Glenn was always the real voice of little river band for me...
Have you heard THE CD THE NET WITH JOHN FARNHAM? INCREDIBLE!
@@jordansinger8543 🤣🤣 Good, but not good enough for LRB
Shorrock is definitely the most recognizable, but Farnham has had his moments too. So has Wayne Nelson, who's sung a percentage of leads on every album the band's released since he joined in 1980, including hits like The Night Owls and Take It Easy On Me.
The Eagles’ late great Glenn Frey (R. I. P.) recognized the Little River Band’s greatness.
That alone qualifies the band to be in the Rock Hall of Fame.
What?? I thought they were already in the HALL OF FAME.
WHAT AN INJUSTICE THEY ARE NOT!
Right!

Indeed it does
These guys are amazing they've got me on my feet dancing like nobody's watching cause nobody is! Love love love 21:49
Glenn Shorrock is in fine voice here 😊 Doesn't matter if he, Beeb Birtles and Graeham Goble no longer own their own band name. Everyone knows who the real LRB is!
Yes we most certainly do!

Yeah the lead guitarist got ALL the LRB rights
He pulled a triple Sammy on them
Look it up
@Chris The lead guitarist has the rights
Search it
@Chris yes he shocked the h___ out of them
No backup dancers or singers, no big screens, smoke or lasers, just basic stage lighting unlike what you see today, it's amazing to see what pure talent can do. LRB has always been among my favorites and I would love to see modern day upstarts take serious note and maybe rekindle some of this magic, I'd much rather see my ticket money go towards something other than overpriced gimmicks...
have a cry little buddy, life moves on boomer, there are still good bands around.
@@joparkcat Believe whatever you may, the 1970's and 1980's created the best music and did not require autotunes or anything other than great innovative talents
@@joparkcat its cause a few generations have been born Tone Deaf ....lol ...PLUS NO NEED FOR "E" by their Music!!!! Basically any body can write 4 letter lyrics ...LMAO .....today is a joke< Why then are you watching this?
I saw this band at the NY state fair - my daughter fell on some wires in front of Glenn Shorrock and he helped her stand up and made sure she was okay.
Ive had the honour to sit and speak with Glenn and he really is a lovely man.
NO ONE can sing for LRB but Glenn !!
Have you heard THE CD THE NET WITH JOHN FARNHAM? INCREDIBLE!
@@jordansinger8543 Farnham was a temp. They gave him a shot, but the fans insisted on Glenn, so Farnham was 'dismissed'. He has a good voice, but again, NO ONE can sing for LRB but Glenn....as history has proven.
What asshole would dislike this, Glenn Shorrock is the best front man of all time, Even to this day, Thanks for sharing this gem of a concert
"Best of all-time" is a bit extreme, but he definitely was an awesome front man.
well when you are Lonesome and unable to make the connection between the song lyrics and some way to help the song is pretty downtrodden on someone like that
Thanks Declan
Just listen to the harmonies
Take notes kid's, that's how it's done!💜🙏
Absolutely. I remember this was the song that did it for me back around 1979!!!

back in the 70s sure but not now. shit imagine some old fart said that to you in your youth!
Glenn Shorrock was such a great performer and vocalist !
Still is Jeff
Why was he replaced by John Farnham?
@@kdegraa Graeham wanted to write more songs for the band that weren't in Glenn's vocal range.
@@VidClips858 Such a shame since Birtles and Nelson could easily sing these higher register songs. Glenn's voice is the classic LRB voice.
Such an underrated band. Great song writing, and top notch musicianship. LRB is anong the great vocal bands ...The Eagles, Queen, Styx, CSN, Three Dog Night, etc.
100% and more.
I totally agree, so underrated but at least the big hits get radio play on the 'easy listening' stations. I crank it no natter who's in the truck when I'm cruising down the road. I grew up spinning their vinyl records and singing into the air. I must boast that my Dad has an amazing rock album collection that I had full access to until i moved out! Love you dad if you read this!
Just Can't Beat THIS SOUND🎸🎤🎺🥁🎹😍 LRB is a Fkn Turn on for Me 😚. THIS IS HOW 🎼🎵🎶 is SUPPOSED to be. When you feel it to your core. Thank You Little River Band 💝💓 for an era of the Best Sound. 🤔I Wish We ALL could go back to then. 🔊 Love You Guys, Sincerely ❤ 🎼🎵🎶👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍🤘

