@@BLET_55artem55na origins is an assassins creed game, it’s literally the Origin story of the brotherhood. Odyssey and Valhalla u can make more of a case as to not really being assassin creed games. In my opinion at least. All great games though.
amazing video! I always liked how good Ubisoft does historical settings in AC games. you actually feel like you're in these ages and they're so beautiful and real. I mean, even while I hate Valhalla I can really appreciate the work they did to make you feel like you're really in medieval England. actually, thanks to AC games I became so interested in history and now it's my passion, so I will always be thankful to this series
Black Flag, Odyssey and Origins also embrace underwater, Black Flag through the diving missions and some of the hidden bases, and the other two simply as part of the exploration. All three have swimming predators to avoid or combat, and the feeling of exploring a shipwreck or finding the TARDIS at the bottom of the Nile is a joy. Also on Odyssey, the three new areas for The Fate of Atlantis DLC, the Fields of Elysium, the Underworld and Atlantis itself, aren’t based on real world or real history locations but are a lot of fun to explore. The fields and Atlantis are beautiful, and the Underworld is too in a grim way. Atlantis is the first time we explore a thriving Isu population centre rather than just the ruin of an Isu site.
I never got into the AC Franchise. But last month with Gamepass i decided to try an AC game when i seen the trailer with them in Egypt & i almost shed a tear. I knew this was an legendary experienceice. I just completed days ago. I was about to start on Odyssey but i think im goin to play Origins again 1st. I see people saying there was no stealth in this game, but ive cleared out entire bases w/o being detected at all
A fun fact about Unity; the in-game model of Norte Dame was used as a guide in the efforts to reconstruct the real Norte Dame after the fire. It comes full circle
That's actually false and actually quite dumb when you look at it Ubisoft donated money but was never asked to help with the Notre Dame and why would they be? For an important structure like the Notre Dame, they would have every single detail in documents, pictures, videos and models that are infinitely more accurate than Ubisoft's which was made with parkour in mind
This actually isn't true after doing a bit of research. They said that they'd provide the model if asked, but never were as far as we know. And the developers have openly said that many changes were made to the cathedral for gameplay and copyright reasons. They did however donate a lot of money to help rebuild it and made Assassin's Creed Unity free on Steam for a week.
I love the holy lands in AC 1. All the cities look and feel alive a different. Also its the only AC game where its based on the real life assassins. Also people shouldn't be upset that the villains in AC 1 are middle eastern maybe because they are in the middle east. People better check themselves when AC mirage comes out. Its like saying people are mad at the Ezio trilogy you have to many Italian target's or same thing in unity in syndicate
Honestly i think ac1 takes the cake for me. The atmosphere of the middle ages holy land and the game's mysterious aura coupled with each different vibe from each different city just really does it in an extremely unique and well-crafted way.
@@eldragon57 it is weird and retarded af like there is no way a rational thinking human ever could chose ac1 setting pver something like odyssey. Odyssey is so beautifull and so in detail its insane while ac1 legit just copy pasted 3 citys and changed the colour
I liked Origin the most, Egypt as a location just feels the most transcendental and beautiful , i had several WOW moments while exploring and i love the lighting in the game- the way the sand turns orange during sunset, the sand dunes enveloping the sky and the shafts of golden light reflecting on the water, it's atmospherically the most immersive and to me impressive
Same! Like if origins wasn't an RPG, id be playing it at this moment but I just can't get with RPGs idk what it is. It's like the RPG elements take away from the immersion of it all but the settings are absolutely stunning. It has me conflicted all the time 😂
One thing I have to beg to differ on... The original AC was a graphical achievement. The textures are practically palpable, to this day. The riding distances are not terribly long and horse riding was pretty good for a 2008 game. The score was a lethal combination of what feel like contemporary historical and dystopian present day themes, that are still memorable. Gameplay does not hold up, that's for sure, but as a setting Jerusalem , Accre, Masyaf, Damascus were very beautiful and realistic for a gen 7 game. Desmond's and Altaïr's timelines were very satisfyingly tied together.
I agree with your list. AC Rogue is one of my fav game however the setting deserves to be in the last spot also, they reused many environmental assets from AC III & Black Flag. AC I while had a good setting Ubisoft was really taking notes from Activision on how to make cliche do the muslims dirty thing. Like you literally can climb on the buildings/mosques I don't want exactly they were meant to be but the wall were some words depicted for the God were written, Yeah you can now climb and put your shoes on that words. Great Job Ubisoft 👍 The time when AC Revelations took place the name was already changed to Istanbul, but Ubisoft still decided to go with the name Constantinople because... reasons.
