Well, that was educational, better than that usual fluff you call comedy. Glad to see that you've finally come to your senses.
Adam Gibbs he’s learning from the best! Lol
Adam Gibbs So rude! 😉
Juicy is always
🤣
He did say you had a 70-200 in your pants, despite there not being trees on the island. ;)
Goddamn Gavin, I can't tell you enough how much I fucking love your comedy!! The growing a 70 to 200 mm joke was GOLD!!!
I like when it comes to risking your life for a shot. That's why I'm in photography, it takes me where I'd never go. The best shots are always not easy ones)
so true in life in general
My favorite part of this one is the unbridled joy as the waves crashed in. It's infectious!
Finally I understand layers
Hey I’m off to Ayrshire next week and I seem to remember you taking some shots of a stream and gully in south Scotland, but I can’t find your video… any tips would be much appreciated. BTW, my birthday this weekend and I’m hoping that the proof of my wife’s love will materialise in the form of a copy of Chasing Awe!
Even without the humor, one of your best. Tutorial at the end was excellent; thank you, sir.
Wauw, that image of the cave-waves is awesome. I love it when a photo seems to open a whole new world of adventure.
Very educational - and fun to watch. Looking forward to the next one!
Fabulous! You Got it All!
Holy rip cords, you had me at 'Father Steptoe, growing a 70-200mm in his pants!' Nice shot and good tut.
Especially loving the New Model Army hoodie! That takes me back. Thanks for the tutorial.
First time seeing a time blend Gavin, thanks for putting it together and sharing.
Stunning photo. Thanks for sharing your technique and vision.
Thank you Gavin for the tutorial towards the end. Awesome shot.
It's like coloring outside the lines!
Thank-You,
Mike
Awesome!
Great video, I love you and Adam going out on adventures. This was a added bonus of the time blend tutorial. Great Episode.
Thanks for the tutorial with layer masks, so simple with great effect.
I'm glad you're daring and decided to shoot inside that cave. Great image!
Love you guys
You are absolutely the King of Commentary!! Gorgeous stuff
Love your enthusiasm!
I love the video. Vlogging the process of taking the shots to putting them together into a stunning photo. Thank you.
I'm still learning to use layers and you explained your Time Blend very clearly! Thanks!
I really took to your infectious exuberant enthusiasm when you were in that cave, just ENJOYING what you were seeing and doing. Very nice finished composition too
Fantastic Gavin.
This was great to watch. I made this trip from Seattle back in 2014 where I started in Glasgow and drove to Edinburgh, up the east coast, across the north and then back down the west coast where my last couple of days were spent in Oban before returning to Glasgow. It was me, my camera, my clubs (so I could play a round at St, Andrews new course) and a car. Upon visiting Mull and Iona which was amazing in itself, I also visited Staffa. All I can say is that it was an almost spiritual experience being there on top of that island surrounded by gorgeous views and a feeling of being the only person on the planet. I managed to shoot the cave as well and can relate to the awe of it (and the pucker factor) as I stood on the edge of the section you noted is now gone. It was an experience I hope to have again when I visit next time. Thank you for this video and for taking me back to one of the most amazing places I have ever been. If there is a way for me to share a few of my shots with you (not for critique or anything,) I would love to.
Truly awesome final image and wonderful tutorial. Thank you very much. This is definitely one to refer to again and again as a reference tutorial.
Great video, thanks for showing us your shots on Staffa and the time blend post shoot. Really entertaining and informative - the best of both worlds.
Great shot, I really love it!
Absolutely love your videos, many thanks
So glad you showed the PS process. I've never tried a time blend and it opens new possibilities I hadn't considered.
Excellent episode in the continuing saga... Both the walkthrough vlog of the capture and how you worked the image in post very helpful. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome location and absolutely stunning picture 👍. And thanks for PS tutorial. That is really helpful.
What an awesome shoot location! That cave is gorgeous. Great video Gavin.

Great watching your videos and the fantastic locations you share too.
fantastic. Thanks for the information.
Trezmendous indeed!!
fantastic final image thx for sharing
I've done exposure blending but never thought to use it the way you have. Awesome video.
Thanks for the walkthrough. It's always interesting to see an image taken in the same place, and of the same subject, by two or more persons. Your image and Uncle G's image of the same cave are world's apart. Each image evokes a completely different visual and emotional response. Well done, Gavin (and Uncle G).
Very cool shot. Thanks for sharing.
This is sooooooo good. Nice blending tutorial G. Thanks so much.
Bravissimo!!!
