Beryl, how do you even do that? Your content is so feel-good and heartwarming, yet it never, ever feels too sappy, kitschy or exaggerated. This episode takes the cake - most YT creators would just shove the sentimentality down the viewers' throats, but somehow this was so authentic I just cried. Please, please, never change. Thanks for a great Valentine Day's gift ❤
I wholeheartedly agree. I had a very difficult day with possibly life-altering consequences health wise. The last thing I would have wanted to watch would have been something cheesy and sappy. What I got was heartwarming and uplifting human connection, and a reminder, that there is happiness to be found even in small things like a shared meal with someone you love.
I don't know if it's cos I'm pregnant or the authenticity of the cross-cultural couples talking about their love, but I am crying so hard. Your videos are so WHOLESOME I can't deal.
The Filipino couple reminded me so much of my recent visit to my parents. My mom has rapidly advancing dementia and my dad is struggling with this first stage of losing her. Multiple times he mentioned missing her cooking, as she can't do it anymore - and it's because they have been together since they were teenagers and no one knows each other the way they do. Everything my mom fixed for him was made with her love, and that can't be replicated. Food is love.
I'm only as far as the first recipe, but, whoever you hired to do the camera work in Vancouver did a great job! If the rest of them look as good, this is going to be one heck of an episode
I'm from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu but now live in San Francisco. And watching Abhinaya put deep fried croutons in her biryani took me back to the meals at my elementary school canteen. I hadn't seen deep fried croutons in biryani outside of Tamil Nadu and had entirely forgotten about it. But this video took me back to my childhood ❤
What a wonderful episode! I really hope Lauren & Christopher are able to get their sponsorship squared away. They're clearly meant to be together, in every sense of the word.
Beryl….I love the way you make me get sooooooooo emotional while watching your videos. These stories, the couples, the feelings, the recipes were just plain wonderful. This was a very special one. I love you…MOM🥰🥰❤
She's pretty darned awesome, isn't she! I don't recommend channels often, but for food, it's her and Max Miller; for sheer positivity, it's her and Katie at Royalty soaps. Her talent and heart are an unbeatable combination.
You're a food ambassador Hon! Your channel brings the world together by ignoring differences and focusing on our similarities. I love the fact that you don't come off as a chef who makes no mistakes. You admit when you didn't do something correctly or even when you don't like something. Beryl you're a gem! I would watch anything that you focus on here. I like when you take a staple item like rice, eggs or cucumbers and show how they're made and used (like medicine or to show love) in different countries. 😊
The filming, the editing, even the dedication to credit everyone in the notes & providing all sources??? This is why Beryl's channel will always be my favorite place on RUclips. This episode is above & beyond. The local film teams really helped bring each recipe & couple alive for us. You can feel the love and care that went into creating this episode. Thank you so much, to Beryl and everyone on her team. May you all always be surprised and delighted with your food. ❤🍲🍝🧆
THANK YOU for highlighting couples who are not just straight. As a pan person, I almost cried when I saw the sausage pasta segment. These love stories are SO important. Thank you, thank you
I don't usually leave comments, although I've been following a channel for a long while. But here, the work, the effort, the quality, the message - I just think that so so much more people deserve (and maybe need) to see this! Thank you for all your work and all the glimpses into onther peoples worlds!
This is an amazing episode Beryl. You’re really going deep with your episode concepts lately. They’re so heartwarming and feel good. After watching I feel like I’m part of something, I feel loved, positive and I go out into the world friendly and giving ❤
The line from the Britsh couple, "I love you so much, that I would peel shallots for you" made me laugh out loud. It's similar to a game my husband and I would play when we were a young couple. We would try to one up each other with outrageously silly responses. 💞❣️❣️❣️
Everything about this video is just so wholesome! From the videos of the couples to Beryl inviting us to see who she shares her cooking with! Also love the new direction of Beryl showing us the cooking instead of the usual top view angle! 🎉
Oh this one was so sweet! It’s beautiful to see everyone’s love expressed in these simple interactions! My husband is from Northern Ireland and I’m from the west of Scotland. We met in the military 15 years ago and got married ten years ago. My mother had a stroke and moved in with us and our two children in 2017. Hubby and I are both paramedics so to keep things easier for childcare we work alternate shifts. So I work Thursday to the following Wednesday then he works that Thursday to the following Wednesday. That way there is one of us home every day to help my mum and look after the kids. So we really don’t get much time together at all. We have to book holidays from work to spend time as a family. But that means that when we are off together we make the effort to cook together. Usually nothing complicated but good steak, baked potatoes and veggies. It’s how we say we love and miss each other whilst still being stupidly busy. Also being typically reserved Scots/Irish we’re not big on verbal declarations! But cooking his steak how he likes it is my way of letting him know he’s always in my heart and mind.
