I do reselling part time on ebay, Poshmark and Mercari. I have a full time job in HR and my husband and I own a hardwood flooring business as well. When one is slow, another picks up!

I am a full time sales person at a huge well known technology company. I do ebay, Poshmark, stock trading and some real estate as a side hustle

I’m a fulltime reseller who sells vintage on eBay, Etsy, Mercari, marketplace and Chairish. I am barely getting by. It has been such a hard 4 months.

I am working on diversifying, but my ebay sales are still pretty slow so I don't have a lot of excess cash to send elsewhere. Hoping for a good Q4. I have 6100 items listed. My sales chart is literally a roller coaster. Three days ago I did $94 in one day. The day after $400. Yesterday was $64. My sale chart consistently alternates between $200 to $400 per day and $100 or less. I don't understand why it consistently alternates. Oh well, I just have to find better items and keep listing. I am slowly going through and purging trash from when I started and fixing titles.

If I had to rely on reselling, I'd be in serious trouble. I have a full time job and reselling is the side hustle that ain't hustlin too well these days😂.

I’m retired but still work 10 hrs a week. I am a reseller on EBay and Vinted, I own 2 rental properties so yes I am always looking for other streams of income.

Jeans are my favorite to sell. When I started I tried it. But I couldn't find enough to meet my listing goal. But they sell best for me. An I find more jeans worth more than average than I do anything else

My wife asked me why I always pick up jeans even though the profit isn't high. I tell her they always sell. It's like giving a dollar for a $20 bill, even though it's not exciting it's just so simple and easy. But if I had only one item I could sell, leather jackets. It's my most profitable even though not the most frequently sold. If you are sourcing correctly you shouldn't worry too much about slow sales. Just slow down your buying. Most people spend more than they can afford and to me that's the biggest issue with reselling.

I'm retired, so I collect a pension. I'm also a caregiver to a family member who has dementia. I also on occasion take in a few boarders. Mostly, family members or friends. I make more money on Poshmark due to PosherVa. Ebay and Mercari do not pull in as much. So, yes. I have money coming in on many fronts. NEVER, put your eggs in one basket.

I’ve had a business brokering scrap lead materials for 13 years. It’s still active but changed a lot due to exporting. I also maintain a real estate license and still help past clients and referrals and pick up an occasional contract consulting gig in the CRM software space and database development. Most of my working life has been a mix of various skills and industries. It’s stayed interesting, diverse and keeps skills sharp. I’ve only been reselling for 1.5 years. Mostly clothing but I’d prefer to move into some type of hard-lines. So far it’s been fun but not nearly enough profit to make it viable long term. Still looking for that sweet spot.

No I would be bored out of my mind. I prefer to have a variety of things that way I am never bored. I have been doing this since 1998. So its a long time. Some people do great listing on multiple platforms. If you get too diverse you can never can be great. I had a person event change my life but I am back on my way up.

I would sell men jeans and shorts.....even just mens clothes...so much easier to deal with and less info.....with womens clothes its a million info listing....boot cut,mom jeans low ride flare and so on....but i will sell anything and everything if its worth it.

The smart resellers will just use eBay as a stepping stone towards bigger and better things, I love reselling but it wasn’t something I planned on doing for the next 10 years. Just a way to build capital towards real estate which I’m close to doing by next year.

100% I agree. Getting into creative finance sub to in real estate hope to start reselling properties instead of clothing. Smart move!

I am finding it is hard to be beholden to one person or company for your employment and security and live a Godly life. They are connected. Especially because big business pushes an ungodly agenda.