This series is truly amazing just for free roaming the different time periods, and for that thing alone is truly an amazing series...let alone the other features
Roaming England shores with shield in left and axe in right hand ready, skalds singing songs of glory, you pray to Odin and prepare to plunder. Love that atmosphere.
Gotta agree with rogue’s ranking AC rogue is amazing story wise but setting wise it isn’t unique. It feels like AC3 and AC4, it being 1700s americas and all.
Glad to see a channel with new perspectives on the series, and even though you've got Rogue as the worst setting your explanations behind it make me respect your opinion. So many channels generically tout how "bad" Syndicate is in every regard and provide terrible points.
@thelastpersononearth9765 exactly. The same people hating Odyssey are the ones who praise Black Flag even though that "wasn't an assassin game" either. If people hate Syndicate for it's ending or the antagonists, I get it, but it would usually be stupid shit like "lack of weapons" or "grapple gun bad."
Can’t say I agree with AC 1 having a specific focus on Muslim characters being the villains. The whole point of the story was to uncover the fact that the Templar brotherhood spanned across both Crusader and Saracen members alike.
Preach brother. And after all, the Muslims were the invading, oppressive force of the time. Luckily the invasive Umayyad Caliphate was ousted and replaced by the more cooperative Abbasid Caliphate.
AC3 should of been ranked a but high along with AC2 and honestly Odyssey and Valhalla should of been lower considering those were two horrible settings for “Assassins” to thrive in In my opinion
Wtf? How is a new video just dropping from a small channel underrated? Lmao no it ain't,it's a video that's been made before. It's also physically impossible for a new video to be underrates lmao. And this isn't one
Everyone has a different opinion for sure. Being Turkish from the Aegean cost I am super biased. I love Revelations and Odyssey. But storywise my favorites are AC2 and AC4 Black Flag.
Oml same. I’ve gone through and best everything so far. Asides from AC1, origins and Odyssey. I just beat unity a couple of days ago and abt half way through syndicate. I’ve enjoyed all so far. Started a couple months back trying to beat all the AC games (story wise not 100%). Loved every second so far
I especially love England in Valhalla, I'm from the East of England and I love how it still included our landmarks and folklore, Needless to say the visuals are so vibrant and stunning, I love the uniqueness of all the world in Ass Creed and Ubisoft really outdoes themselves each time xx
I don’t think ac4 Black Flag deserves such a high spot. It’s beautiful but it’s mostly water and the islands are quite similar between jungles or more civilised areas, and the very similar forts. The gameplay is incredible and works well with the world, but as a setting it’s not nearly as impressive as syndicate or unity. Especially unity, that game world is just fantastic.
I differ on this. Unity being pretty much strictly urban was ultimately boring for me. AC4's setting was definitely streamlined and inaccessible in many spots, but the aesthetic was on point. But then I prefer a more vibrant, austere, adventurous setting with more overall variety to intricate cityscapes.
Origins is also my favourite one and im so glad ive finally seen someone who has the same opinions. The amount of debates ive had about ac2 and why its one of my least favourite ones.
Great video! You clearly put a lot of thought into your choices even if I didn’t agree with the placement of the top 2 Would love a video of your choices for future settings in the series
Personally, the RPG games having such massive worlds is a huge negative for me, a was a major turn-off while playing the games, even if the games themselves had visually appealing settings. The fact that each game only made the worlds in them larger than the last really tired me out, and I craved the smaller cities more and more Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla would all be at the bottom of my list in some order because of this, while games like Brotherhood, Unity, and Syndicate would be near the top in some order
1. Syndicate 2. Origins (could be first, nearly a draw tbh) 3. Odyssey 4. ACII (if had been made in the new gen era, it would be the greatest setting ever made lol) 5. Unity 6. Black Flag (could easily be 5) (Big gap with the rest) 7. Brotherhood 8. Mirage (could be 7 or 9) 9. Valhalla (Norway is great tho) 10. Revelations 11. AC3 12. AC 13. Rogue (Didn't play those last 2)
"couldnt decide between odyssey and origins" followed by "by far my favorite setting" refering to origins made me laugh a bit. its okay to be authentic and have opinions!! theres no need to try to please everyone, otherwise nice vid : )
My list would be: (best to worst) 1. AC2/Brotherhood 2. AC1 3. AC Unity 4. AC Revelations 5. AC3 6. AC Origins 7. AC Syndicate 8. AC4 9. AC Odyssey 10. AC Valhalla 11. AC Rogue Its quite different. :D
