Bought our first home in Vallejo Heights neighborhood last year and could not be happier. So diverse and everyone is very friendly and supportive. Love our Tudor style home and we have the best view. Taking the kids and dog for a walk by the water its just lovely.
That's great to hear Stephanie! Vallejo heights is super charming and definitely has some of the best views in the north bay! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
I'd like to put in a good word for the Grant Mahoney Park neighborhood....between Tuolumne and I80 and Redwood and Tennessee Streets, just east of the Vista. The houses are a little older and smaller than the Vista but just as diverse in terms of styles. I've lived here for 15 years and have loved it! Lots of good starter homes here.
I love the insight, thank you for sharing Craig! Vallejo has so many great neighborhoods and I wish I could have included all of them! Grant Mahoney may be THE most convenient neighborhood of them all. Great tip for future buyers, thank you!
Thanks for this video and pointing out the pluses of living in Vallejo. I have lived in Vallejo for twelve years now. I have also lived in Walnut Creek, Rossmoor, Pleasant Hill, Concord and Martinez most of my life. I have felt as safe here as any of these other locations.
Thank you Ulises! Vallejo has SO much to offer and there isn't much info out there. Do you have any specific dining places that you enjoy? Sounds like a great idea!
@@ErikaMonroeSolanoCountyRealtor - I only been here like for 8 months. So Far I like "Los Molcajetes" Mexican restaurant on Redwood Street. Any good suggestions? I'm looking for a good Chinese / Thai / Malaysian / Indian restaurants.
@@ulisesrobles1549 Los Molcajetes is delicious!! That was a great find. For Thai, I've really enjoyed Maya Thai house and The Loft. Yo sushi in Glen Cove has a large variety of delicious Japanese cuisine. IF you want to try something upscale, I HIGHLY recommend Michael Warring in Hiddenbrooke. He plates the most beautiful and tasty dishes. It's definitely on par with the best restaurants in SF but without the price tag!
I grew up in Vallejo between 1946 and 1970. I was a nice middle class town with a steady economy because of the presence of large federal shipyard. The "yards" closed in 1998. People left in droves Nothing has replaced this economic engine Both the public schools and the local government are bad The town has a long road to recovery. Almost any Bay Area town is a better real estate investment
Thank you for taking the time to comment. Though I agree that Vallejo has faced its fair share of challenges, it's also made large strides. I am a current Vallejo resident and have been for several years. Here is what my clients and I have experienced: Strong and steady home value appreciation. Not only is it more affordable and affords folks the opportunity to buy when they couldn't otherwise, most are enjoying really strong and steady home value appreciation. Schools have worked hard to serve their students and they continue to rank higher and higher on greatschools.org and niche.com. Costco believes in the value of Vallejo so much that they are re-investing millions of dollars to expand their property and build a new warehouse. Costco meticulously selects areas that they believe will continue to enjoy strong home values with resident incomes that are higher than the national average. Vallejo is not without its faults, just like any other city. It may not be for you but it's offered a lovely home to myself and many others.
Having trouble finding information on the best neighborhoods of Vallejo? I've got you covered! I've compiled an overview of the most desirable neighborhoods in Vallejo
Welcome to Vallejo! The area you mentioned sounds like it covers a few different neighborhoods. Harry Floyd Terrace is likely the main neighborhood. It's a very convenient location! So glad you're loving it!
Erika, I appreciate you making such a great video highlighting the Vallejo neighborhoods. For anyone wanting to know a little bit more about glen cove specifically I made this video talking about what it's like to live there as a resident ruclips.net/video/6v6kdVBJH6Q/видео.html
Thank you for sharing Ramon! Great video and so helpful to have firsthand insight from a Glen Cove resident. I also made this video focused specially in Glen Cove. ruclips.net/video/uSrbvcqVU38/видео.html Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Cheers!
Thank you Ruben! I am familiar with Beverly hills/Southeast Vallejo! It's one of the arguably more affordable neighborhoods. There are typically a handful of homes listed below $500,000. I've shown a couple properties on Pueblo way which was very popular with my clients. It all depends on what you're looking for. Would you like me to send you some listings in the area, or if you have specific questions, please feel free to email me: monroe.erika@gmail.com

Vallejo is a major DOWNGRADE from Walnut Creek.
Great! Thanks for promoting our underrated city of Vallejo! Maybe you could do one of the top 10 dining places in Vallejo, etc.