@@littlewing6231 Aahhh a feel good after the feel good!! 🚬
I saw them with my little sister, at the Syria Mosque and we were given a LRB leather keyring as a bonus souvenir, that I wore out in a coupla years. I was especially impressed with Beeb Birtles, as he grooved around while he played his guitar and sang! He moved like a snake with legs! I loved their vocals . They shared a tie-in with the Beatles, George Bennett, I believe, was his name. That, in itself, caused me to pay closer attention to them, & their harmonies kept me well impressed. I used to sing high soprano in our church choir, so I always appreciated good vocals. Thank u, Glenn, Beeb, & Company for the superb music!
The Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh. Wow I missed that performance. What year were they there?
These guys had some awesome vocals so clean no faking here
And lots and lots of practice.
Yes no autotune in sight....
Hate that I never got to see them LIVE. They're AMAZING 💯
Me Too
They're still touring. Just saw them this past weekend in Minnesota
@@lisatullis615 Not the real version of the band.
Man....these guys were tight! New appreciation for them in 2022 at the age of 60. Thank you you tube and this channel!
Well I'm 80 and they will always b my fav band got their records seen them in adelaide SA oh what a voice glenn❤❤
Saw this tour show in Northern California. It as some of the best musicianship and singing I have ever heard live,(and I have heard virtually every legacy band live)… LRB was a great band, and in my mind, Shorrock is the best of the best! He could sing absolutely anything and everything, and never break a sweat! In my mind, the best rock singer of all, because nothing was difficult, or a reach for him… it was all easy… casual greatness! Birtles and Goble, both excellent musicians/ guitarists and singers, we’re just icing on the cake, but for me Shorrock was the voice of LRB… totally authentic and real …the Farnham years were simply wasted time..
Concord Pavilion? I just looked it up because that’s where I saw them in September 1981. Poco opened for them.
@@dwildhirt nope! Stockton, California… Spanos Center, I believe
Been listening to L.R.B for 30 yrs super band .
I love this concert video for several reasons. LRB (all early band line-ups) is in my top 5 bands of all time. I believe that this actual concert footage was "one of the first" concerts broadcast on HBO. I was actually at this concert (ticket was $6.50) and my ticket stub is in a box somewhere in my storage area. The concert was held in the Houston arena formerly known as The Summit (1975-98) Compaq Center (1998-2003) and it hosted the Houston Rockets NBA team. Since 2003 the arena was renovated and is known as Lakewood Church and is host to Joel Osteen and his Ministries.
YES!!!! I was a senior in high school and these guys played at the Nashville State Fair and my ticket was 7.00!!!! It was my first concert and I’ve been hooked ever since. Their harmonies are like no other. Those were the good ole days for music!!!
Actually this footage was from Reunion arena in Dallas TX. The highway footage was on the LBJ and Jim Miller Road. And when they're going up the elevator that's at the reunions Arena ball tower thats right above The Reunion Arena.
Right before I hit 'Show More', I was gonna ask is this the building that Osteen said the victims of the hurricane couldn't enter his building?
Never heard such outstanding vocal harmony in my life. Saw LRB in 1986 in Seattle and I can still hear them
I was there! No Reins tour.
I agree. I’d have loved to have seen them.
Every single member a top notch singer and musician...I respect the fuck out of all these dudes...
My Mom used to listen to this band when I was a kid, & I never paid any attention, but now that I really LISTEN as an adult, this band is really good. Excellent songwriting & musicianship.
Cool Change is my absolute fav. The vid of the dolphins and whales is beautiful. I miss these guys. Grew up with LRB. ♥️🇦🇺
saw them 3 times, fantastic band and Australian musicians. World class.
I will always have a special place for LRB music in my life.
I must have been mentally ill not to see these guys live when I had the chance. Damn they are good!
They came to University of Tennessee Martin about 1981 . , I went and loved it about 9th grade
I have loved The Little River Band since the mid 70's on my favorites list.....
Unbelievable that this is live! "Man on your mind" for instance sounds exactly like the album version. For a moment I really assumed that this is the album version played over the life performance on this channel here. Damn... how can a band be that good?
One of the greatest bands of all time. Been listening to their music since '83
Grew up with these guys Kings of melody and songwriting and their musicianship and beautiful vocals Glenn the man!! lol Legends!!! FK Wish I was a 20 year old in those days hahaha
Never saw LRB live. I think I bought their first album around 1977. I was into more heavier R&R back then. Heard a lot of their later releases on the radio enough to enjoy their hits. Cool Change, Man on Your Mind and Lady are probably my favorites.
Now that I'm in my 60's I'm enjoying these live videos.
brilliant voices ever, I love the way they blended voices, Love you LRB from Cebu, Philippines
They could have easily won best live vocal harmonies of all the great concert bands I have seen over the past 50 years or so...Had the great fortune to see the legends at the London Gardens in Ontario back in 1979. They were touring with "First Under the Wire" LP. What a phenomenal nights entertainment.
Lrb is my favorite band ever since and then.soft 🎵 especially when you driving in a long distance trip, you will never feel asleep while you listen thier soft songs
The super bands from yesteryear . ❤❤❤❤
No back tracks or auto tune. Live pure real talent. Im so glad I geew up in that era. My favorite band as a teen was Van Halen but I also had every LRB album and absolutely loved Glens vocals. Red headed wild flower is one of my all time fave LRB songs.
The Original players are great, love listening to them. No one can replace them.
WOW these songs take me back to the 1980 as a lover of music. The good old days .
No doubt,I remember cruising with my good friend in her bright green Camaro and we had our LRB Cassette tape up so loud.Happiest days in my life!RIP Linda Mckee
Bring back memories of the 80 s
I absolutely love these guys!!! amazing how good this music was and still is. Such good memories these songs bring back. So glad we can still listen to such great music as this. There will never be another LRB. Thank you Little River Band ❤️❤️❤️