1. The West Indies Sea 2. Egypt 3. Paris 4. 13 Colonies (Revolutionary War) 5. New Orleans 6. Israel (my favorite location; I hope a more detailed version is released in the future rather than some half-@$$ed reskinned remaster.) 7. London 8. Northwest Atlantic (7 Years War) + Saint Domingue 9. Rome 10. Italy 11. Constantinople 12. Greece 13. England and Scandinavia
I'd put Syndicate number 1 settings wise that game blows me away with its settings, but I'd put Unity as 1 as that game's setting was still better that the RPG trio. Third was tied with Odyssey/Origins both have their own charm and even to this day I'm still fascinated with the historical landmarks given by both of these games
1. Italian Renaissance 2. Peloponnesian War 3. Ptolemaic Egypt 4. Borgia Rome 5. American Revolution 6. Golden Age Of Piracy 7. French Revolution 8. West Indies Slave Trade 9. Ottoman Civil War 10. Third Crusade 11. Viking Age 12. Seven Years War 13. French Louisiana 14. Victorian England
Worst Times Period for Assassins Creed and i’m specifically referring to the time periods, not the games, i love the games. Worst: The problem with these is they don’t match at all, and where the hell do the Assassins and Templars fit in or it’s either too early. It’s as if they been pulled in from nowhere. These settings can easily be entirely different games. Worst AC Rouge 7 Years War Black Flag Golden Age of Piracy AC Odyssey Ancient Greece AC Origins Ancient Egypt Odd, i think it’s pretty good but still not really a matching time period for the Assassin and the Templar Order. It’s pretty much at the middle of the road but less fictionalised than the ones above. Odd AC Syndicate AC Unity French Revolution AC Valhalla AC3 American Revolution Best: Pretty much perfect for Assassins Creed with the Assassins and the Templars. Best AC1 Crusades AC2 and BH Renaissance and Constantinople AC Mirage 11th Century Baghdad
3:12 wise choice to refer it to the "holy land" to avoid controversy if a highly sensitive issue..I wonder when ubi would make a far cry game set in modern day....
in my opinion valhalla has the best setting out of any game I've played really. Every AC fan just shits on Valhalla's name cause its not entirely an "AC" game but if you were new to the series and started playing valhalla youd think its easily one of the best games ever. They really thought of everything in that game. I personally like long storylines. spending £70 on a game that i finish within a week feels like a waste. Basically what I'm saying is you guys hate on a game because it's not what you wanted but its still an amazing game if you think about it
rogue is near the top for me, i think the time period and the location is very unique. The small villages and islands in the North Atlantic are so interesting to me, thinking about the daily lives of the population, and how they might survive in such a harsh environment. Sailing through the frozen ocean is so atmospheric, especially at night. Combining this with a time period I don't know much about made for a very intriguing experience, and I appreciate the game for making me interested in it.
you know what I thought was a nice touch to the desert area when you go in it you can start seeing Mirage and if you follow them for a while once’s you get there it’s just blows away
Actually the AC Revelations Istanbul was far from reality. Architecture is okay but wtf was that yellow filter and palm trees. Ubisoft made it like an arabian, generic middle eastern city. Also cappadocia was pretty inaccurate. And going there with a fucking ship was a bullshit. AC revelations is a rushed and unfinished game. It deserves a decent remake.
For me the worst ones are, valhallas England, syndicates london and rogues North Atlantic. Best ones for me are origins Ptolemaic Egypt, odyssey Greece, black flags Caribbean.
I agree with most of these placements except syndicate at #4, personally I’d be sticking it right down at the bottom.. I’m probably biased though because I really don’t like that game
For me one of the worst ones are italy and thats bcs i dont like Italy at all in any game i just dont like the look of italy in general. And italian english accent is just so weirdly bad. And anything with ships to this day i dont know why peaple are so in love with ac4 the most repetitive thing i've ever seen in a video game is ships in ac4 …. I never finished only 2 assasins creed games and thats ac4 and valhala
The only criticism i have of unity: all the shit just laying around in the streets. I cant tell you how many times i kept tripping over randoms crates and tables.😂
You put too much emphasis on the graphics of the games, not their actual settings. I’d much rather play in Constantinople or Rome than Paris or London. I also prefer those time periods too.
as a norwegian, the Valhalla Norway map wasn't good at all, it felt like the most generic depiction ever, with little to no nuance or accurate geography or locations.