Alright, I was NOT feeling Valentine's Day this year. But this is such a wholesome video and reminds me how grateful I am for my partner and how much he loves my cooking.
Beryl...I don't know how you do it. This along with your whole collection of videos is beautiful. You truly have a gift of storytelling. Thank you for sharing your passion, your craft and your kind spirit for the world to see.
Love getting the opportunity to hear everyone's beautiful love stories💞 The dishes looked very yummy. What a special episode and perfect for the day😊 Happy Valentine's Day to all!
You are a gift to this world. You're not a content creator, You are an artist. Thank you for all of the work you put into every video! Your work is so perfect, yet you are so easy to connect with! I swear I make food and pretend you are trying it, so I critique it like you would, lol
Beryl said ✨ BUDGET ✨ The couple from the philippines look so carefree and fun! And they look soooo in love! But i could be biased cos im from the philippines as well 😂
Beryl you are PAMPERING us with this content! And thank you for hiring filmmakers in the communities. This was beautiful. Happy Valentines Day everyone!
Beryl!! As you say at the end, this clearly looked like a labor of love but it totally came through the screen. I loved the extra angle of seeing you cook the dishes in your kitchen and, while I’m sure hiring crews around the world isn’t always an option, it was such a wonderful little spotlight into some special people in this community. Thank you for doing this, it was a joy to watch.
Beryl - WOW. I am blown away. I don’t know how you pulled this off. Having film crews come to these viewers was a brilliant idea and made this so special. They all did a beautiful job telling these stories. You must be so proud of the finished product! I loved learning about all of these couples. Great work my friend ❤❤
This level of wholesomeness is **unparalleled** I hope this is the right word, I googled it haha. Your videos are always next level, this one just made me well up a little. The dog.. Beryl. I mean.. Great example of how you impact us 💕 It's like that little extra blanket whenever it's a little too cold. You've really helped me during the past few years, I wish I could show you somehow. All I can say for now is thank you so so soooo much!! Really means a lot 💜 Big hug from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🤗
I really liked this video. It is an inspiring twist to your beloved format (don't EVER abandon what we've grown to love). Your usual format includes the recipe originator describing it. Great. Love it. This kind of 'extended' format should be included 'every-so-often'. I appreciate the effort it takes to coordinate this across time and distance. So, you know, every-so-often; perhaps with varying themes. Love how you mixed it up for us!
This channel is like a breath of fresh air! Beryl never ever fail to amaze me. The way all their stories were portrayed by their foods, it's soo amazing to see! I loved all the recipes and the backstories. Honestly made my day! Imma try all these at home. Happy Valentine's Day y'all ♥️💗
Beryl, i'm literally crying the entire time i watch this! great job! it reminded me so much of my relationship with my boyfriend, we've been together for 7 years and we met in our highschool. we were highschool lover. He loves to cook and I can't cook at all. He loves to give me new dishes to try and even take me to new restaurants around town. This episode definitely makes me feel nostalgic. I love this, and I love you.
WHAT LOVELY COUPLES. Colorful, mixed, diverse. Just like Beryl and her husband. Just like my wife and me. I am glad to live today where people from all over the globe mix.
Okay I love every episode you put out, but this one REALLY touched my heart and made me tear up several times. What beautiful stories, that were so beautifully captured. Bravo, Beryl!!
Listening to Jeff describe his experience with preparing the food,as well as sharing the food with someone special to him just made me appreciate more all the meals I prepare for and share with the people close to my heart. Plus, listening to him express how deep his sentiments are in Bisaya (the English translation weren't able to fully capture the profoundness) made it more relatable.
