yep, i was 100% sure he will demolish this game, cause there is only one name from Cameron's "Aliens" here. The trick of the atmosphere of confrontation with such a monster as an alien is that: 1) it is hiding somewhere in the infrastructure of the building and it can only be tracked by a motion sensor 2) it is deadly near, because firstly it scratches and bites painfully, and secondly it can not be killed near itself-you will fill yourself with acid. 3) at the same time, the alien can be quite tenacious, ignore the loss of limbs and injuries 4) can move freely on vertical surfaces 5) as a consequence of the previous points, the alien attacks unexpectedly and from a short distance, can move along unpredictable routes, which is why the tension instantly flies up to the ceiling, since it must be killed faster than it reaches you and return to assessing the situation around. absolutely all these points are violated in this game. aliens move slowly along 1-2 easy-to-read paths of movement, very frail, acid causes ridiculous damage, and an assessment of the situation by the sensor is not actually required. Yes, purely mechanically, playing in co-op with friends, shooting stupid bots with rare minibosses can even be fun. But please don't drag Cameron and his Aliens into this. In the movie, they were monsters, in this game , they are harmless cats.
Tbf he did say so and then pretty much talked shit for the whole review then magically the vote is a 7 in the end. Like what? Too much rose tinted glasses here. I understand joe is a massive fan of the ip but goddamn that didn't feel coherent.
this game just isn't very horror focused, they'd still have to rework a lot of the game to make it scarier even if they made it first person, though i do think being a third person shooter does hurt it a lot, just like it hurts a lot of mediocre games

Compared to the other recent “non-isolation” aliens game, the bar wasn’t that hard to leap over. Still, it’s good to see the game getting a good reception. Maybe not a great reception, but they didn’t completely drop the ball.
@@anoobisshenanigans4800 a modder fixed a part of it so that they actually try to flank you and run on walls/ceiling but still no where it should've been
@@Extreme96PL Apologies, I meant for the comment to say "recent Non-Isolation" games. Aliens games were good back in the day, but recent ones have been... less than ideal.
Dude, right on cause at the end this is just too fun not to play alone. The fact that more content is coming for free is just amazing. Also I love your videos.
Glad to see you guys enjoyed the game Joe and crew! We agreed with quite a few of your points as well. There are however 30+ weapons in the game, but you do need to do harder content to get them. Also, all core updates to the game in the future will be free. That means missions, classes, weapons, etc. The only paid DLC is cosmetics, so hopefully they flesh out this game over the next year+. Great review Joe! EDIT: Just so it's clear guys, we didn't make this game lol. No idea why we are getting those comments below this post. We just cover games with guides and reviews and have been huge fans of the Angry Joe Show since its inception.
It always warms my heart when creative masterminds behind projects listen to audience feedback and react to it in a good way. Kudos to you for taking that path.
Me and my brother are addicted to this game! We did wish we could've fought the queen, but that didn't change how much fun this game is. Hope to see more DLC.
I want the classic M240 flamethrower as a Rifle slot weapon. And I agree, the classic Pulse with the under barrel launcher that replaces either your secondary weapon or one of your abilities.
@@Iriamu-Guillermo yeah, I've been really happy about that. I just hope there's an attachment for it that gives weak point hits explosions like I have for the regular shotgun.
"They set themselves up for failure with horror by having it be in third person" That's kind of an odd point considering the massive horror success of games like Resident Evil and the much more obvious comparison of Dead Space. I don't think it's the POV that's cheapening the horror elements; I think it's the style of gameplay. It's hard to make individual enemies scary when you mow down hundreds of them every level. Left 4 Dead is 1st person and isn't scary as a result of this, too
idk... i played all of the resident evil's as a kid and the recent ones. I don't know that I would classify resident evil as a horror. There were scary moments but overall you were kicking zombie ass. Maybe the newer games. Def a matter of opinion, but I'm the type of person that feels that first person is the way to go. 3rd person you are more removed from the character, aware of your surroundings, and you get more of a perspective of your size to other things. Idk... again maybe it isn't this way for everyone, but most of the gameplay of games like REs and deadspace even... felt overall more like an action game to me. oh also, don't know how I didn't mention this earlier... the most recent RE horror games have been in first person and imo have been scarier than previous titles overall. Again, some of the old games definitely nailed some jumpscare moments, but the overall impending feeling of doom isn't really there.
Third person just removed a bunch of jump scares. You can see behind your character, over obstacles, around walls. Third person in general removes the player from immersion which is okay of for instance you want the player tobe able to see his character
I want a predator horror game that plays a bit like isolation. Think about it. You're not some bad ass soldier and the predator is stalking you...toying you as you try to avoid it. I can imagine as it laughs at your misery when you fall for one of its traps when you think you got away
@@BooBanana eh it's something I used to have nightmares about from that one predator movie when he was in the city when I was 10. Rather tired of being some marine soldier dealing with the predator when we should have some horror games involving the predator
I would’ve liked to see a first person shooter where the atmosphere is darker and grim. The action should be more suspensful where every encounter and individual aliens are equally deadly. And also more variety in the missions.
I've been playing a ton since it released. I just today started to get kind of fatigued by it. BUT, I really really liked the game. It has a ton of potential. The thing that surprised me the most was the story and voice acting. It was awesome

