Clear, concise instructions. Safe and simple options (for someone who doesn't like to mess with electrical stuff🙂). Thank you!
The only video I could found that really shows how to fix a loose outlet box. Thank you
Great video, I was aware of the folding spacers but the others you mentioned are great alternatives to know about!
I had no idea any of these things existed, but how incredibly helpful to learn about the different causes and solutions; thank you so much! I'm a "Why?" person, so your explanations are SUPER helpful! 🤩
Thanks so much for this most helpful video. It is greatly appreciated, along with all your others.🙂 Keep up the awesome work.
This is one of the greatest RUclips Simple how to videos! Thanks!
You get the spacer when you buy mirror plates. I think they should be with all plug in parts. Just in case.
Ron. Great video! I loved your complete and matter of fact presentation...I especially liked the fact that you avoided any awful introductory jingle and overwhelming background music and you JUST GOT ON WITH THE JOB! Well done.
Agree 💯!!
Ron, outstanding video on how to fix these electrical situations. Really appreciate how concise and informative you made this video. I was not aware of the various extensions you could buy for the electrical box. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much for this video. I love that you don't add so much fluff. You give clear instructions and what each item is.
Wanted to say Mahalo for having this video still available for viewing. Your video made it possible for us to run a 25' line from the sink to the refrigerator. And yes, Amazon was the place I purchased the line and clips. I ended up using your link for the water line, but I had issues, but I was able to purchase it. Mahalo again for the help, even years later. 👍 👍
watched at least 10 tutorials. this was by far the best. comprehensive yet easy to understand
Great suggestions to fix an annoying problem. Thank you!
Looking at buying my first house and these videos are great! Thanks Ron!
This was a fantastic video. One of the best how-to’s I’ve seen on RUclips.
real useful, thank you
Where have you been all my life?! Great video. Thanks so much!
Thanks answered the question I had in my mind what to do when I add an extra layer of drywall.😀
Wil any of the methods work for a loose tooth?
No but after the tooth is out it might. 🥴
Thanks Mr Hazelton. I can’t wait to try this. The loose outlets are so annoying-admit I bent prongs-but now I know better. Whew!!!
Easy to follow and straight to the point, awesome video, thank you!
This was exactly what I was looking for!!! Most helpful video on the internet. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the video! What causes all my outlets to come lose is that it’s becoming so difficult to plug and remove appliances. What’s a good way to make this smoother? Can I use WD40?
Not the video I was looking for but still nice to watch. Thanks.
Currently, there are outlets in my home that won't hold a plug anymore. I believe the "receptacles" that hold the plugs are worn out. Seems like I'll have to replace the plugs entirely.
Thank you RUclips dad. I needed to confirm that my apartment did NOT fix this right which I had a feeling!
I’ve tried all three types of spacers, but the screws simply will not stay in place, I can pull them without any need to unscrew/the slide right out. Do I buy thicker screws? I h
Squeeze the plug in with your shirt until the two metal parts are closer to each other. DIY
Loosening the screws fixed it. thank you.
Thank you! I will now go fix my outlets.
Tube spacer. Try plastic wall anchor; cut to depth needed.
Still going strong 👊🏻 great video too.
bushings not alternative chords
prong density comes before geometric shaping ; ever did a micro pave' by rubber tide nozzle light switch

Great video, and helpful !👍
Great video! Helped tremendously.
Very helpful. Thanks so much.
Is it bad to use metal washer or metal nuts instead of plastic spacers?
I'm learning everyday
Tremendous video. Thank you 🫡
This was great.
Thanks Ron 👍😁
I am a single mom and I can't afford electricians so I try to learn as much as I can to do myself (safely of course). This video was so informative and easy to understand and I'm so thankful you actually provided footage of each scenario. I'm saving this and will be implementing it!!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you 👍 very helpful 👏👏
Whats the red one called?
Asome thanks for tips 👍🏼
Saved me probably a $500 electrician bill. Top and bottom were just loose. Many thanks

Thanks so much for this video. They just redid a bunch of electrical sockets at my moms house, however, they are all loose as hell. I have to go back and fix them. I appreciate the time you took to give us this information. Have a nice day, and happy holidays.
Thanks Peepaw :)
Great video Ron

Nice
Loved this video, thanks dude.
You are fantastic Ron!
You are the man!! Thank you.
Wall Plate Spacer. Excellent- that is what I need!
Thanks Ron you're a hero we don't deserve
Super-clear video! But for some reason, the wall plate spacer did not fix the "loose box in the wall" problem for me. I installed the wall plate spacer as shown, reassembled everything, and plugged something into the upper outlet. When I pull on the plug, the outlet still moves just as much as without the wall plate spacer (particularly the top half of the outlet). Any further ideas? Thank you!
Because the box or whatever the screws are mounted to is loose. Not the outlet plug part (the white part that you plug into), but the actual whole box/mounting area.
Cause this is not the actual issue. Old dude is an idiot lol
Thanks great tips.
Amazing!!
great video. thanks.
Wow, so helpful!!! You're the best, Ron!
Where to get these parts?
Thank you so much!
Pretty neat spacers!
Thank you Ron!
Awesome video
Our outlet in the living room where the TV plugs in is loose which has been bothering me a lot. I don't feel like telling my dad or calling an electrician to fix the outlet by using the steps from this video here as it's not really a safety hazard or that the plugs don't work as it's all normal as it would take a lot of time to fix it as we need to use spacers to make sure it doesn't get to recessed into the wall where the cover plate is at it's normal distance from the wall and the electrical box. But since it's annoying me and it's not worth really to fix as there's no safety issue or that the plugs are malfunctioning, I decided to fix the looseness by putting big tape on the side where it's loose where it's the left side. All of the others sides are okay and I probably think this happened because it was installed too deeply into the wall and that proves that all outlet installations are not at the same depth from the wall
