@Chrissy Parkhill awesome to hear that sweet pea
Could you please please check out the band Protest the Hero and their song "Bloodmeat?" I'm really really curious to hear your review. It may be out of your comfort zone being progressive metal, but their lead singer is phenomenal. Horribly horribly underrated
Casually skipping over that its about necrophillia lol
@@kevinpage7831 you hear what you hear, but your interpretation is pretty weird. And I would love to hear your source
"Bohemian Rhapsody on Acid" is probably the most accurate description I've heard from someone reacting to this...
Frfr 😂😂
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@ thank you
I can hear that.
Bath Salts. Acid is too gentle.
Without the Rev, we wouldn't have this masterpiece of a song!
R.I.P The Rev!
FoREVer
FoREVer!
True.
The Rev was a musical genius.
FOREVer 🖤
It was really sad for my dad cus he used to go hangout at his house when he was like 9-18
"It's like Bohemian Rapsody on acid."
Best compliment I've ever heard about this song 🤘
and it's pretty accurate.
For sure!!!
I have always compared this song to Bohemian Rhapsody
haha... i've always said this is our generations bohemian rhapsody
Not really ... It was best and next level . they really expert to write this song .. Jimmy ♥️
This reaction was hilarious. Trying so hard to ignore the gruesome story and just appreciate the beautiful vocals and instrumentals, covering your eyes on the blood, I loved it. Thank you for reacting to one of my all time favorite songs
I covered that part of the scream and said, “just don’t look” hehe
Avenged Sevenfold Live in the LBC has this live.
The “fry scream” is the drummer. It’s amazing to watch what he is playing and singing his parts at the same time.
He was an all-time talent that was gone too soon. He wrote A LOT of their songs, and there are videos of him as a kid destroying the drums.
😌
If I could choose to travel back in time to one place and one place only, it would be their Live in the LBC show.
I saw their last show with the rev in SoCal ever, it’s something i’ll never forget
RIP the rev🙏🏻
Thank You for pointing this out!
3:47 when he’s going to pound town on the corps she’s like “that’s beautiful” 😂😂😂😂
I notice that too XD jajaj
I don’t think she was watching the screen during that part. I’m sure the reaction would have been different.
@@davethestu6885 yup and she was hearing the music not listening to the lyrics... Me thinks if she listens again she may have a totally different adjective....
lol
@davethestu I’m aware I just found the the timing funny
You neeeeed to watch the Behind The Scenes of this song being recorded. Amazing content
Came here to say this! Search for "Avenged Sevenfold making the album' A Little Piece of Heaven" to find it.
Yes! I came here to tell her this!
Jimmy being a legend the entire time
@@cassiewinters331 Love Jimmy. :(

Rebecca: "that's beautiful"
They made a four part mega popular movie about this subject. There was a wolf and some beastiality in it too.
@@Frostrazor don't forget canibalism
😂😂😂
I pissed myself laughing when she said that haha
Tbh this is the most fun Ive had watching someone react to this song
The fact “the rev” (drummer) directed this while drunk is honestly insane
Nah dude, it's not insanity, it's pure amazingness
Nah i can believe it lmao
@@DORANGEDMOOCOW its a fine line tbh. Jimmy was both in the greatest ways. Gone way to fkin soon.
makes a lot of sense because it sucks and i hate this song
@@SofiaEhtesham agreed. this song is astoundingly bad
"Bohemian Rhapsody on acid" is probably the best way I've heard A Little Piece of Heaven described and I can't unthink that now 😂 They had a lot of fun recording this song and it almost never became a thing. Definitely check out the behind the scenes if you're able to!
A7X: Murder, necrophilia, cannibalism
RVA: WE’RE HAVING FUN!!
because she not watch on screen
Ive watched a live version where the audience starts cheering and the lead singer Matt's like you all cheering for nacrophilia, what happened at the camp last night lol
it's all about having fun!!! When I first heard this song I thought all songs would sing about the same topic. Years after I saw the making of this video, where the band explain they made this song so grotesque and sadic to celebrate halloween eve
Yeah I hope Boone takes it too serious lol
Hahaha
This song is beautifully sweet....in the most fucked up way possible.
“EAT IT, EAT IT!”