Your videos are literally like a breath of fresh air I'm in the school library and I really needed a break from studying and this video took me away with all the beautiful stories.Thank you for all of your work on this channel.
Wow, this was an impressive episode. I'm sure it took a lot of work to bring it together. TY to everyone who shared. TY to Beryl for her wonderful channel.
Even as a cynical perma-single, I loved this episode - so nice to get a professionally filmed look into the lives of others in this lovely community we share built around food and curiousity about the world and the amazing people in it.
I was on the verge of tears this entire episode. This is so incredibly beautiful - love and food is a common factor for everyone and brings us all together. Beautiful work.
This is my favorite episode! My husband and I are interracial and this reminds me of the differences between our family but the beauty that food brings us together. Thank you Beryl!
Beryl, you spoil us! I thought your video quality before was incredible, but this has topped the charts! Thank you for always going above and beyond for the channel!💕🙏
I would love to have Beryl for a neighbor. I have a fantastic neighbor that does share her excellent veggie soup, ham and beans, and other typical Midwestern comfort foods but it would great to experience the interesting dishes that Beryl makes.
It's wild how literally every video you produce is the best video I ever watch. This is like a favorite TV show now and I always look forward to the next episode! And this one was so amazingly special, heaven knows we need all the reminders we can get that there is still beauty that exists in humanity, and your videos are perfect for that purpose! And what better medium exists than FOOD??
On this special day I want to tell you Beryl how much I love sharing weekly meals with you. You make make me laugh, you also make me cry happy tears sometimes. I am so grateful for the love you share with us through your videos!
An amazing episode, with incredible couples too! Hopefully, by the time next Valentine's comes around, I'll have someone special to share my cooking with! x
Hi Beryl, lots of love all the way here in the Philippines. You know what, I REALLY LOVE THIS TYPE OF PRESENTATION! (and I know it could be a lot difficult to compile all of those videos). It is very refreshing and wonderful to see the sender's own stories! I don't know if you or your audience will have difficulty in producing these videos, but for me, THIS VIDEO PRESENTATION IS THE BEST ONE YET!!!
This was an absolutely amazing episode! Loved seeing more of the couple's stories, and how food connects them even with completely different backgrounds ❤
I’ve told you this before, but you always put a smile on my face! The « Hi! I,m Beryl! » always makes my day better! Who knew this channel would turn out the way it did!? I’ve been a fan since the very beginning and I ain’t going anywhere! 😂 Thanks for being who you are and keep bringing people together through food and human stories!
This was so cute! Really warmed my single heart on Valentines Day. Seeing your neighbour was so fun! How about a dinner party episode where you invite your neighbours and cook dinner party foods/drinks from different countries?
Beryl! Hi! If it's not already in the queue, I would love a dinner party episode! I love cooking but get so intimidated when it's for a group of friends. What do I make as a main? What sides? Do I need dessert? You seem to do it with such ease! I always love your content and am so thankful to be able to turn to you you and your channel.
It always warms my heart to see genuine content. You can tell a lot of work was put into this, not for the clicks and views but because she was inspired to make it. Very rare nowadays!!!
Wowwww Beryl…. The fricken quality, time and effort that went into this episode is clear. I love your story telling style and all your content, but this one! Chefs kiss 😙👌🏾
I'm only 2 dishes in, but thank you so much for the heads up about needing to soften store-bought paneer! I've worked with it a few times before and never knew that. That explains why the texture was always different. (As much as I like this format, and I really do, NGL, I miss the little screen with the name of the dish, the country, and a list of all the ingredients.) Edit: now that I've finished the episode, you asked what we'd like to see. YT suggested I watch the video where you're cooking with your mom next; have you done a "cooking with dad" episode? My dad's always been the chef of my parents' househoold. My mother's not much of a foodie (and will admit it freely) & hates to cook. My dad can take 30 minutes & whatever's in the cabinet and whip up something delicious. He's really good at improvisational cooking and apparently I inherited his skill.
Thank you for this beautiful episode. In the times of hatred towards interracial and queer couples, this episode made me very emotional and hopeful! I appreciate this so much!
Thank you to everyone for sharing your beautiful love stories and the meals that are special to you! It just goes to show that no matter who you are or where you're from, we can all connect and express our love through food ❤️
I absolutely love your channel. I am an arm chair chef and love to watch people make yummy food. I love the fact that you bring people to a dish and help us explore new cultures. Thank you.