It got to a point I became addicted to just find every sync point possible to just see the absolute beauty this game produced. I can’t put it above Ezio’s story but I can say Bayek is my second favorite character in all of AC
It is not an ac game... Total disgrace to OG assassin's creed
@@asfiraihan2073it may not be an "AC game" (which I totally agree), but it's is in no way a bad game
@@BLET_55artem55na origins is an assassins creed game, it’s literally the Origin story of the brotherhood. Odyssey and Valhalla u can make more of a case as to not really being assassin creed games. In my opinion at least. All great games though.
@@jtundergroundstreetassain8049 I'm talking about it being vastly different from "traditional" formula. It's better than them (imo), but still
amazing video!
I see people saying there was no stealth in this game, but ive cleared out entire bases w/o being detected at all
Subscribed, Keep it up ❤
I'd love a video about AC Odyssey in the future.
Thanks man appreciate it.
And I gotchu, I plan to make an AC video of each game individually. Already done valhalla and origins.
Revelations had such a good setting. I really liked it. It doesn't deserve to be that low
Everyone has different opinions, it's just about how we view the settings from our own perspectives💙
are u from azerbaijan?
@@omerkavas1 yes
A fun fact about Unity; the in-game model of Norte Dame was used as a guide in the efforts to reconstruct the real Norte Dame after the fire. It comes full circle
That's actually false and actually quite dumb when you look at it
Ubisoft donated money but was never asked to help with the Notre Dame and why would they be? For an important structure like the Notre Dame, they would have every single detail in documents, pictures, videos and models that are infinitely more accurate than Ubisoft's which was made with parkour in mind
This actually isn't true after doing a bit of research. They said that they'd provide the model if asked, but never were as far as we know. And the developers have openly said that many changes were made to the cathedral for gameplay and copyright reasons.
They did however donate a lot of money to help rebuild it and made Assassin's Creed Unity free on Steam for a week.
It's "Notre", "Our" in English.
Not "Norte".
In other news, the Vatican has asked Ubisoft to stop advertising the power of the holy grenade
@@Max-px5ym😂😂😂
AC2’s setting is the best for me but AC1 is up there too. Those settings were perfect for AC games imo.
@@eldragon57 idk how people can be this weird only because of nostalgia
blinded by nostalgia
@@andikehl1453 it’s not weird, only you think it’s weird.
@@eldragon57 it is weird and retarded af like there is no way a rational thinking human ever could chose ac1 setting pver something like odyssey. Odyssey is so beautifull and so in detail its insane while ac1 legit just copy pasted 3 citys and changed the colour
As someone who went to Bodrum,( a place in Turkey that is near to Greece, so i am probably biased) Odyssey's atmosphere was one of the best for me
I liked Origin the most, Egypt as a location just feels the most transcendental and beautiful , i had several WOW moments while exploring and i love the lighting in the game- the way the sand turns orange during sunset, the sand dunes enveloping the sky and the shafts of golden light reflecting on the water, it's atmospherically the most immersive and to me impressive
But its not made for Ac (not as good)
I honestly dislike the rpg games, as games, but their settings are absolutely breathtaking
Great Job Ubisoft 👍
The time when AC Revelations took place the name was already changed to Istanbul, but Ubisoft still decided to go with the name Constantinople because... reasons.
Black flag being my fav game...i totally agree with this list! Great vid bro
Thanks 😁
This series is truly amazing just for free roaming the different time periods, and for that thing alone is truly an amazing series...let alone the other features
Roaming England shores with shield in left and axe in right hand ready, skalds singing songs of glory, you pray to Odin and prepare to plunder. Love that atmosphere.
Gotta agree with rogue’s ranking
AC rogue is amazing story wise but setting wise it isn’t unique. It feels like AC3 and AC4, it being 1700s americas and all.
My favorite is black flag. I loved sailing the ship and having the crew sing shanties.
I’ll be honest I prefer ac 1s city’s to valhallas field field and more fields
I didn't say the story was about Muslims being villains. I just said that time period was an era where Muslims were frowned upon💙
Preach brother. And after all, the Muslims were the invading, oppressive force of the time. Luckily the invasive Umayyad Caliphate was ousted and replaced by the more cooperative Abbasid Caliphate.
@@cybercop3108😂
AC3 should of been ranked a but high along with AC2 and honestly Odyssey and Valhalla should of been lower considering those were two horrible settings for “Assassins” to thrive in In my opinion
Underrated video
Just finished Unity and syndicate. Now I just need to complete Origins and AC1
My favorite thing about the setting in Unity and Syndicate is the griminess of the streets and alleys.
London
Greece
Viking era England and Ireland
In any order. Can't wait to add Japan to it.