Rebecca: “No we’re not gonna eat it but we will play it back” 😂
Lmaoo 😭
LOL
Haha

Danny Elfman is one of the most underrated musicians of all time by the public and was extremely influential to so many famous musicians
While I know there are others out there, I feel Danny elfman is one of the most iconic people in music, completely and utterly love the nightmare before Christmas music and love the fact he sang Jack skellingtons parts.
Underrated? nah Danny Elfman up there along with John Williams. Both have carved their names as icons in the film industry and both have created absolute masterpieces
@@MaRodney07 His film work is very famous but he's embarrassed about Oingo Boingo and doesn't like it very much, when it was a huge inspiration to a lot of people.
Danny Elfman and John williams are the greatest tv/movie musicians of all time at least to me.
They actually got one of the guys from Oingo Boingo to orchestrate all of the horns and stuff for this, hence why there’s such a Danny Elfman vibe to it.
I appreciate how you, unlike most on RUclips, react to the actual beauty of the melody of this song, rather than the shock value of the video and story of the lyrics.
03:45
A7X: *animated necrophilia*
Rebecca: "That's BEAUTIFUL"
“It’s like the Bohemian Rhapsody on acid,” is quite possibly the best explanation of this song I’ve ever heard. A7X is next level. So many great songs.
Bad country in thas it. Never compare mortal's to God's. Queen is the father of Rock and A7X wanted to be nine inch nails and Alice cooper 😄
@@wyrambatista1488 bro gtfo here avenged is a great band. obviously if you compare everything to bloody QUEEN you’re going to be disappointed.
@@wyrambatista1488 a7x is better than queen imo
That's gonna be a real bad trip wit acid 😂
@@wyrambatista1488 eh. No. Technically they are better than queen. Every member. Freddy may have more range than Matt but matt has wayy more power and rasp. Rest of the instruments aren't even comparable.
I love how Rebecca is trying to completely ignore the shock value. lol
I was hoping she would question why a heater was needed for her thighs then suddenly realize WHAT was being done to the body.
@@MySecretDisease same. I didn’t get that until know. 😬👀
This is basically avenged sevenfold version of bohemian rhapsody. Such a work of art. We got to thank Jimmy “the Rev” Sullivan for coming up with this masterpiece of a song. Jimmy “the rev” Sullivan was a mad man and a lyrical genius!! RIP to the GOAT on the drums. M Shadow vocal and range is beautiful and perfect sounded. The fact this is had little guitar and more of a theater feel is awesome. This song is perfect and I love it
She absolutely loved Rev's vocals.
Please react to this song live; "A little piece of heaven live in LBC" even better than the studio version imo.
Is Not..on studio version Jimmy so fucking genius
Dude that entire album was incredible.
pls
This for sure! Matt is on a whole nother level then
UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
The band actually has videos of the recording process of this song. The band all recorded the backing vocals. The glass smashing is actually them just throwing bottles, and two main voices are the singer and then the drummer who has passed away. Jimmy (drummer) was a musical genius. They put 110% into all of their music and they're worth taking a deep dive into. They have their own style and it's just beautiful.
This was Jimmy's masterpiece, without a doubt! I love A7X, such a unique band!
@@Rudromukherjeenerv definitely a masterpiece but Brompton cocktail and fiction are close runner ups for me.
@@mrich998 you are mentioning all my fav songs of A7X!
@@georgepopescu977 they have so many good ones!
The lead guitarist also has some vocals in little piece of heaven
The lead vocals were sung by the lead singer M. Shadows, their drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan sang the parts at 3:32 as well as 6:40 and also sang the chorus parts with M. Shadows at 12:35. The song was written by Jimmy Sullivan who was very influenced by Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo. This is by far one of my favorite pieces of music ever.
Steve Bartek from Oingo Boingo actually composed the horns arrangements. 😎🖤
really just leaving Zacky out of it. rude
Late drummer, sadly
Yes!!!! I was super impressed she picked up Danny elfman!
RIP Jimmy
This is such a fun song, seriously. It's so dark and goofy but I love it so much. The band's drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, who sadly passed away in 2009, wrote this song and sang co-lead vocals on it. If you want more of his lead contributions, "Critical Acclaim" and "Fiction" are always good ones--the latter contains his final vocal performance before his death.
Love your reaction.