@@patrickoakley7890 Dude. I am aware of that. I am one of the few people who don't shit scape on Dynasty Warriors 9 for its flaws and the buggy release. I actually liked it and own a copy for PC as well as console to even further my review points with two version to compare to one another. That's the length I go for every title. I even not judge them by franchise and stuff, but by their standalone quality. But I trust AngryJoe's reviews, because he and I have similar taste and judge games in a very similar fashion, too. So I can rely on his viewpoints, because I can tell that I won't have much fun with it.
This game is way too hard IMO. I don’t like it. Can’t even get passed the third part of the first mission even on casual mode. it’s ridiculous and the controls are trash
At least you guys are getting games! Sad predator fan over here playing repetitive ass Hunting Grounds for months waiting for anything, I'd even take an MK11 guest appearance again... 😢
@KlazeGamez it's ridiculous that in a decade all we get is Predator Hunting grounds which is borderline the most subpar shooter I've ever witnessed. Even AVP 2010 was better than Hunting Grounds, Concrete Jungle deserves a revive, it makes me sick that this rich lore can't get a solid game.
@@rockybalboa4593 had the same problem friend, took 6 attempts and a full squad to finish that mission on standard. Getting charged by so many warriors at once was bs.
@@Ihavethetouch That game was awesome. Mixing Aliens with Metroid style gameplay was inspired. Too bad that game is super expensive now via second hand market. I've seen copies go on Ebay for $70 on up.
The real magic in this game is on intense difficulty and up it almost feels like a completely different game. Bigger Aliens are mini boss battles in themselves even the little aliens can take a hit. The cards give it more flavour and the Drone alien mechanic is just so well done. I really hope they build on this game rather then leave it as it is. Horde Mode needs some love.
I've recently returned to it since we all last played and they have added a second horde map and 2 new playable classes with their own perks, etc. More weapons, more attachments and a few other tidbits here and there so they still support it. Somehow I even found some folks in matchmaking so there seems to be a living playerbase even after all these months.
The game is simple and fun. Main complaint, every level is exactly the same. Go to several points, push a button, kill the horde, kill the boss. They need to add some layers to this to keep people around.
Like my other comment, I am almost a hundred hours in and after unlocking everything, I just don't see a reason to play anymore. The actual gameplay loop is so lukewarm and stale and I was starting to get "collecting DNA" umbrella corps vibes during my replaythroughs. This game really needed some variation in the actual gameplay aside from 1 or 2 objectives changing now and then. I wish people weren't being so forgiving.
Staff Sergeant Herrera was a nice touch. We have a SSG Deleon in our platoon, and he's got a very noticeable Puerto Rican accent, so everyone really emphasizes his name. Points for realism where nobody was looking. Lol
Was watching live during the last mission. I love that Joe is still trying to sell everyone that OJ and Alex left him behind when he ran in the total opposite direction of the map marker 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was a bit sad that the pulse rifle didn’t have the under barrel grenade launcher but it didn’t affect the game play of course but would have loved if they kept it in. Unless they did and I wasn’t paying attention.
They didn't but the explanation is that the pulse rifle has been upgraded since then but would have been cool for the classic smart gun and pulse rifle
It's a shame they didn't allow you to actually fight the queen-- this seems like the perfect genre of game to allow a queen boss battle to work! I can understand why they didn't include one in Alien Isolation, but in an action game like this it would've been amazing.
Probably lack of resources/time. Same reason they didn't add the lip flaps. I imagine it's gonna come in a later installment when they get time to animate it properly.
@@vla1ne lol you casuals have to stop giving these studios excuses just because you have no clue how game devs works....theres a simple pipeline that allows the simulation of mouth movements based on audio which is a plug & play...you ppl cant possibly think they animate mouth movements by hand lol which is still childs play but really tedious
@@IP2CxHistorian2 i'm not giving excuses for anything major my guy. Lip flaps are literally bottom priority imo. I was talking more about the alien queen fight, and using the lip flaps as an offhand comparison. I would rather them hold off on it, balance an entire level around the battle, and add it in a patch where it is a more complete and satisfying boss battle, than them trying to make the level early, and having it come out the gate as a trash fight. This isn't like colonial marines, cyberpunk, or no mans sky, where the game is busted on release. What we have right now is both entertaining and we'll done overall. All it needs is a bit more polish, which, as they have already said they would do just that (polish up and add content to the game via later patches), I am willing to give benefit to them for making the game as good as it currently is. I get your point overall, but this game is good as is considering they made the choice to make it all in house to retain full creative control, and already has the promise of getting better, which is far more than I can say of behemoth studios like gamefreak, with their most recent mainline pokemon games.
I can't really think of how a queen boss battle would be fun though. Maybe if it came from another host that allows it to spit acid, but a human-born queen is essentially just a tankier praetorian.

