have no battle drones left. it takes a while to deflate and the wave doesnt end until it disappears, so you would gain about 20-30 seconds for leaving him alive

Is there a reason why you're waiting a little bit at the start of the run ? (When the drone bring back the water)

Good question. It was Shock Hammer, but was nerfed. Probably still really strong. That, or Auto Cannon.

@zimny11 Also use a word every 5 minutes, no need to fill in the silence completely, just every now and then to explain what you're doing and why.