My favorite part of Fiction is that M. Shadows mimics Rev, it's a beautiful homage to a beautiful soul.
foREVer
Keynote if you’re reading this Rebecca, The Rev did the gravely(screaming vocal) he did backing vocalsand screaming on most songs all while playing drums, he wrote and sang unholy confessions. He sadly passed away in 2009, whenever they play this piece they dedicate it to the rev.
What unfortunate timing for her, but comedic for us. Closes her eyes because of the heart and stabbing, lost in the music and says "That's beautiful" at the same time it shows her body bouncing in the bed.
Mayb she already knew about it
"Tonight the world dies" is one of the great examples of how great shadows' voice is. "Trashed and scattered" as well and "the stage" too
Tonight the world dies is one of my all time favorites of theirs for real
Not just "Trashed and Scattered"... the whole 2nd half of "City of Evil" album really.
The Stage is so beautiful, hard, and sad at the same time.
Tonight the world dies it’s such an unrated song. Wish they play it more on live performances one for my fave songs from A7x
@@nightsgrow6575 same dude, natural born killer is amazing too
This is why I love this channel - RVA says she’s getting emotional about the melody and musicality as Matt starts to sing about murder and necrophilia 😂. Brilliant as always Rebecca
Right!?
That's my kind of vibe and i dont know what to think about it honestly 🤔
@@dzonybajlando9270 if you dont know what to think about it you probably need therapy lmao
At the same time, no it isnt. 100% of people that say things lile that have never seen death
@@SpaceEmperorGenos 99.9%
There's always an exception. Also, that's clearly not what they mean't. They mean't ignoring the murder and necrophilia and getting emotional from the melody. Nothing edgy about that.
I firmly believe this is one of the greatest songs ever written and it's criminal not enough people know about it.
It made me feel so good to see you so passionately falling into this song. It is an absolute masterpiece.
The best live version you'll find is Live in LBC. Also as some others have suggested, if you get a chance, check out the behind the scenes/making of. They really did have a lot of fun with it!
Live version gives me chills, this song is so perfect to me
This is propably the best reaction to this song. Too many ppl focus on the video itself but she is feeling and breaking down the music. Love it.
The fact that she can just instantly point out the Danny Elfman horns they used is amazing
Not so much "amazing", more like "obvious af".
Look up this song in the “Live in LBC” concert. They play this as the encore and it’s a brilliant performance of the song. From what I’ve gathered watching your channel I know you will adore that video.
This is probably the best mixes of music and vocal styles I’ve ever heard. You have rock, jazz, theater or opera, ska and heavy metal all in one space.
They performed this song live on their “live in LBC” video. Whole show was killer. Should give it a watch and enjoy.
"It's like Bohemian Rhapsody on acid" is by far the best phrase i've heard to describe this song
fun fact: Steve Bartek, Danny Elfman's longtime collaborator and former bandmate in Oingo Boingo, did the horn arrangements for this song.
This song is one of the only ones that features Jimmy "The Rev" singing as well, he's doing the "Kermit" lines, when the couple is dying
Fiction
It’s the vocal fry at about 11 minutes iirc
Critical Acclaim is him as well
RIP Jimmy
Crossroads?
Saw them live right after Nightmare released. Their first song they had what looked like a guy doing lights thirty feet above the stage "accidentally" fall. He stopped short of falling with a noose around his neck. Hung there for the entire first song.....just kind of swaying. Amazing band live.
I came here to say this. It wasn't my first time seeing them but it sticks. A7X foREVer
Fantastic reaction as ever...I love the way you practically ignored the video , most reactors are just horrified... but you did the right thing and just listened to the beautiful music master piece....5 stars Rebecca, nice one 😁
They almost always perform this live however it is something you have to wait for and Encore for! All of the true fans stay around because we know it is coming and everyone else usually leaves! But the lead singer M. Shadows has some of the best crowd control I have ever seen! He has the whole crowd chanting the “Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!” Parts and they whole crowd also sings the “choir” part just for the wedding scene and it is absolutely AMAZING! You would love one of their shows for sure!! I have seen them 4 times myself!💜🤘🏻
💜💜💜🤘
You should definitely check out A Little Piece of Heaven Live in the LBC, the live version is just 100X better!!!
