I know there were some things about Glenn Frye that some didn’t like, but man he was a very intelligent person and talented of course.

Glen was so generous with his time. He was a visionary in his own way. But you can see how meeting the right people when you're starting out makes all the difference. If people truly cared about the history of popular music in America, this video would have many more views.

I met Glenn Frey on Jan 31st 1997 at Pebble Beach golf links and he was very very nice to me and autographed the front and back side of “Hell Freezes Over” album. I had it professionally framed and it remains one of my all time favorite pieces of memorabilia.

I got a shirt my dad gave me with all them signed it, hell freezes over tour, it's in plastic sealed up, he was just a collector not really a fan, my mom met them in a elevator in the 70s working for a radio station, and they gave her kisses😂 she always told me this growing up

Glenn suffered from stomach issue's his whole life...and its what ultimately took his life. You can tell even during this interview that was bothering him and he tried his best to play it down. As a person who has stomach issues and plays in a band, I just can not imagine how Glenn was able to carry on when the Eagles played those last concert tours they did. I am so lucky I was able to finally see the Eagles with Glenn on the last concert tour Glenn ever played on. BTW----He spell's his name with 2 nn's - reminds me of after Tommy Tedesco died - they got his name wrong too.

This was very interesting to watch. Most of (not all) what Glenn talks about here is talked about/covered in the History of the Eagles documentary. What's interesting here is Glenn's demeanor and the pauses that he takes to think about how he's going to answer and his general laid-back vibe. A bit different than how he typically was on camera. Thanks for posting!

Glen went into detail about how the band got started with Linda Rondstadt, then the interviewer asked, so how did you guys get started? While talking about the album Desperado, the interviewer asked had the Sergeant Pepper' album come out yet. Yikes, different decades with no clue. I'm sure the interviewer is a nice person and this was still a great interview.

Frey plays the diplomat here, but, having read a fair bit about the Eagles and David Geffen, my take is that the reality was (of course) more complicated. Frey was clearly intelligent, talented, and thoughtful, but also had a sizable ego, could be quick to anger, and seemed to enjoy getting in people's faces without much provocation. In sum, probably not someone you'd want to spent a lot of time around.

Well he tried to beat up Don Felder after the last 80’s Eagles concert, refused to speak to the other band members after the incident, didn’t participate in recording overdubs for the band's live album “Eagles Live” and also told Henley that he wouldn’t do the “Hell Freezes Over” Reunion unless he and Don made more money because Schmidtt, Felder and Walsh hadn’t done as much post-Eagles, i’d have to say Frey was the worst. Having said that though, I still think he is a brilliant musician and good storyteller.
