I've spent all of 2016 practicing what you showed us in your videos and now i have over 50 original compositions which actually sound nice. One of them was the soundtrack for a short film. Seeing someone these days smiling while they are playing music is really inspirational. It's rare that someone loves music enough to feel so high when they play, you know. While I'm playing I just feel sad, which is logical because I suck.
Thanks Uyen. I was going to insert a comment about not saying that to yourself, but you probably will anyways, just like I do, haha. So really the truth is, whether you want to hear it or not, that you are probably way better at piano than you think you are, and if you would just accept that you're a jazz pianist (or jazz guitarist) and stop telling yourself that you're not a good player, then you would know that as truth. I'm guessing, but you probably only 'dabble' in your playing and get bad results because deep down you have a belief that you suck, and there's nothing you can do about it (so why try hard anyways, etc. etc., the same old story). I can't speak for you exactly but I know this is ridiculously common with beliefs limiting how good you can get, and it has happened with me many times in all the other areas of my life as well as in piano. You might want to try wearing the hat of a 'good player' for a week, and see what happens and how you feel about it. The only prerequisite to be a jazz pianist is to solo a little bit and play a jazz chord or two. You may be a shitty jazz pianist, but you're still a jazz pianist! haha. You'd be surprised at how much of a difference that little shift in mindset can make.
And I would also like to add, when I draw, this song helps me to get in the zone. Its calming, gentle and soothing:) Thanks for doing the cover man, I'm sure he'd be proud of you:)

Yeah sure ! I have some interested friends who would like to have more Nujabes/Champloo piano tutorial. Shiki no Uta tutorial would be awesome ! Last mini request : Can you sometimes put your camera above your hands ? :) This way we could learn just by stopping the video to see the chord and you won't have to do a tutorial, just play normally :)
It's jazz improvisation with some classical and gospel influences. If you want to learn, I can recommend some of my free lessons if you share a little about how long you've been playing and your experience (beginner, advanced, etc.).
Mmeronek umm. in fact,i didn't learn piano before, but i play the tune after listened in my mind of left hand,i just can play full chords or 7 chords , i want to learn your affluent right hand. thank you,