Having “fun” playing with his voice while telling a very serious, sad, and telling story. Just shows more of this bands personality.. Please do more avenged sevenfold. It’s so comforting to see someone acknowledge the lyrics, vocals, and instrumentals.
But honestly it WAS made just for fun. Watch the making of video. The Rev had a song idea for a Halloween album they wanted to do and they quite literally recorded it for fun. So she was exactly right.. It just happens to also tell a really good story. you don't have to look for more meaning where there is none for it to still be a really great and well written song.
Every member of the band has a part of vocal in this song🔥
She’s the only person ive heard mention the band ‘madness’ they’re such a fun band
This song is one of the most amazing performances ive ever seen live. RIP Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. This song was his masterpiece.
"Bohemian rhapsody on acid" 😂😂😂😂I love it lol.
I genuinely adore your reaction and breakdown to Avenged Sevenfold / your overall outlook on Metal as a whole ! Time after time i've seen and read so many ignorant comments about how Metal has no substance, meaning, depth and it's all "screaming without substance" and it's a breath of fresh air seeing the opposite of that because it's exactly that / what you have said in general !
Bands like A7X, Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon etc, all stellar showcases of powerhouse vocals and the range of depth, specially Corey Taylor of Slipknot, from say his other band Stone Sour, the contrast in the growls to clean vocals is just droppingly nuanced and diverse !
I'd definitely recommend Gunslinger, Seize the Day, Afterlife(Full Studio Version), Bat Country, Beast and the Harlot, Nightmare, Far Away, Fiction, just some of the songs that display's Matt's vocal range !
The Rev wrote the best music ever and this one has been my favorite song for 13 years because it is so well made! And as she says, it could have easily been a Tim Burton production
Okay, your reaction to hearing the music then watching the video again is 100% priceless. This is why I adore you. Your innocence and genuine reaction is the best.
"Right before his eyyyyyes" Kermit the Frog is actually the drummer, The Rev. I absolutely loved his vocals!
A little piece of Heaven live LBC is what you’re wanting to see
My favorite live performance of all time.
I got to see A7X perform this song on stage and it is truly a special experience
The funniest thing is that a lot of the crazier vocals were done by the drummer, The Rev. He refused to record vocals sober. So it's really interesting to see you break down technique of how he was singing considering he was drunk and goofing around lol Shows the true talent of Jimmy Sullivan.
I love your reaction, much appreciated. I've loved A7X for years now so when I came upon this video I thought it was a reaction to more of the animation and story telling of the song. But your input to the song itself is graciously accepted because it tells me of how awesome A7X is; singing and musical talent.
This is probably my favorite song ever, such a masterpiece. RIP Jimmy.
This song is so deceptive to the people that dont actually hear the story.
my mates mum loved it until she actually stopped and heard it oneday since then its "been turn it off!!"
My mother was like that WITH Bullets from Hollywood Undead.
Fun fact this was originally supposed to be on a Halloween album but the the record label liked it so much they talked them in to putting this on they’re regular album.
7:21 Jimmy Sullivan (The Rev) the drummer of A7x indeed sing this part live, while playing the drum.
Honestly he did a great job, I can't find when he sing that part with earthquaky voice because playing the drum, everytime, always in perfect vocal.
edit : obviously he sing all his part while playing the drum on live stage.
If only we could have had a song with The Rev and Chester just letting those beautiful vocals go. A cross over between LP and A7X would have been a dream come true
Probably my favorite A7X song. And such a blast to see this live. Being among 20k-30k at Carolina Rebellion with everyone around me singing along too, so much fun!!
Such a beautiful love story that includes murder, cannabalism and necrophilia. :)
Bohemian Rhapsody on acid is the most outstanding description I've ever heard.. the priest with the vocal fry is the guitarist Zacky V
This same song live at LBC. Imo better than the original version
One of the best metal songs ever created.
A7X: playing a song with morbid and dark lyrics
RVA: "Oh! That's beautiful"
😂👌👌
Their live performance of this is amazing. Lead singer sounds exactly like he does in the studio live.
a little piece of hevean live in the lbc is amazing performance every one sings
Omg I almost passed put seeing the title of this vid. A7x KNOW what they're doing with vocal arrangements.. always been impressed with their songs
One of my duty stations in the Army was Fort Gordon, Georgia. I used to frequently drive around with this album (mainly this song) on full blast, on post, with my windows down, and my subwoofer all the way up, and I would get the weirdest looks. Sometimes people would look over and give me the devil horns/rocker sign, and then hear the lyrics and go "wait what" and their hand would slowly and limply fall away like "what did I just salute this guy for? Oh no".
