I can't believe how much life swarm brought back so many wardens.
Wardens only have 1hp so there kinda easy to get rid of
Dragon stormcast conversions are super cool.
I usualy cant watch br for the life of me but these are so nicely edited that they are really enjoyable to watch and a good size to not spend half a day for 1 video. Really like it keep em coming!
Wouldn't the shrine still give you re-rolls without a shrine guardian? And wouldn't it be beneficial to still take it to have an additional terrain piece to block a flank?

Just a reminder that Rally and Thunderbolt Volley are both hero phase command abilities, so you can't do both on the Judicators in the same turn. Also, sniping the general turn one and casting Total Eclipse is just mean. Even if Carl had gotten the double for round 2, unless he also succeeded Heroic Leadership he still wouldn't have been able to use Thunderbolt Volley.
Just had to look this up. That would have been crazy. There’s also a wind spell to shut down a unit from using cp

Good discussion at the end. That Mirrorshield artifact is key for Stormcast heroes. Sentinels and mirror match Stormcast Judicators / Raptors are notable threats, but not the only ones from range.
Awesome battle report! This is my first time seeing Jordan's kitbashed Teclis and wow does he look sinister floating off in the distance. Perfection with this colour scheme.
Another great game guys! Note to self: Whenever playing SCE against Lumineth, put Mirrorshield on my Relictor.

My first time here but certainly I'll be lurking from time to time. Great vid format guys! The best one for me - relatively short and in case of battle reports - very short one, which is on plus. To add more to it - superb highlights of units targeted by spells or abilities. Really simple solution and yet fantastic, another one is descriptions at the bottom of the screen. But there are some small minuses - the camera shakes from time to time and sometimes is out of focus and there's too much light on the left side. You can work on these technical aspects and your videos will be even better. Overall awesome job guys.

Wow Jordan you were one priority roll away from getting wiped imo. Did you win the rolloff to go first as well? I keep losing the roll off in these matches at GTs and Teclis is dead before I get my first turn. I need more Season of War dice clearly!
Saw the weakness of the judicators with the reduced range IMO. Longstrikes are squishy but the added range makes them so much more of a threat in a shooting v. shooting match. Yeah, it's less of an issue on most other plans and against most other opponents...but when it comes up, it makes a massive difference.
+1 to this , being able to shoot at all is better than not being able to with that 6" difference , btw can t stormcast have the spell that grant 5+ward or that +6" shooting range like the lumineth had? why SC faction spell have to be so medicore......although against lumineth it probably won t matter because they will have way more unbide than their opponent.
Loving the format of the show so far.
Great battle report, and I love playing The Vice. This is such a unique mission for scoring battle tactics, it really makes you rethink your normal strategies.

no offense , but lumineth have like 1300 point-ish left on the board contrast to stormcast 400-ish where all of their DPS unit is gone. score don t matter because at this point stormcast don t have anything left to do any kill-relate battle tactic while the lumineth is close to table the stormcast.
Fantastic job Jordan, was looking a bit sketchy at the beginning, but I learnt a lot from the spell combinations and positioning for my own games. :D

Amazing report at always... i have been eyeing that lumineth paintjob for a while now and i have to ask - do you have a painting guide or paint list for it somewhere? I am dying to know which colours you used and whether or not oil washes were involved. :)
I'm guessing you posted in the FB LRL Group, but if I'm mistaken here it is again:
This was the process for the red:
- Vallejo Burnt Red base coat
- AK Streaking grime/rust mix (roughly 50/50)
- Moslty cleaned the s grime binus the recesses
- VJ Flat Red stippled mid color
- AK Burnt Orange stippled highlight
The colors are just what I happen to have/use, the main thing would be the process/application order.
Also worth noting I know some people prefer the more muted look, so you could sip that final burnt orange highlight if you wanted (Y)

Nice competitive game - thanks for uploading! I feel like it would have been a terribly short one if Carl had gotten the double turn, so I'm glad it went the distance.
I'm curious why Lumineth has not placed higher at events, especially LVO. Is it that most people are not capable of generaling as well as Jordan? Or is it that most armies have a pre-determined counter-plan in mind when facing Lumineth?
Jordan has probably played Lumineth better than anyone else I've watched. They have so many tricks that you almost reach the point of "analysis paralysis" and just can't decide what to do - this rings especially true when Teclis is in the army. Almost like playing Sylvaneth, only much stronger of course... :D Cheers!

