Oh mate you legend! I have spent weeks looking for this info and came across this by chance!! Saved the day! Just a few questions if you don’t mind? 1 us have you part numbers for the new foam and fog light adapters? Also just to confirm headlights are plug and play just DRL won’t work and bulb warning unless coded? Everything else works just a dash error? I have VCDS but unsure how to enable. You’ve honestly saved my life, no matter how much “man maths” I did I couldn’t get myself to get a facelift model! Thanks so much!
Robert Johnson thanks for the comment. The headlights will come on, but they throw a bulb fault light up on the dash. You need to get someone with VagCom to reprogram the BCM, it’s quite straight forward, you need to tick a box that allows the DRL’s to work. But you need to have a specific BCM for this, I believe 7H0 937 090D or B (which mine is).

Hey mate, I know this was a while ago. Hopefully you will see this. When you replaced the headlights was it simply just plug and play to get all functions (including DRL) working? I've read various things online about recoding the BCM and adding additional wires etc. Any insight you can give would be helpful.
Hi, depends on what type of BCM you have...mine being a Canyon '14 wasn't a plug and play and needed the Xenons coding for the BCM to allow them. But it didn't take long, it took longer to find someone who was able to do it.

Hi. A question from Norway. When the 2014 mod canyon got sold in Norway, we had a stupid law that Said you could only have 4 high beam headlights. Som the one i have only have highbeam on the for lights on the roof. Did yours have high beam altso in your headlights? 6 in total? Now the laws has change, so i want to get high beam in my headlights aswell but i m not sure how to do it.
Hi Marius, the truck only ever had high beam off the roof lights. It was a bit of an issue in the UK because MOT centres wanted to fail because no headlight beam. With the xenons, if i am running DRL's and flash i now get all 6 lights. But not if i have headlights on.

@@PaulMcC lol, yes. I think I will just stick to two led lights in the grill on my 2016 and maybe upgrade the halogen light bulbs.

i have an amarok from 2013. i have mounted the v6 led headlights but the led does not work. does it need a special adapter ?

@@PaulMcC how do you know what BCM model number your Amarok is equipped with?
renshoota you can see the BCM up under the dash above the pedal cluster and it will have a part number on it.
@@PaulMcC mine is an 89c I read that it does control drl, LED lamps but can you confirm?

Yes, but you should be able to as its only the bumper that has a different layout to the 2.0. Headlights and grill should fit the same.
Did the VW badge from old grill fit the V6 grill?

if you kept the original front parking sensors why did you have to replace the plug with the v6 one
I didnt replace the plug, the plug i replaced was for the Fog Lights, the park sensor plug is the same.