My friends knew, if they got into my car and this album wasn't playing, I was probably not having a good day.
Avenged sevenfold: live in the LBC best live performance of this song you’ll find
You should react to Seize the day by Avenged Sevenfold.
Also, their drummer(rip) wrote this song. He passed away years ago sadly. He was a great musician who could play multiple instruments well
They've mentioned Danny elfman as an influence and this song definitely shows that
Finally a reaction that focus on their musicality, not their music video
M. Shadows' vocal coach happened to also be Axl Rose, you can strongly tell by the tone he employs in a ton of A7x tracks, it shares a lot of similarities with GNR's early styles.
That explains so much wowow
They are incredible live and the singer basically never misses a note! Incredible band!
I think you’d benefit from watching the “behind the scenes”of this particular song. The band released a documentary of the making of the album this song is on and it shows the amount of work they put into the album and how much fun they had making this particular song.
- Rebecca: Oww, what's happening now?
That's Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, the drummer, and one of the most amazing vocals who walked this earth.
I see the REV laughing and smiling!!!!!
Seen this band 3 times live. Only once did they play this out of those 3. It was absolutely amazing
I love watching people react to this song since it is so ridiculously beautiful. I have been to two A7x shows and they performed this song both times. This band puts EVERYTHING into their live shows which is obvious from the moment the lights dim.
They have an amazing behind the scenes video of them making this song you should watch it!
you're getting that danny elfman vibe because they used his horn players
And his orchestrator.
"it goes on and on and on!"
RVA: "that's beautiful!" 🤭
I saw a7x back on 2014 when Mayhem Feast was still going. They're set was the best I saw that day. I was a bit disappointed when they ended they're show because they didn't play this song. So I started a "one more song" chant in the lawn section of the amphitheater and pretty soon the whole crowd was chanting along. They came back out and played they're hearts out for this song. I was a happy lad afterwards.
I'm so glad you reacted to Avenged Sevenfold! They're truly a really great artist.
12:35 The high voice was made by Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, he was the drummer and vocal chorus, sadly he already passed away :(
rip 🤯😢😭
Watched them sing this live on Halloween. Was phenomenal. Sadly the Rev had already passed so wasn't blessed with his crazy vocals.
Fun fact, the one doing the hermit the frog voice was sang by their drummer, I'm not sure if it was done in 1 take, but I know he was completely drunk during the recording of this lol.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for breaking the actual music down and how amazing this sounds! Most reactors are all put off by the music video itself! This song was brilliantly done! The different instruments, the melody, all wonderful!
Picking this apart vocally, Shad's and Rev beautifully exsicuting the chorus, the 2 of you just bringing this together, and then Syn n Zachy breathing the life into the fulness of the song!!! There is nothing these guys guys can't make sound amazing!!!
Your ability to dissect a piece of music is unparalleled! You rock. Also and excellent choice of song. Side note...Nice plant in the corner.
You can do anything from Avenged Sevenfold, They are an amazing band that is incredible live.
It would be so cool, if you'd react to "making of Avenged Sevenfold " or even one live version of this song!
Welcome back, Rebecca. It is more than a pleasure to be with you again for a reaction video. Love from here!
First video of yours I've seen, and I'm so glad it was this song, and so glad you appreciated this masterpiece for what it is!
I'm a huge Avenged fan and I'd say, hand on heart, this is the best piece of music they've made by far!
Last Halloween they did a very indepth breakdown of the song. It's very interesting to hear them talk about a song they wrote so many years ago. Definitely worth a watch.
Where can I watch it? Is it on YT?
Yeah. Just type in Avenged Sevenfold A Little Piece of Heaven breakdown. There's a whole series of songs they did
@@mnelinelson Thank you
Great reaction and thank you for doing this as I forgot about this masterpiece of a song. You should do Warmness on the Soul next
3:45 "That's beautiful" - I lol'd hard.
Gotta love that the Rev (drummer) was the second vocalist for this, RIP still missed
