    Pamela has used Crayola, Brutfuner squares, all manner of pencils. The only reason to stop following Pamela is because you don't want to color anymore, and it is such a lovely hobby. Please don't give it up because of a brand used. I don't have the expensive ones, but you don't need them to enjoy coloring. The technique used is for any brand of pencils out there. Just try to come as close to the colors as you can.

    Hi Pamela, I’ve recently discovered that metallic paint pens/markers will cover the black lines in coloring books. If the lines are really thick/wide you may need 2 coats. If you don’t like the matte look of metallic you could put one coat of metallic and then one of whatever paint marker you choose - say posca or whatever. I’ve been watching Shel’s Colouring Journey here on RUclips - she has a video showing her “Posca alternative” for covering black lines. Tooli-Art Acrylic Paint Pens.

    Hi Pamela - I have a horrid time with my Poscas. They don’t work unless I blop them on a separate paper and then I use from the blob so I’m not wasting the ink. But I don’t get the total coverage other people get. And I’ve thrown out all my white posca’s. Just can’t make them work. They don’t cover at all and make a mess on my page. Maybe a “how to use Posca” video??

    Thanks Pamela for showing how to use grays to create depth. I heard you say use warm grays with warm colors and cool grays with cool colors. So how would you use French grays?

    • @PamelasPassionforPencils
      @PamelasPassionforPencils  Год назад +1

      I use my French grays often just to color other random things but don’t often use them for the techniques I shared in this video. I use them quite a bit to color fur mixing them with other colors so they stand out. They look wonderful with shades of brown.

      I had to go back and check, but I did show laying down the lightest color, I just sped it up a bit. You can use the gear at the bottom of the video to slow it back down if you need to. I just did this because the main focus of this video was how to create depth and dimension.

      You can still follow along with your prismacolor. Oil pencils are harder to blend so it should be easier to do this with prisma. Don't give up just because she is using a different brand of pencils. Have fun Don't stress.

      @@PamelasPassionforPencils my husband always tells me the tools are only as good as the user. I remember watching you and all you had was Crayola pencils I was starting out at the same time. I thought I needed a bunch of different sets of colored pencils. If I was to tell someone starting out get a good but cheap set of colored pencils and save up and buy a set of prisma. As much as I have spent buying a bunch of cheap sets I could of had a set of prisma faster and always remember you can buy the expensive pencils open stock. So treat yourself once a month with a few pencils if you don't have the funds to buy a set.
      You do end up spending more but you still can color.
