Reading & Northern 2102: The Mauch Chunk Rambler

The summer of 2023 once again saw the thunderous Reading T-1 #2102 return to the rails for another season of hauling the famous Iron Horse Rambles from Reading to Jim Thorpe (formerly Mauch Chunk). The T-1 closed out the fall season in early November, then spent the winter and spring seasons undergoing regular maintenance, as well as repairs and improvements. The steam icon of the North-East hauled the first ramble of the season on July 1st, and the second on August 13th, the one year anniversary of the Iron Horse Doubleheader which featured the railroad's famous blue pacific #425. With over 15 cars in tow, the "T-Hog" put on a show blasting through the coal mining regions of Northeast Pennsylvania.