It seems like a lot of people ignore the alien books and comics. There were other marines that completely destroyed most of the alien hives. The aliens didn’t stand a chance against most of the marines. This game does the marines justice as this is how they are in the books and the actual lore.
A mixture of something like this mixed with alien isolation would be the perfect alien game. It would keep that survival horror element but you would also be playing as a combat marine that isn’t basically defenseless like ripley’s daughter was in isolation. It could be more of a cat and Mouse style where you do have firepower but there are so many aliens that straight up fighting through them might not always be the best option

this game is horrible. And if you paid the $70 they asked on the pre-sale, you will want a refund and slam this game into anyone who claim its great.........it's like a DLC you could download for $5 to add in your Left 4 Dead game......this doesn't look like a game on its own, but a small fanmade DLC.

@@ComicWriter-ml3qt the way they talk about it doesn't look like it was fun...it looks like they gave it a pass, because they thought it was going to be horrible......and they had "fun" because they were playing the 3 together. Speaking of Isaac Clarke I’m so fucking hyped for the remake they are doing!! I can’t wait!’ And hopefully they’ll do 2 and 3 remakes too, especially 3 Cus 3 could’ve been good if it was more horror than action unlike the first 2 games
Aye! Atmosphere, soundstaging and design, and emphasis on survivability, means everything in a truly terrifying horror experience and Dead Space nailed it (albeit, DS2 was scarier than the first and third iterations). However, that was the sole purpose of that trilogy. The concept and creative direction was purely atmosphere-centric, which is where Fireteam Elite differs. If you play A:FE as it's intended to be played, it's a damn fun and surprisingly deep third-person objective-based shooter. If you're looking for the horror elements from AvP 2000 and Isolation, you will find those elements to be lacking.
This game is begging for procedural xeno encounters or a solo mode where the queen stalks you through the level like in alien isolation adding a true horror element. Plus an optional 1st person mode would be sick IMO. There’s so much more that they can do with the game..
Maybe if enough of us buy the game they could do all that, cuz u can tell they didn't have much of a budget, that being said I'm enjoying the shit outta this game!
Gotta give them credit, the dev team that worked on this is very small. If enough people buy it, they’ll hopefully be able to get more staff and improve the game even more.
They built a good foundation for future games. They could potentially add boss battles and lots of other stuff in the future, either in DLC or a second game. I personally am really enjoying the game. It's hella fun, just missing a few things to make it really great.
It misses a LOT of things. This is just a shoot-press button-hold ground kind of game. It's cheap, lame and poor. Cheap because the amount of variety/lore is veryyyy limited. Lame because there isn't much to do except to shoot, press buttons and hold ground. And poor because the story, the dialogue and the set up are atrociously low. No lip movement, really? Cards for playing style, really? You on a mission and get back to a ship, really? Etc etc etc. Adding a boss battle... That is like fixing ONE thing on a multitude of problems/lack of content. The game already has "boss battles", they aren't that great as you can tell. They do get somethings right... The aliens theme... And that's about it. That's what holds the game, everything else is just forgettable and lame