Oh this episode is so special. How sweet to share a recipe after your mother is gone. And the couple that met in medical school! That is awesome. Love how unique love can be, especially across cultures.
Ah Beryl, this was so so beautiful. Food, love, community, sharing (like you with your neighbours, friends and family). It was so heartwarming to watch and a reminder of the many forms that love takes. I really think this is the best video you've made yet. Beautiful
You always know what our hearts want. Beryl 😍 Heather's sausage pasta reminds me of the first dish I ever made after I left home for college. I was a poor student, typical, so meat was expensive, and we only had a little cooker at the dorm. Rice was cheap, sausage was cheap, tomato sauce I had made by my mom sooo... rice and sausage with tomato sauce was born. The first time I cooked it at home, my family loved it except my dad. He didn't want to even taste it because it was white like the pilaf he made ... but I caught him eating straight from the pot later 😅 now I must make it again , thank you for bringing back my memories. Also, the smoked sausages in Romania are similar to the Polish ones so I understand why Heather's pasta is so appreciated 😋
Agreed 💯
She does that....love her for it! ❤
A hundred percent!
Man, I just came here to say this. She fills my heart with joy with her content. Keep going, girl!
I don't know if it's cos I'm pregnant or the authenticity of the cross-cultural couples talking about their love, but I am crying so hard. Your videos are so WHOLESOME I can't deal.
Nah it's not just your pregnancy hormones. I'm a man and tearing up. It's just so lovely.
I was gonna say I cried the whole time too!
I was definitely also crying! It was so beautiful!
Its both 😅

I hope so too. Very cute couple. If the worst happens, her laugh Will haunt him until he can be together with her again. It’s a very beautiful laugh.
I appreciate that Beryl spreads "wealth." It always seems like she's looking for ways to help her fellow creators

This should have been a Netflix Documentary. OMG!!! 🙌🏼
Let's not get netflix involved pls. Lol
The Filipino couple reminded me of my parents. The way they tease and compliment each other is so loving and sweet.
So why did I start crying at Kelli and Heather? Thanks for showing beautiful families of so many different types ❤
THANK YOU for highlighting couples who are not just straight. As a pan person, I almost cried when I saw the sausage pasta segment. These love stories are SO important. Thank you, thank you

This one definitely had me crying over my coffee this morning. Great job, Beryl and everyone who worked on this video!

This video is so special. Thanks to everyone for putting this together!
Why hasn’t she reached a million already. Forget a million she should be on TV with her own show. or a Netflix special. You’re amazing!❤❤❤❤
I’m literally crying 🥹 this is such a beautiful episode. I loved each & everyone of the stories/couples🥰
Beryl!
I love how inclusive your channel is. I learn about different cultures, foods and people. I appreciate the diversity on ALL fronts.
Love the video! The Nigerian boy and the Indian girl were probably my favorite couple but they all had heartwarming things to them.
one of my absolute favourite videos from this channel, and it makes sense that someone as kind and thoughtful as Beryl came up with the idea.
Wowwww Beryl…. The fricken quality, time and effort that went into this episode is clear. I love your story telling style and all your content, but this one! Chefs kiss 😙👌🏾
All of these recipes look so good! Plus, it was so nice seeing these couples and their stories. What an awesome idea!
I love how you're introducing the idea of sharing food with our neighbors.
Thank you to everyone for sharing your beautiful love stories and the meals that are special to you! It just goes to show that no matter who you are or where you're from, we can all connect and express our love through food ❤️
This is the only time I am ok with Paneer Biryani. The couple looks so sweet
Such a cute episode ❤
More episodes on what to do with leftovers Ingredients!!!
I absolutely love your channel. I am an arm chair chef and love to watch people make yummy food. I love the fact that you bring people to a dish and help us explore new cultures. Thank you.
This is the most beautiful episode - Beryl you are such a light in this world 💕
This episode is very special. Beautiful! full of love. Needless to say, I cried several times.
I cried too, but happy tears 🥲
Beryl, this was an absolutely beautiful episode filled with lovely couples. Please make this an annual episode idea for Valentine’s Day. ❤
