That TOM Strat is one of my absolute favorites of Kurt’s, it’s so beat up and looks strung together last minute with the void from where the tremolo block used to be. It’s really a work of art in and of itself.
@@NirvanaGuitars Hey Eric I'm a big fan, i just want to ask something. During the paramount show, it was shown in the close up shots during about a girl and endless nameless that Kurts DS-2 had only 3 knobs. The tone, distortion and turbo knobs. I have found the tone and distortion settings but I'm confused on the level. From your perspective what do you think Kurt could've had as the level?
@@jimarnoman I know somebody else answered your question basically. But I compared all of my DS-2s, MIJ 1988 MIT 1990 and MIT 2020 and the level on his pedal was definitely all the way up. With the MIJ sounding the most accurate as far as the transfer from clean to distorted.
I just recently bought a cool video of the boss ds 2. I will try to reproduce it. Thank you for making a reproduction of the tones and sounds of our beloved nirvana
Please can you do negative creep from the same show please :) and once again spot on tone and gear! As soon as i saw the notification i knew it was gonna be a good day
You should try dean markley 10 52 strings or the blue steel version. Or even fender 10 52. I find they get to the very close to the original sound to the studio
Hello bro, I am a current fan of yours and I don't miss every video you make, I would like you to make and talk about my favorite song You know youre right what guitar it was made with, what names it had
And if you could translate the content or a certain part of it into Spanish, your channel would be bigger, and I would like that to happen, greetings from Colombia
Great work! I've said it before, but you have an extremely fine technical skill and ability to do a 1/1 tone recreation, down to how you play. (seeing your style change from Kurt to Pat Smear parts I think is a great example of this.)without your video, Id easily assume the audio is just original pulled from a live recording. I feel like the live version of this song is always way faster than the studio recording what do you think?
Well, Kurt Played basically every song faster live. Punk rock music is fast generally speaking... In the recordings he plays slower because those songs have to appeal more people and air on radio stations
Yes finally this strat getting more recognition other than being the one on endless nameless I really like it in this form it looks so cool, anyway is it your own build or a khristore creation?
Is there going to be a Tune-O-Matic Stratocaster Episode on the next Nirvana Guitar History? 'Cause I would like to know the history of the Tune-O-Matic Strat and how you build one!
I know this may seem strange but I would love to see a video on the Noise rock influence on Nirvana. This may sound strange but as someone who grew up listening to College radio in the SF Bay area (dont really live their anymore or even in America but thats a different story), the vauge genre known as Noise rock was pretty big. This genre is often overlooked as a big influence on Nirvana and the unique blend of Pop, metal and punk they made. Kurt often credited bands such as The Germs, Flipper, Big Black, Melvins and other artists associated with Noise punk and Sludge which are a especially relevant on the Bleach sound. Plus Steve Albini (RIP) was a member of the Noise rock band Rapeman and collaborated with Jesus Lizard, which he applied some elements of to In Utero. I know this is a vague and less Nirvana related topic but it would be fun to see you tackle this part of Kurt Cobain's influences.
Kathleen Hanna, the lead singer of Bikini Kill (Kurt was dating the drummer Toby Vail), spray-painted "Kurt smells like Teen Spirit" on his bedroom wall. Which everyone knows inspired (not perspired) the title later, having not known it was a deodorant. They just played on Stephen Colbert and it triggered the story of this historic musical moment. This channel goes to eleven...
I've been wanting to build kurts tune o matic strat fir a while, have you done any other videos on it? Also how would you fix the action of a tom on a strat?

It’s because what he does is kind of niché, but he is definitely the best as far as Nirvana related guitar content.