I feel like Joe's nostalgia kept him from really shitting on the game. This game seems good but way too repetitive. I feel like other Joe and Alex gave more of an honest truly neutral review and helped point out its flaws
What I learned in the past year, with Star Wars Squadron and this game, is that selling your game for $40 grants you a lot of leeway in quality, as well as providing the games for "free" with a monthly subscription.
Me and a buddy got this thing on sale for $8. Been having a blast playing it. In the middle of it we both wondered "What did Joe think about it" nice to see he enjoyed it
I've played almost entirely solo, so I've stuck to casual and standard difficulty levels, but I've still been having a blast. I wouldn't go any higher without a consistent group to play with, but in my opinion even without friends there is still a lot of fun to be had here, especially if you are into the Alien franchise at all.
Tbh considering its this studios first game, they have done a pretty good job. Hopefully they can retain the license and produce a second game with a higher budget.
@@mrtoast3319 haven't you been paying attention to gaming recently? Its more likely they will just be providing this game with updates and new content for a while.
The game does have a compelling hook to it. It's addictive and I can't put it down despite the repetition. It's extremely glitchy though online with PS4. So many disconnection and other issues.
Yes to me the lag, loading times and fps drops are a big mood killer. I hope me xbox series S will run the game better. Right now I have it on xbox one X with 4k. But xbox one X is pretty dissapointing in terms of speed.
I know they recently had an update, was wondering if it resolved a bunch of the connection issues. I wanted to play with a buddy prior to that update and literally could not get beyond like 30 seconds into a match before one of us would DC.
You ever think how games without that big of a budget who could've gotten more help from the IP make good games? Almost like when they get bigger companies to help they lose control and not get to do what they planned.
So, this is the case if having more financial backing, more budget, the team would've developed an even better game. This is a case of the development team being competent, not much of a budget. That is rather unfortunate, but at least the game doesn't suck.
There still working on it from the sounds of it it did well enough for the team to get a better budget for future investments into the game they already have a new class and some big fixes coming up and any big update with classes , story , or weapons they add will be free the only paid dlc will be cosmetic or special items (like hicks shotgun that you can buy in a pack right now)
Summarized well. People hate the development company, Platinum Games, in the past, but Platinum Games has created memorable games such as Metal Gear rising and Wonderful 101. People who say that companies need a huge budget don't understand you also need to treat the hardworking staff with respect and actually, you know... Be competent and respond positive to "constructive criticism."
Gotta disagree here. The problem isnt budget, its that the game is a Left 4 Dead clone with an Aliens skin. Idk why people talk so much about the background lore, when the actual gameplay and feeling of the game doesnt fit Aliens at all?
“They kinda fucked it up” Team Alex and OJ this game is a pass for now until they add more content, you see potential but there is so much to be desired
if you are not a mouthbreather, you can finish this whole game in 2hs.......the gameplay is so boring and repetitive, the only thing that slows you down in the latter missions is you are fed up and you are just trying to get over it to go on with your life........

