WOW
Seems like most bosses boil down to "park your giant invincible dragon over their weakspot until they die"
Kind of like R-Type's force pod, except a big chain-gang of 'em. I guess that's IREM for you!
Well manuvered. I have to say I like the enemy and boss designs of this game. The Japanse have a good grip on the Gigeresque biomechanical cyborg mecha art style.
I love any SHMUP where you're in a weird messed up world shooting at weird messed up things! The weirder, the better!
Now this is a blast from the past
The scaly seeing that the game isn't about breeding dragons: How many other lies have I've been told by the council?!!
Not often you get to control the monster who has the classic “arcade orb” body
This game possibly inspired *BX-4 ARVANCHE* ship in R-type Final.
Made the same company so could be true
Clockwork Aquario (Arcade) All Bosses (No Damage)
This game is awesome!
this game design and concept is really great for me. the art also really good
Dezaemon 2 (Saturn) All Bosses (No Damage)
Dezaemon (Snes) All Bosses (No Damage)
Wow 🤩 cool game👍
These were only in Asian areas in the US like LA. Classic, played a lot like R-Type, but the dragon aspect was a nice change.
Amo Dragon Breed, excelente gameplay.
☺️🤝
Haha I used to pkay this at the laundromat
great vid
Dezaemon (Nes) All Bosses (No Damage)
Irem had the best developers.
Dinosaurs For Hire (Genesis) All Bosses (No Damage)
Uranus Zero EV (GBA) All Bosses (No Damage)
Dragon breed good dragon !
Couple questions:
1) Is it even possible to take damage in this game? I've never seen a shmup that you could basically plow your way through.
2) What is even the point of a timer in a game that's almost entirely auto-scrolling? (That question is more rhetorical.)
You can die, but the hitbox is the pilot and not the dragon
The timer is mainly for scoring bonuses
There’s certain parts of each stage in which you can dismount from the dragon, during which the auto-scrolling stops. The timer ensures that the player can’t just hang out there as long as they want to and farm for points, and that the game will eventually end if the player just abandons it.
Its one hit death if the pilot gets hit. Some boss fights can be tough to finish before the timer runs out, such as the skull boss. For the stages you cant really save time. The screen stops scrolling at the bosses.
this kinda feels like X-multiply in some ways
I don't get this game, lol. Was it made by a developer who just got tired of one-hit shmups that they decide to make this where you're invincible?
Where is player weakspot/hitbox? 🤔
The pilot's head or chest, I think
What is the point if you can just plow the dragon into things?
To make sure the enemy hits the dragon and not the pilot.
Yet again, the lack of power-up usage presents a double-edged sword; it shows the player's skill, for certain, but it also amounts to watching the character slowly plink away at the enemy with a peashooter and not use any of the cool weapons and abilities the game offers, which makes the actual viewing rather less enjoyable.
Dragon Breed? Bad Dragon 🥵
Who were the devs?
These guy's were artistic.
Irem! R-Type developers
This game is pretty easy. …Too easy to the point where someone with little to no gaming skills like me can beat it in one go
Do dangen gb2 tally normal difficulty
