As someone who picked up a nic addiction bc of an addiction to the dizzy feeling: dont. That dizziness goes away, replaced by phlegm in your lungs. And i've found it have more phlegm in the morning from vales than i do from cigarettes, but i also hate smelling like cigs.

For me, the reason I really want to quit is that it fucks up my throat and I love singing too much. Running helps alot with that as well, as I'm sure you can imagine.
While I'm in no way encouraging any of it, smoking won't actually drastically affect your life if you decide to try it a few times. Likewise, an addiction to nicotine isn't necessarily harmful, but it's just associated with heavy smoking in most cases. I actually know someone who sometimes takes nicotine gum before doing surgery, since it helps them focus. With all that said, addictions are never healthy things to have, and can very easily ruin some aspect of your life.

I knew a guy who chewed in high school. He explained how it works. There’s graphite in the tobacco that cuts up inside of your mouth allowing the tobacco to enter your bloodstream. When you first start out you just pinch a little bit between your thumb and forefinger. The amount he used would fucked him up had it gotten into veins. I watched a guy try it once for the first time and he almost fell over from the rush.
And a month later, Doug’s jaw fell off and the sunflower seeds grew in his stomach into giant sunflower stalks out of his mouth. He’d become a walking ad for ‘baseball addiction’. (In seriousness, Doug WTF my guy? Chewing tobacco has some way worse chemicals themselves. I never smoke or do the chew because I had a father who was the prime example of ‘overdoing bad substances’ and unintentionally teaching me to NEVER do that junk.)