This review was an emotional rollercoaster. I saw the title and got SUPER excited to see how this game turned out as I was really excited. Then my excitement turned to disappointment with the thumbnail Joe’s angry face… turned on the video and was very happy at the intro plot twist 😂👍👍👍

I think the best experience with this game is with friends because I’m having a really hard time finding other human players when I want to start a mission. For those of you that want to know more about the story that takes place in Elite Fireteam, the game uses as a background the story of “Alien: Infiltrator” the novel. That being said I hope a future campaign uses “Alien: Prototype” so we get the Necromorph Xeno.
I really do feel like a company like ID Software would absolutely nail an Aliens Game (not like doom eternal but the horror elements from doom 3 and 2016 would be fantastic also the craftsmanship that goes into the mechanics that are in doom eternal are extremely refined and I feel the tactical aspect to a lot of the way the combat works in eternal would be nice in a game like this with weak points certain weapons that have specific purposes and the co op aspect of discussing who will focus on said weak points would be refreshing.)
@@kylekomicbro1836 They probably thought that if they have greenlight and have ip for aliens it wouldn't make any profit. Remember having licensed for movie game are not cheap.
Would be cool to have levels set in a level where a populated colony is attacked by the Xenos. And you and your team have to get to the final section of each chapter with a optional number of civilians and ai marines, which depending how many you save could affect the amount of help you can have at the final section. A level where a bunch of synthetics go rouge like isolation but make em stronger and almost terminator like strength. Add levels where you can evac civilians like xcom 2 did in resistance base missions.
Remember this is a game thats is developed by a small group , they already stated that once the game gives them enough profit they will work on future dlcs wish will fix some of the problems and add more content , so im pretty sure we will get to fight the queen , I just hope this game ends up being big with a lot of content and add more players instead of 3

I enjoyed the game for the most part. My biggest complaint, a pretty big complaint for me, is that the Doc is by far the worst support character I've ever played in any game. I love being the medic, the white mage, the druid. I'm a medic class through and through but the Doc made me want to not play medic at all by the second chapter.

Actually he did and it's one of his favourite horror games he told us on one of his latest videos, but i get what he is saying, 3rd person just is less scary imo, 1st person horro is more immersive not to mention VR, I didn't even dare finish RE7 in VR and I have played most horror games out there :D
This game is over priced and not enough content. You can beat the game in a few hours. Very repetitive. Matchmaking is broken and puts you with bots half the time. No FOV adjustment. No Voice Coms. I was shocked to hear him say they didn't fuck it up.
8:40 On that point i believe the issue was that the Open arena level design is a diservice. If you have to face that kinda Thing in a close and tigth space, where it hinders the movement of yourself and your team mates, It does become more terrifying to face a Preatorian or Warrior. But since the Area is big and open, you can all just move around it and focus fire, since the thing is just trying to bum rush the first player that is closest to it. Some rework of the AI and the level designs, where they would utilise the decors and environement to their advantage, climb onto it, use the cover of darkness to cling on the ceilings or the walls etc, would work better.
ALIENS: FIRETEAM ELITE was the most disappointing thing since my son! - Horrible Lag - Very slow load times - character mouths don't move when talking - inability to boot idiotic, inactive players - no S.H.A.R.P. sticks - No Sonic Electronic Ballbreakers The awesome good things are that no micro transactions for better equipment and add ons. Interesting story. Worth the $40 if you have reliable friends.
I first saw a video and was like "Nah, thank ya! I don't need a stupid shooter!" But then I gave it a chance, and I was so surprised how good and adicting the game is! I love it, and I hope we will get tons of DLC. I am willing to pay for it 🤘
Really enjoyed this review. As the AngryJoe show evolves, I would like to more of these sit down 3 person reviews - in addition to the Angry Rants ie Anthem, Madden etc
Still makes me twitch when Alex is interrupted though. As much as I love the Joes, Alex tends to be the one who says what I'm thinking. To be fair it doesn't happen as much as it used to, Joe's a lot more relaxed these days it seems.
Is anybody gonna talk about how bad the walking animations are for the marines? And I also think that this should of been first person cus third person for aliens games just seems wrong.
My impressions so far. This game is definitely a budget title, and I think it’s definitely not worth more than 20 at most £30. GOOD / 1)Aliens crawl on ceilings and walls! So when it’s all working as it should, it’s decent. Especially in contrast with games like Aliens Colonial Marines. 2) being able to lay down sentry turrets is great! As well as traps. And the mechanics work very well it’s all very functional. Being able to pick back up your Sentry Turret is also welcome feature. 3) The combat is fun, the game is fun generally. BAD / 1)Not much tension for an Aliens game. Agree with other Joe. 2)No option to turn off AI Bots when playing solo. Solo subsequently is not great, and if you could turn off bots it actually could be a lot of fun! 3)No crouch? Now I know you might think that you don’t need a Crouch in a game like this. But having a Crouch which then improves the players accuracy at the cost of mobility just adds an extra layer of tactical consideration to the combat. I always think a Crouch is worth having. 4)I’m playing on PlayStation 4, and so far the game has proved to be quite buggy. I’m talking about checkpoints not loading, and subsequently having to restart the level. Walking through doors and the level hasn’t loaded in so you’re walking in Space, and again required to restart. I have videos I can upload if that would help.
Omg why doesn’t anyone ever talk about alien vs predator that’s literally the best game has three unique campaign mods and an awesome multiplayer mode it’s like people choose to ignore it why AVP legit deserves a sequel it does not deserve to be forgotten LONG LIVE AVP

