I couldn't agree with your observations more. I've been traveling around the west since 2015. Most of my camps were boondocking. All of my favorite sites were boondocking. Money was not the issue. Peace and quiet, flexibility, attractiveness, etc were the factors driving my choice.
Would be interesting to document how you " set up" when you stay at a Cabellas or Walmart. Do you level, put slide out , unhitch, etc. I've never done this, but would be interested in seeing your procedure. Enjoy your videos...thank you
I don't know why we never thought to include that. Our trailer is 7' wide and our slide is about a foot wide. When it's out, we still aren't as wide as an Airstream. Usually, the parking lot is fairly level, but if it isn't, we use our levelers. We try to park where the slide is over grass. We rarely unhitch because it is just an overnight stop.
