3 years later and this video was really helpful my booster box came in from amazon sligtly damged and I was worried but when you mentioned way the corners fold into each other on one side and differ in others really made me realived
Thank you. This solidified my suspicion that the tin I bought was resealed. Just like in the video, I think they used the original plastic wrapping, but stretched it out and resealed so now it’s looser and more scronched than it should be. When I contacted the seller, he tried to flex the amount of sealed product he’s sold without complaint before, I guess to try to get me to doubt myself, but it just makes me really sad.
Where did you obtain the fake product? I really think that whenever fake products are discovered that they should be documented and publicly shared so that other consumers can avoid people who are doing that stuff. I found your video while searching for how to determine if something is resealed for Yu-Gi-Oh!.
The booster boxes part is a bit unhelpful. You show legit boxes and tell us how they look fine, but then we don't get a reseal to compare it to and tell the differences.
Thanks for this video. You think a little play on the plastic wrapping for the booster display box is the most telling sign? Mine i believe does have a bit of play. I can create slight ripples when sliding my fingers on it. But it checks out for the criteria you mentioned.
Another way of making sure the product is legit is the manufacturer wrap has 3 rows of small holes. I can't speak for booster boxes, only for ETBs and tins. You can see these holes when talking about the CP ETBs 2:24 and the Pikachu V tin at 5:58. If I were to guess it would be to allow the wrap to vent when going around the product.
I know I'm late here but I recently bought a SM: Team Up booster box. Yes, they are crazy expensive. Don't ask haha. But I've mostly collected SWSH booster boxes in the last year along with ETBs. What I've seen is that most legit ones have the pokeball symbols, those tiny little holes that you see on the top of the ETBs and around the booster box wrapping, and the seals are clean and not clumped together; where as you don't have a large wad of plastic wrap where someone may have tried to reseal it. Now, some booster boxes especially in Sun and Moon I've seen like Evolutions- the initial print run the pokeballs don't go all the way to the back of the box. That is NORMAL. My Team Up booster box is the same way and at first I was cautious as the SWSH all have pokeballs all the way around them. Just some other things to keep in mind. Now, that's not to say someone who's REALLY good at resealing couldn't still use the legit box with the legit wrapping again because it's always possible, but if your looking to see if it's a fake or not these are good tips. I enjoyed the tips you had here with different products! I didn't know about the bottom folding differently. That's neat! Also, for fake booster boxes the print can be different in size and location. For example with the Team Up booster boxes the T.U. logo on the back is above Zekrom and Pikachu where on fake booster boxes it's seen overlapping them. Unfortunately, some reseals look so good you can't really find out if they are in fact resealed until you look at the booster packs themselves. Some people only have time on their hands and will do whatever it takes to make that money sadly. Thanks man!
My 2023 fall lunchbox has soft thin wrapping with micro holes in it. I’ve heard this is normal. But the 2022 lunch box has thick wrapper that is stiff and squeaky when you rub it.
Hi i just received a GENGAR collection box from stock x. It was clearly hot glued shut and its for a sealed collection. Do you know how i can tell for sure that it was resealed.
Why do my booster boxes of evolving skies have protruding seals on one side? Is that normal? Like it comes off the box a bit where it’s closed on the side
My son was just gifted a celebrations gift packs, someone opened all the packets & used glue to reseal. All the card were damaged. Im so pisses. If you do this your a POS!
hi i ordered a Evolving skies booster box from a card shop in NY. seal looked fine (new collector) and i’ve ripped almost half of packs and all the code cards were green. is this normal?
@@IcewEdits I just picked up 2 evolution boxes yesterday and it had the lines on the top, I have some additional photos and videos sent to me at my request showing them in more details. I have checked for the small holes on the seal plastic under light reflection. I got the seller to tap on the seal plastic and also rub his fingers on it, the plastic looks soft and sounds quite. It doesn't sound like a candy wrapper. So far, things are looking good. I can share the videos and pictures with you if you want.
Dudes that reseal will be in Hell forever

Great video. I ordered some ETBs and was worried they looked weird. Your video made me feel that mine were ok. Thanks

I'm so pissed. I just got a whole bunch of resealed stuff from a new card shop I found. Why is this such a big problem?
Stop spending 30k on Pokémon cards.
Because some adults pay way too much for childrens playing cards.

Jose Cansecomon is very rare, grats on the rare pull! Only know of 2 in existence and you pulled both of them, insane!

I’m not seeing them when I try to pause it? :(

Man I got two energy cards in every booster packs of cp etb while all the last card were all missing 😢😭
Thank you for the valuable information . I look forward to your next video
Excellent presentation. I would add to buy from legitimate sellers like GameStop etc.
I bought an etb off ebay and doesn't have the grooves you mentioned and only have one row of holes on the top. Is it fake?
Amazing 🤩 keep up the great work family

You should do one on collection boxes like the kanto box

My tin box had a hard plastic around it is that normal?
Pokemon should take lessons from how digimon does their boxes

Good video🙏, thank you.
on ebay, 50% of such resealed boosts are sold and maybe even more

Dude, they sell the sealing machine and the fake wrap with the pokemon logo on Alibaba...
What happens if a etb doesn't have the ringlets on the bottom side is it fake???
Do you mean the seal line is on the top of the ETB box?
Yes