Absolutely awesome battle report. I thought it was looking bad for the LRL after that first turn but wow Teclis and emerald life swarm shenanigans just kept them alive enough to get those big units off the board and take control. I really like the play style of teleporting around the board with the sentinels and Teclis. One question I had is whether you’d consider 20,10 wardens instead did 10,10,10 as then lifeswarm could maybe keep the big unit alive against enemy shooting? Your probably always going to lose one unit but maybe not the second if it was reinforced?

The objectives are on the border of your territory, not wholly within it - so 100% legal!

(in the sense that half of the goal would be on a place where the playing field does not exist), in fact watching your games and knowing that you play in several tournaments (indeed 2 absolute in the Canadian "achievements") I was wondering how you consider it to yours tournaments

You always measure from the center which in this case is the corner.
If I made a marker or model with a right angle and put it in the corner its wholly within. The coin marker miniature etc can be moved and has 0 purpose beside decoration and a reminder.

@@godlyness2811 to my admission, any point is always part of a line, having said that the points can be only inside or completely outside, having said that if the rule says that all the target points along an edge are not entirely within, even the corner points should be considered not entirely within. then maybe it's not like that .. in fact I was wondering how thoughtful he is in your tournament circuit

Guys maybe im the only player in the world but I think that syar is overrated. Zaitrec is better, you are able to cast your key spell very easy! About the question arcane tome on relictor, I suggest to try tauralon/ knight draconis with scint trail mount trait! The -1 to dispel help so mutch! Gj for the report!!

Just with the terrain/mission I felt it would get in my way more than it would help with this list!
I dont understand Carl's overly conservative play with stromdrake / two units of vindictors. Should have committed them into melee asap, stormdrake should have charged the lord regent as soon as turn 2 (unless you tell me he failed the charge)
if you commit and your opponent teleport away to cap your point, you simply cap theirs because where they sat would now be empty (not to mention this also forces teclis to spend a cast on it)
LRL is known for having tragic damage output but one could say they excel at handling one target at a time, the fact that Carl just played into this making me sad (although the first turn general snipe + total eclipse is rough indeed, followed by a series of unlucky roll you really cant blame him much)

Not much different that buying 2 boxes of Judicators - and way better models imo!
Was a great game and I feel for the SCE player. You did the right thing being solidly aggressive IMO, but unfortunately that priority roll did not reward your aggression and once the Fulminators got murdered I think you were always on the back foot. At the same time well played by LRL! You kept Teclis nice and protected the entire game and patiently waited for your chance to attack and pew those dragons down.
@@JebodiahJunfan Yes it is. Both SDG and Fulminators have 12" MW output attacks, which will do Teclis in no time. Not to mention their devastating charges. So he had to consider where he was keeping things to zone them out and prevent them easily shooting at Teclis or being able to easily charge him.
How You completed agressive expansion on round1 siting in your terytory?

I hadn't thought of this tactic until seeing this batrep (great quality, as usual!), but after chatting with some of our local TOs, it seems that objectives are technically a single point...not the entire marker or 6" around the point. Have you had this judged this way at any large events? Just curious as I'm trying to improve in the game myself! Thanks again for the content. =)

Sentinels are the highest threat why not deepstrike fulmis right in front of them and then charge and kill a bunch in the charge?
Opens them up to unleash hell, and could easily lose a Fulminator or two. Carl also knows I need the wardens as scoring units, and people always forget Warden's can have twice the damage output that Sentinels do!
@@SeasonofWar but the new unleash hell only works at a 6" charge? I kinda don't understand the new unleash after the FAQ... But even then, binding the wardens there the judicators had the chance to shoot at them. Sadly the judis were rly rly bad this game 600p for nothing 😬😬hurts me to see because I wanted to play a 15man squad of them as well 😩
it is 6" model to model , fulminator have to end their charge within 1" of the sentinel so most of them would be able to unleash hell against the fulminator with how close they are to each other model , MW on 5 and 6 mean 12 MW from 30 shot on average , add reroll hit from spell on top of that and that s like sending the fulminator to their death EVEN with a successful 9" charge.
Someone has to explain to me how you did aggressive expansion turn 1.

I really wanted to like you guys. Then I saw that horrible camera angle you use. I don't know why channels insist on doing this. Watch how Ash at gorilla miniatures does it. Problem with him for me is I don't tune into him to see good lists. It's his presentation that's awesome. If you guys fix your camera angle and play with tournament lists, I'll give you my money
Sorry Tim - the thousands of others that support us love the camera angles & valuable perspective it provides, so I don't think we'll be changing it. Everyone's welcome to their own opinions though - all the best!