I don't really get treating xenomorphs as cannon fodder. Like, even ONE is supposed to be a dangerous opponent; fast, strong, agile, and if you shoot it when it's too close, you die a horrible acidic death. Yes, I've seen the movies, I know Marines take them down, but with a heavy cost, and automated turrets, and only a relatively small number. Mowing down hundreds and hundreds of them like zombies just...it seems nothing at all like Alien and is sort of shitting on the IP. I mean, if you changed their physical design of the enemy, would you even peg this as an Alien game, or just another generic space marine-type shooter? Hell, you could change the designs a little and call this a Starcraft shooter fighting the Zerg, and it'd work.
What I took away from this wasn't that it was fucked up, but more along the lines of "What is here is at the very least good, some of it great, some could have been done better but ultimately we just want more." I don't think wanting more of something indicates a fuck up.
Guys I said "kinda" for a reason. Let's not blind ourselves and lets be objective to the fact that right now the game is not exactly as good as it should be... but its still fun. I was just pointing out alot of comments seem to have heard that one line and decided to start a parade....

After Alien: Isolation no game will ever give me an xenomorph more terrifying. This game they terrify by numbers, not because their xenos.
That's how Aliens was.
The Marines kill them by the dozen but they're outnumbered and low on ammo.
So the best way to keep track of alien franchise is. Aliens is more action oriented while alien is more horror themed.

"They set themselves up for failure with horror by having it be in third person"
That's kind of an odd point considering the massive horror success of games like Resident Evil and the much more obvious comparison of Dead Space.
Yeah that points rings very hollow
Third person just removed a bunch of jump scares. You can see behind your character, over obstacles, around walls. Third person in general removes the player from immersion which is okay of for instance you want the player tobe able to see his character
@@Sicknificant1 imagine how bad FEAR would have been in third person lol

@@IP2CxHistorian2 i'm not giving excuses for anything major my guy. Lip flaps are literally bottom priority imo.
@@jeremyroberts8822 They are "modernizing" the game and that's a lot scarier than any necromorph.
I would love a proper queen fight
@@Trip4man it's literally the same thing over and over idk how he thinks this game is good when it's the same boring shit as other games he calls bad.
I feel like Joe's nostalgia kept him from really shitting on the game. This game seems good but way too repetitive. I feel like other Joe and Alex gave more of an honest truly neutral review and helped point out its flaws
I'm gonna wait for the supposed "future free updates" the game has before making my purchase.
What I learned in the past year, with Star Wars Squadron and this game, is that selling your game for $40 grants you a lot of leeway in quality, as well as providing the games for "free" with a monthly subscription.
Joe has this thing where he sometimes lets his fanboyism effect final ratings yeah
@Stefano Pavone Oh absolutely
Don't get me wrong, I love these discussion reviews, but I think you should title them differently.
Yeah I agree, it should be called angry council reviews or something
Yeah made me go straight to the end
I miss the angry review skits
Me and a buddy got this thing on sale for $8. Been having a blast playing it. In the middle of it we both wondered "What did Joe think about it" nice to see he enjoyed it
I've played almost entirely solo, so I've stuck to casual and standard difficulty levels, but I've still been having a blast. I wouldn't go any higher without a consistent group to play with, but in my opinion even without friends there is still a lot of fun to be had here, especially if you are into the Alien franchise at all.
Tbh intense inst hard with randoms
I switched it to public for later missions in campaign mostly because I don't trust ai's
Tbh considering its this studios first game, they have done a pretty good job. Hopefully they can retain the license and produce a second game with a higher budget.
@Mr. Myers Are you saying they will update this game forever and never make a sequel? If not then reread my comment.
@Mr. Myers sequels for computer games happen more frequently that you would think..
@Mr. Myers Agreed!!!
@@mrtoast3319 haven't you been paying attention to gaming recently? Its more likely they will just be providing this game with updates and new content for a while.
@@mrtoast3319 lol

