This is what a lot of people do in Cuba to achieve straight hair, start with your hair maybe 80% dry and it also works to use a pantyhose instead of a scarf as it’s super thin and helps the hair dry faster overnight, if it’s still wet in the morning just add a drier on the cold setting.
So true! I have wavy/curly hair depending on the length, but even when it’s curled my a hair dresser I’m still insecure about because it’s not straight
Thank you for showing this not everyone knows this Not sure why some commentators feel intimidated by your sharing knowledge and want to make it a racial issue
Thank you so much I have straight hair already but it’s very thick, poofy and frizzy so I tried this method as I was getting really fed up with my hair having a mind of its own and when I woke up my hair looked and felt like I stept out of the salon so smooth and silky and much healthier looking. I didn’t even have the products at hand or do it as precisely as it’s hard to get my hair to cooperate lool. I will definitely ditch the heat tools for this method
This hack is very good for those who dont have straightner and also for those who have irt bcoz always using this stuff can damage our hair so this hack is the best.....
My hair is meduim short ( baisicly it's short but it's the longer version of short, but it's not medium length) and it's completely straight until you get to the ends. My hair does this weird thing where it flicks REALLY badly at the ends and it's so annoying, but im not aloud to use heat.
We hear you Devon. You will have to let us know if you try this technique with your shorter hair. Our experts are also standing by to help with personalized product recommendations: aveda.cm/LiveChat. 💛^cs
Ayoo same I don't know why people don't understand because they have straight and wayvy hair they don't understand my curly hair is super duper annoying when I wake up on the morning my hair is a mess when I brush it it's get tangled so I will not try this life hack straight hair because it doesn't work on my hair lol😩🥲💛🤣🤣
Really good idea but the video skips the whole combing in the hair at the crown. I have medium length hair and once I get to the part where I comb in the crown everything gets messed up and I have to restart… any tips?

Hi, Aveda! What can I do if my hair is not shoulder length? Currently, my bangs reach just past my eyes; the sides, just past my earlobes, and the back, to the bottom of my neck. (My profile pic is outdated) Also, I really miss your Hang Straight product :(
Hi, Micah - you can still give this a technique a try! Just put your pins where they hold your hair best. Let us know how that works for you. And have you tried Smooth Infusion products as an alternative? We know it's not the same, but we think you'll love them just as much. ^lg
@@aveda Thanks! I'll give it a shot and let you know how it goes. As for Smooth Infusion, I had switched to it but my hair didn't seem to stay straight as long. What I liked about Smooth Infusion though, was that not as much product seemed to remain in your hair, but I also think that was the problem for me. My city also has incredibly hard water, which is particularly difficult to mitigate; it's quite frustrating. I'm hoping this no-heat technique with Smooth Infusion is exactly what I was looking for!