WHO remembers the band mississippi the south australian band and the forerunner to the great real little river band //cheers
Yep, all Little River Band fans should have the Mississippi album - you can find one of their songs "Kings Of The World" on youtube & you can hear the sound of what would become LRB.
Also check out pre LRB Glenn Shorrock in Axiom doing "My Baby's Gone" clip on youtube
Yes. But I also remember Charlie Tumahai,Mississippi bass player at the time ,who remained in England Follow the band's break up and the Bill Nelson led band,Be Bop Deluxe.
This band had everything - didnt get the kudos it deserved I feel.
I remember growing up during their period of success and there was a lot of noise and distraction in the music industry. The Little River Band were easy to spot and easy to miss......
Harmonies were as good as any band in Rock and Roll.
Song writing superb.
Musical talent was there, very tight band live.
I have driven by Little River many times.....
Glenn Shorrock is the vision for LRB, as was Glenn Frey was for the Eagles! When Shorrock left and Jon Farnham replaced him it just wasn't the same again!
John was beyond awesome as a replacement
@@lovingit4450 John was great, but his style didn't really fit as well. John as a solo is his best gig.
Glenn IS Little River Band….the end.
oNE OF MY ALLTIME FAVORITES ! Since 1976 !
What a Perfect Live Sound...This is Just Amazing to Watch...LRB at their Best...Harmonies as Good as The Eagles...Brilliant :)

Such a great under rated band. You don't see many bands with this level of talent, especially live. 👍👍👍
Incredible live concert, these guys could sing and play SO good...
love it!
THAT is exactly what makes a band. Working together and not trying to over ride any of the other band.
Just listen to the instrumentals here during Happy Anniversary Baby. Amazing and timeless..Thank you LRB!
I must say Stevie is an Animal on the Guitar...Brilliant.
Love this band! I could listen to Happy Anniversary Baby all day long!!!❤️
One of the greatest bands.
Saw TLB live in Vancouver at Empire Stadium in 1979, along with Chris de Burgh and Supertramp incredibly entertaining.. Shorrock is one of the all time great rock singers and a real showman.
The 3 guitarist were so complimentary of each other and harmonizing was top notch.
I hear Don Henley in Shorrock’s voice. Very powerful, soothing, great. Amazing musicians ALL
Don who?