Marines:let’s remove the grenade launcher from the pulse rifle
The game does have a compelling hook to it. It's addictive and I can't put it down despite the repetition. It's extremely glitchy though online with PS4. So many disconnection and other issues.
Have you had any issues with frame rate? I've had a bunch, specially during the final episodes.
Beating the queen mission timer by a single second remaining! Cliché for the win!!!
I mean hopefully future investors see that in give em a bigger budget on there future project
Idk why people talk so much about the background lore, when the actual gameplay and feeling of the game doesnt fit Aliens at all?

if you are not a mouthbreather, you can finish this whole game in 2hs.......the gameplay is so boring and repetitive, the only thing that slows you down in the latter missions is you are fed up and you are just trying to get over it to go on with your life........

@@EdwardGutierrez90 listen this section of their review 14:20 and tell me if this review is not BIASED by saying it's great and a 7/10.....this part is the most honest part, they couldn't help it.
What if they did a boss-battle style with the Queen similar to what they did with Halo 4, where you fight it 3 or 4 times before you kill it for good and at other times when it does randomly show up it switches to an Alien Isolation style horror game?
This review was an emotional rollercoaster. I saw the title and got SUPER excited to see how this game turned out as I was really excited. Then my excitement turned to disappointment with the thumbnail Joe’s angry face… turned on the video and was very happy at the intro plot twist 😂👍👍👍
Same here
same i was dissapointed at first
and i knew the messing us
the game is good but we have to wait upcoming dlc
And the excitement dissipates as Other Joe correctly points out its flaws
This game has made me so happy, it's a ton of fun. I appreciate also they knew it was a smaller game and charged only 39.99 for the base game. My mom and I game together and I bought it for her and I and it's been enjoyable. Glad you enjoyed it Joe!
yo thats awesome you play videogames with your mom. Most moms despise videogames
Yeah that’s really sweet. I also tried to get my dad to play them but he gets dizzy even when the sens is slow because there’s so much going on in games.
@@teemoney9860 Yeah I'm definitely lucky. Mom and I started playing games together regularly when Rainbow Six: Vegas came out back in the day. One of those things where if we wanna play a co op title or multiplayer we just buy two copies haha. As a kid my friends parents would get mad because she was never anti video games and would play with all of us.
@@limeprime9059 That's my Step Dad, he's tried but can't make it more than a few minutes.
I think the best experience with this game is with friends because I’m having a really hard time finding other human players when I want to start a mission. I also encountered several bugs, doors not opening for instance, but the audio bug in particular is frustrating but I’m interested in revisiting this game in a few months to see how it holds up then.
These guys needed to play intense mode. In my opinion that’s where the game shines
This game is definitely at its best on the hardest difficulties
Agreed, not to mention the harder difficulties hide further weapon and skin unlocks
Yep, intense should be standard while standard is simply easy.
Extreme is so fun!
@@ericliljedahl635 sounds intimidating ha
For those of you that want to know more about the story that takes place in Elite Fireteam, the game uses as a background the story of “Alien: Infiltrator” the novel.
That being said I hope a future campaign uses “Alien: Prototype” so we get the Necromorph Xeno.
I think Infiltrator was commissioned as a prequel/tie-in to the game, if I remember reading the marketing blurb right.
Funny you should mention that, because id software was actually negotiable for the licensing until doom happened
Remember this is a game thats is developed by a small group , they already stated that once the game gives them enough profit they will work on future dlcs wish will fix some of the problems and add more content , so im pretty sure we will get to fight the queen , I just hope this game ends up being big with a lot of content and add more players instead of 3
@@rabertoification I rather have an epic battle that can be achive with enough resources than trying to make a mediocre battle with what they can afford at the moment , like I said before this guys work on the game with what they have and they will improve with what they profit
Oh really? That’s great news. Can’t wait to see what this game becomes, as I’m already really enjoying it.
Yeah i found the lack of lip syncing on the NPCs on the marines ship really poor and lazy, I also didn't like the lack of collision in the NPCs... You could walk right through them. Felt like I was on a ship full of telepathic ghosts.
Yeah I'm sure they'll rework him. It's a common complaint.
If you want to heal and be efficient at healing yeah it sucks that having to use your medpack to pick one up to refill it suuuuucks 😂 but area lock down is pretty good.
It requires coordination which you might not get from randoms.
Yeah made even tougher with the no text or voice chat. Can’t let em know you need to do it things that way 🤷 I just try ambush heal em 🤣 before they get there mitts on the medpacks lol.