Origins is also my favourite one and im so glad ive finally seen someone who has the same opinions. The amount of debates ive had about ac2 and why its one of my least favourite ones.
Bro-
I kinda feel bad for you..
Got 21k views (as of now)
But only 978 subs😭
Haha don't feel bad. I don't really mind it. Everyone starts somewhere 😄
This list is garbage ac1 second last? ☠️☠️
Great video! You clearly put a lot of thought into your choices even if I didn’t agree with the placement of the top 2
Would love a video of your choices for future settings in the series
Thank you! That sounds interesting. I might have to do some research on that topic. I already have a setting in mind being Japan.
i just wiched unity got a fps and resolution boost on ps5 Paris is just amazing.
1. Syndicate
2. Origins (could be first, nearly a draw tbh)
3. Odyssey
4. ACII (if had been made in the new gen era, it would be the greatest setting ever made lol)
5. Unity
6. Black Flag (could easily be 5)
(Big gap with the rest)
7. Brotherhood
8. Mirage (could be 7 or 9)
9. Valhalla (Norway is great tho)
10. Revelations
11. AC3
12. AC
13. Rogue
(Didn't play those last 2)
"couldnt decide between odyssey and origins" followed by "by far my favorite setting" refering to origins made me laugh a bit. its okay to be authentic and have opinions!! theres no need to try to please everyone, otherwise nice vid : )
My list would be: (best to worst)
1. AC2/Brotherhood
2. AC1
3. AC Unity
4. AC Revelations
5. AC3
6. AC Origins
7. AC Syndicate
8. AC4
9. AC Odyssey
10. AC Valhalla
11. AC Rogue
Its quite different. :D
1. The West Indies Sea
2. Egypt
3. Paris
4. 13 Colonies (Revolutionary War)
5. New Orleans
6. Israel (my favorite location; I hope a more detailed version is released in the future rather than some half-@$$ed reskinned remaster.)
7. London
8. Northwest Atlantic (7 Years War) + Saint Domingue
9. Rome
10. Italy
11. Constantinople
12. Greece
1. Italian Renaissance
2. Peloponnesian War
3. Ptolemaic Egypt
4. Borgia Rome
5. American Revolution
6. Golden Age Of Piracy
7. French Revolution
8. West Indies Slave Trade
9. Ottoman Civil War
10. Third Crusade
11. Viking Age
12. Seven Years War
13. French Louisiana
Worst
AC Rouge 7 Years War
Black Flag Golden Age of Piracy
AC Odyssey Ancient Greece
AC Origins Ancient Egypt
Odd, i think it’s pretty good but still not really a matching time period for the Assassin and the Templar Order. It’s pretty much at the middle of the road but less fictionalised than the ones above.
Odd
AC Syndicate
AC Unity French Revolution
AC Valhalla
AC3 American Revolution
Best: Pretty much perfect for Assassins Creed with the Assassins and the Templars.
Best
AC1 Crusades
AC2 and BH Renaissance and Constantinople
AC Mirage 11th Century Baghdad
3:12 wise choice to refer it to the "holy land" to avoid controversy if a highly sensitive issue..I wonder when ubi would make a far cry game set in modern day....
I don't like Valhalla.,I think it lacks of life and an special atmosphere as Odyssey or Origins
Same I thought everyone thought that from day one that Valhalla was a bit lifeless. It was carried by its graphics and scale
in my opinion valhalla has the best setting out of any game I've played really.
I love Paris from Unity
My favourite settings.
1. Third Crusade.
2. Ptolemaic Egypt.
3. American Revolution.
4. Victorian London.
5. Renaissance Italy.
Unity, syndicate, black flag are top 3 for me. Unity was only dissapointing about history learning la touche, roullie etc. are fictional was sad
interesting accent, where are you from?
everywhere and nowhere
It’s a shame they ruined AC after syndicate in exchange for a beautiful world, give us remakes please Ubisoft 😭😂
The only criticism i have of unity: all the shit just laying around in the streets. I cant tell you how many times i kept tripping over randoms crates and tables.😂
Wow AC 1 had problems with the middle east having villains who would have lived there. Also most of the assassins are Arabic crazy how diversity works
You put too much emphasis on the graphics of the games, not their actual settings. I’d much rather play in Constantinople or Rome than Paris or London. I also prefer those time periods too.
« Historical accuracy » of Ac1 when we have 1923 Turkish flag in a 12th century game
as a norwegian, the Valhalla Norway map wasn't good at all, it felt like the most generic depiction ever, with little to no nuance or accurate geography or locations.