Love these guys. Glen Shorrock is an awesome vocalist.
Such a great band upbeat but yet relaxing...seen them several times over the years..now I sit and listen, drinking my morning coffee looking at the sun glistening on the forest snow and reminiscing
So many smiles, listening with snow on the ground...calm, quiet, muffled day, toe tapping
Little River Band, excelente grupo con magníficas canciones. Gracias por compartir.
Yes totally
Great concert, thanks for sharing. LRB was a favorite of mine as a teen; I played the album in my lavender room over and over.
Only ONE TRUE Little River Band and this is Them!
One of my favorite band on the 80's
Can’t believe this is Dallas Texas . I live 6 hours away in Lubbock. I was only 15. Great times Great music
Always liked the style of the Lead Guitar.
Agreed 100% with Fiona. I wonder what the Texans thought of our fabulous Aussie Harmonies ? 🎵
LOOK....there's Wayne Nelson and Stephen Housden......RIGHT THERE on stage with Birtles, Shorrock and Goble. Imagine that.
Cuanto talento de este grupo, cantaban , tocaban , eran musicos de verdad, eran muy buenos, excelente rock vocal en grupo. Los disfrutamos mucho, gracias por subir el concierto, saludos desde Peru
Such great music. Saw them playing live on a festival in Germany in the early 80's. So many good memories. Thanks!!!!!!
Absolutely love Man on Your Mind ❤❤❤❤❤❤
But I also love Lady it holds a special place in my heart❤
Brilliant. I had a Little River Band album (on cassette! Don't even remember how I came by it) when I was in my early 20s. Used to play it in the car all the time and this brings back so many memories. Excellent band and they don't get enough coverage. Mistress Of Mine is such an evocative song..... Great vocal harmonies. Thanks for posting this gig!
Cheers Tim!
I studied the songs and was able to copy most of them..at my time, just an awesome experience...
I had "forgotten" this band. Just show up on FB. Now im happy. What a great band.
I never miss the day without playing their songs. It’s reminiscing.
They are with out doubt the Australian version of the Eagles ,harmony so perfect ,the one and only orginall Little River Band
I agree I get teary when I hear their songs on radio there voices ❤❤and songs
Shorrock, Pellici, Goble, Birtles, Nelson, Housden. Best lineup of LRB.
Brilliant! Check out the live vocals..Awesome.
indeed fantastic!
What a criminally underrated band among the legends of Super Groups!
Seen them live about 5 years ago & they sounded even better than this!! Got 3 guitar picks & a song set list for my collection. That Bass player/singer was just phenomenal!! Beyond freaking words. U can see him in this video playing bass. He sounded just like, if not better than this dude & on top of that he was playing the most amazing bass that would put anyone to shame. What a talent!! I hope they come back soon!! It was 4 of them and sounded soo clean, it was impeccable. Could not possibly sound any better!!!.
Banda incrível, que arranjo top, dobras perfeitas!
Totally
Started off with ("A Long Way There"), the song that brought me to them as a fan. Excellent.
Yes A long way there was first I’d heard of them,in the uk
Fantastic band, Glenn was the voice of LRB. Love the Time Exposure Album, but also the No reins Album.
No Reins, Glenn Shorrock wasn’t on that album. John Farnham was the leadsinger on No Reins
If you can find it get the 20th anniversary LRB. 2 full CD set. Most recorded live. Glen Fry joined them on stage for a Lying Eyes/ take it Easy set in Australia.
Greatest group ever. Such good voices
They are a great band! Thanks for posting!
A band with this versatility and Musical Quality like Melodic Rock Pop Jazz Funk and some Sourthern Rock should be better known than it is.
Little River Band maybe its name should be the Great River Band
saw them in Daytona this year. great show
What did you see, impersonators?
Summer of 1982, I saw them at SPAC with TOTO. Excellent! Glenn is LRB!
These guys are beyond compare absolutely
One of the Legenday bands for me. Their songs were considered immortal!
This is crazy amazing thanks for giving me all these flashbacks I would have been at least 2 or 3 of these shows in sydney
Video ..It's a Long Way .. Featured Dallas.....WOW, a lot has changed. Big Town Mall in one drive scene....Long gone!
Dallas had a Great Club scene through the 80's and 90's!....
Another scene King Edwards Apartments on Northwest Highway ...The Club and Bar scene was happening Big Time on Northwest Highway/European Crossroads. Last scene ..Elevator at the Hyatt looking out at Reunion Tower and Reunion Arena.
The best line up of LRB period.
Minus Housden
@@jamestejada3673 I agree that lead guitarist David Briggs was a critical part of LRB’s sound.
@@jamestejada3673 Housden was easily Briggs' match live. Don't know how you could argue otherwise.
Love that Cutlass Supreme! My folks had a 1982 Olds Cutlass Supreme that was maroon with the vinyl half top. We went to Florida in it and I sat in the back seat behind my dad driving, listening to my Walkman cassette player with headphones. This tape, Asia, Loverboy, and Frida! Memories! I'm 60 now! Can't believe it went so fast.