he didnt play Resident Evil 2 Remake
Actually he did and it's one of his favourite horror games he told us on one of his latest videos, but i get what he is saying, 3rd person just is less scary imo, 1st person horro is more immersive not to mention VR, I didn't even dare finish RE7 in VR and I have played most horror games out there :D
Actually, Alex is a massive Dead Space fan.
They should've took some dead space ideas to save this game.
This company probably had a 100million dollar budget and only used 20 million
When Joe was shooting randomly i was like "OH NO...."
and then plot twist
the game is good but wait for patches and update unlike colonial marines made by gearbox the borderland trash
- Horrible Lag
- Very slow load times
- character mouths don't move when talking
- inability to boot idiotic, inactive players
- no S.H.A.R.P. sticks
- No Sonic Electronic Ballbreakers
The awesome good things are that no micro transactions for better equipment and add ons.
Interesting story.
Worth the $40 if you have reliable friends.
30 dollars shouldve been the price at most
I first saw a video and was like "Nah, thank ya!
Yea forreal how stiff they run and yea first person would've been better
1:33 My reaction to how the One Piece anime handled the bath/onsen scene from the recent episode (ep. 1079) :)
He had me there for a moment with the whole “ya done fucked it up sthick” 😂
My impressions so far. This game is definitely a budget title, and I think it’s definitely not worth more than 20 at most £30.
GOOD /
1)Aliens crawl on ceilings and walls!
BAD /
1)Not much tension for an Aliens game.
You slightly auto crouch when you ads. 😒 sucks
I love how he gently places the face hugger on the ground in front of the queen
You can use the cover against Spitter Aliens too, also to avoid Friendly Fire in higher difficulties. Not only against Synths.
Omg why doesn’t anyone ever talk about alien vs predator that’s literally the best game has three unique campaign mods and an awesome multiplayer mode it’s like people choose to ignore it why AVP legit deserves a sequel it does not deserve to be forgotten LONG LIVE AVP

It is painfully short though, I finished all 3 campaigns withhin an afternoon and morning
Exactly that was like the best collaboration idk why they gave up on that it needs a sequel
@@seanmulligan9082 BRO I’m telling you if they mad that game TODAY with today’s graphics and they used the motion sensor like they did in alien isolation but your playing as a colonial marine bro that game could be the best horror shooter ever bro I remember playing avp for the first time I was actually scared my first play through as a the colonial marine bro
@@christianzilla 👊 they defiantly need to make a sequel to avp and it be cool if you could use the scanner like in isolation and ofc has to be in first person or just have it so people can swap between first and third let players choose how they want to play it ofc I’d only play it in first person
Love how everyone is focusing on that one line, but throughout the review it seems like they did kinda fuck it up lol
Except that’s not really the case.
